4 when opposites attract stars!
I really enjoyed these stories.
They were all slow burn romances.
The stories are short, sweet and well written.

When opposites attract, sparks will fly.

Excerpt

I instinctively reach out to grab something to hold on to in an effort to halt my fall. Silly really, because I'm stepping out of the taxi right in front of the hotel lobby doors and there is nothing to grab hold of.
Well, generally there's not.
Today, however, there is.
"I've got you," a man says as his hands slide under my arms and he stops my collapse.
This all happens in a blur, but at the sound of his deep voice, my head snaps up so I can look at him.
Oh. My.
Mesmerising blue eyes capture mine for a moment before I drop my gaze to appreciate his sexy, bearded smile. In my experience, those kinds of lips promise many things that a girl like me doesn't have the time for. I'm all for fun sexy times, but it's the heartbreak a man like him promises that I don't have the time for.
Lips don't lie.
Neither do tattoos, and as my attention diverts from his lips to his neck and down to his arms, I see tattoo after tattoo.
Uh-uh.
Tattoos and I do not go together.
I gather myself and look back up into his eyes. Steadying myself, I move out of his hold and say, "Thank you."
He's stopped smiling, but his lips twitch and his eyes twinkle. "You're welcome."
I narrow my gaze on him. Why is he looking at me like that? Like I amuse him. "Are you laughing at me?"
He continues to watch me with that same lip-twitching gaze. "Do I look like I'm laughing?"
Gripping my bags tighter, I square my shoulders. "No, but there's something going on in your mind and I'm sure it's some kind of laughter at my expense."
He runs his fingers through his brown hair. He's got one of those haircuts where it's really short on the sides and the rest is styled into that sexy, tousled look—the kind of look that makes my belly flutter. His voice distracts me from thinking about his hair when he replies, "Let's just say I'm amused when a woman, who is clearly attracted to me, flinches at my tattoos. They're just ink on skin; they don't tell you about the kind of man I am underneath all that art."
"I'm not attracted to you," I snap.
I'm not.
Really.
His brows rise. "No? Could've fooled me."

Really that should be reason enough to one click this little gem but if you like value for money them I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. From a first kiss to a tattooed not so bad boy each story is unique, sweet and well written. Having been drawn in by the inclusion of Nina Levine as she is one of my one click must authors I was not disappointed, her story has all the elements of her longer work and left hoping I would see more of Tanner.

Favorite Quotes:

“They walked around the pound, not saying much, just enjoying each other's company. He tried to show her how to skip rocks, but she failed miserable at it. He laughed at her efforts and she threw the rocks at him, which was much better at."

"People can say money doesn't buy you happiness, but they should try being dirt poor and see how much happier they are with money."

My Review:

Four self-contained, quick, and satisfying reads with hits of humor, romance, and sexy men. All four stories stand alone with a HEA, and range from YA first love, NA second chance romance, to adult contemporary with steam - oh yea! This was an excellent method of experiencing unfamiliar authors as I had only read one of the four, and although I enjoyed all the stories, my favorite of this series just so happens to also be one of my all time favorite Aussie authors, the talented Ms. Nina Levine.

Summer's Bay by A. C. Baxtor
Did not read this one...

Blind Faith by Teresa Gabelman ***
Julie shows up to help Clay's younger brother learn to live with his new blindness. Clay was her crush during High school and apparently still is as hot as ever. She was a nerd, and he was with the cool crowd. But maybe things weren't as cut and dried as she thought. This was a sweet short read and felt a little rushed at the end, but was still a nice HEA.

Kiss Interrupted by S. R. Grey *
Super boring, nothing really happens except every time they are about to kiss, they get interrupted. But is wasn't witty and I didn't laugh. I just skimmed a lot.

Her Kind of Crazy by Nina Levine *
She's a fashion stylist and he is the brother of her famous client and a known playboy. YAWN. didn't care for either character and the only reason I remember the plot is because I just looked it up. Skimmed A LOT.

**** "Incompatibly Yours" -- multi author anthology supporting fertility research charities.

This is a truly wonderful anthology. Four very different pieces by four great authors. Each is a great read on its own...but the collection is truly special.

===================
**** "Summer's Bay" by A.C. Bextor

I truly enjoyed this novel. It was well written and a fun, sweet, realistic book about love, faithfulness, friendship, family, and all that falls in between.

The author takes us on a journey into the weeks heading toward Ryleigh and Miles wedding. Their friends, family, and even their private feelings seem to lean more and more toward an ok life between the two, but not the one they both were expecting. As if things have become so routine that marriage was just the next step in their relationship.

As Ryleigh spends more time at home than with Miles, she starts to analyze her relationship with him, but more importantly what she really wants from the person she loves. She begins to see that with Miles, most of those won't be a part of their marriage.

Miles spends his evening with friends. Sometimes she knows who is going out with and where he is going and other times she has no idea. Miles would rather hang with his friends, and do what he wants to do, rather than spend time with Ryleigh. Despite his brother, Chase, warning him he may lose the best person that he could ever have, Miles still goes out with one excuse after another. And small towns talk...

Ryleigh's best friend, Kate, has a lot to say about Miles, Chase, Ryleigh and the wedding. She is an honest, and usually kind, when giving advice, ensuring Ryleigh's happiness, and always being there for her.

Of course when her mother step in and gives advice "not as a mother, but as a woman and friend" about what love truly and how you know you have it...something Ryleigh needed to hear, but a bit shocking, to Ryleigh, as well.

The characters really made this story come alive. As did the plot and the way the author told the story, mainly from Ryleigh's point of view, without missing a beat when those around her have something to say.

This is one of those novels that will keep you up reading until you finish; that the only way you won't read it to the end is if you fall asleep and drop the book/Kindle, etc.

It is sweet, heartwarming and a whole lot of wonderful all wrapped into one enjoyable and definitely a must read novel.

===================

**** "Blind Faith" by Teresa Gabelman

A wonderful story of long ago crushes that never were known by the other; of "second chances" when they meet again; taking chances and having faith.

Julie Daniels works with true newly blind helping them become independent again. Bo Marshall is newly blind, is full of anger, and has lost faith in ever being "whole" again. Clay Marshall is his older brother, a man Julie deems too handsome for his own good, and one who may break her heart.

Teresa Gabelman has brought together an enjoyable story line and some very strong characters in "Blind Faith." She truly melds them all together in a moving and heart felt way, so that the reader is truly taken in from the first sentence in the novel and doesn't let the reader go until long after the novel has ended.

"Blind Faith" is a sweet and heartwarming story that melds several plot lines together effortlessly; has strong characters who all bring a true feeling of realism to the novel; and was not only a pleasure to read, but definitely a novel one doesn't want to put down.

===================

**** "Kiss, Interrupted" by S.R. Grey.

"This was my chance to become a different person, one more open and outgoing. The complete opposite of whom I'd been for, like, ever." -- Brooks Happ

Brooks is an 18 year old girl who is new to North Carolina and is spending two weeks at a local camp as a counselor. She has two goals to she wants to achieve while there: to be more outgoing, as vs the quiet introvert she has been all her life; and to get her first kiss.

When she meets her friend Lacey's brother, Sebastian, she immediately falls "in lust" with him: "...he sure was nice to look at. But I needed to play it cool."

Brooks thinks Sebastian has the composure and confidence of an older person. She notices he is more outgoing and deems them polar opposites. What she doesn't realize, at least initially, is that he has his own weaknesses and fears and flaws. That he is potentially more nervous than she about college; thus his need to know that he will have her as a friend, if nothing else, at the same school.

Soon, Brooks realizes that in the areas where she has strengths, Sebastian has more weaknesses, and vice versa. To her surprise she comes to see that in many respects "...his yin brought out my yang..."

S.R. Grey truly captures the essence of 18 year old teens and their fears, flaws, strengths, and confidence. Using Brooks as her main character, she writes a sweet, fun, and wonderful novella. She takes the true essence of teen angst and brings it out in all of her characters. One truly can relate to the feelings, situations, and behaviors of Brooks, Sebastian and the other four teens at camp with them. She writes as teens would speak, feel and act...in ways we did as 18 year old.

She has wonderful characters and a fun plot that brings everything together as if it were you or me as the counselor say overnight camp.

This novella was truly enjoyable and relatable.

Having read many of the authors other novels, it was interesting to see her write from a teen perspective and to do so spot on. A truly wonderful novella that anyone would enjoy and fall in love with.

===================

**** "Her Kind of Crazy" (Australian English) by Nina Levine

What a fun, enjoyable and sassy novella.

From the very beginning the chemistry between Juliette and Tanner just zings and never lets up.

Between an odd and very brief initial meeting to being fully introduced hours later, to a misunderstanding of his relationship with her client, the chemistry is alive and kicking between them and making them both a bit crazy.

Tanner is laid back, mellow and nothing really bothers him. He is honest and has no problem being so. He is a tattoo artist who has a fair amount of his own tattoos.

Juliette is almost OCD in everything she does. She follows a strict schedule almost down to the minute, and stay out of her way if things don't go exactly as she planned. She has a today, this week, this month, this year, five year and ten year plans.

The two are so very different, yet they are all kinds of crazy about one another. Something that initially scares Juliette and surprises Tanner. They compliment one another quiet well, and often bring out the best in each other.

And how they get to their happily ever after, if they do, is a fun and crazy ride.

Nina Levine has written a sweet, sassy, enjoyable and truly wonderful novella; one you definitely won't want to miss.

I purchased this book one because it has two authors I enjoy reading, Teresa Gableman and Nina Levine, plus it is for a good cause. I was also introduced to two more authors I have never read before, A.C. Baxtor and SR Grey. I enjoyed and devoured all four small town short stories.
I loved the country story of Teresa Gableman Blind Faith. Julie was brought in to help Clay’s brother Bo learn to deal with his blindness. This is a great love story of quite shy girl having a crush on the jock in high school only to meet up years later. The connection between Clay and Julie was awesome. Bo put up a heck of a fight but the shy quiet school girl was stronger than Clay thought. I would love to hear more about Bo and Juile’s sister.
Her Kind of Crazy by Nina Levine was wonderful. Juliette knows what she wants in life she has a 10 year plan and nothing will distract her. Until she stumbles into Tanner Brady (darn high heels) and he just may have put a kink in her plan. Loved the connection between Juliette and her sister, she is always there to make Juliette stop and think about things. The relationship between her and Ana was great she was more than an employer she was a friend. No matter how professional Juliette tried to be Ana treated her more like a BFF. Juliette was determined not to let anything derail her from her 10 year plan especially a hot “bad boy” with tattoos. However, Tanner was determined to change that. I so hope we get more of Tanner in the future.
Summer’s Bay by A.C. Bextor was a first for me by this author. Ryleigh is set to marry her high school sweetheart who happens to be the brother of her first crush and man that broke her heart. You can see the disconnect the entire time between Ryleigh and her fiancé, Myles, and the connection that is between Ryleigh and Chase. I wanted to shake Ryleigh so many times to just admit what she really wanted not what she thought she had to do.
SR Grey’s Kiss, Interrupted was the first kiss gone wrong and funny. Brooks was the shy girl all her life and had never been kissed. She found the perfect guy she wanted her first kiss to be with. It happens to be another counselor at the camp, Sebastian. Only problem is night after night something happens and their kiss gets derailed. The antics of the kids, especially one little boy, in the camp were great.
If you have never read any of these authors this is a great way to be introduced to them. All the stories were good and they were quick reads. Plus it is for a good cause.

4.5 out of 5 stars

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this story for an honest review.

When I saw that Hot Tree Publishing was getting together a group of four wonderful authors to create romance stories whose profits would 100% be donated to fertility research and support charities and organizations, I knew I just to be a part. Before the birth of my daughter in 2010 my husband and I struggled for years to conceive. Many medical procedures and tears later we finally got lucky. Numerous girlfriends and coworkers have also struggled.

Thank you to Hot Tree Publishing and authors A.C. Bextor, Teresa Gabelman, S.R. Grey, and Nina Lane for not only shining light on fertility issues but also in creating one of the best anthology's I've had the pleasure of reading. Each story focuses on unlikely couples embracing the love they were meant for, unexpected but true love. From an unrequited childhood crush all grown up to a second chance romance to a teen's hope for a first kiss to opposites attracting, each story in the anthology has a unique voice and satisfying arc.

Favorite Quotes:

Summer's Bay - "Feelings and acts of love don't change, honey. Love is timeless. And acting on that love is instinct."

Blind Faith - "Opposites attract and last longer than being the same. Being the same is boring."

Kiss, Interrupted - "While I was busy ogling Sebastian - my new favorite pastime - he shot me a curious glance. Though when he took in my bikini, it seemed it was my turn to be ogled by him."

Her Kind of Crazy - "Sweetheart, sometimes in life you just have to run with it. Some things can't be figured out. They need to be felt and experienced. Sometimes you need to just live your life without second-guessing the outcome."

I hope you'll pick up a copy of Incompatibly Your: A Fertility Research Charity Anthology. Individually the stories are sweet and the characters are solid. As a whole the anthology made for a happy reading experience that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Happy reading.

Incompatibly Yours Anthology
I received this book from the publisher for an honest review.
I took this book because I love Teresa Gabelman and all of her stories. So of course it was a no brainer for me to read this novella. Then when I looked at the other stories I noticed an author that is attending a signing I am going to would be there as well…double score
Each of these stories are a fun look at the authors and their writing style. I loved Teresa’s story about the Blind Man whose older brother hooks him up with a teacher. It was super funny which is you know her stuff you know writes humor so very well. The teacher and old brother have an instant chemistry and the couple are trying to figure out what the heck is happening between them.
AC Bextor’s story was really angsty so I couldn’t put it down!! The girl who loves the bad boy but agrees to marry the “good boy” brother….oh man, did I wanna throat punch her liker her best friend, Kate and even mom wanted to do to her!! LOL
SR Grey’s book was kinda funny. The girl and her camp roommate’s brother are attracted to each other. They have many “close calls” that stop them from kissing. I laughed at the time the boy dropped acorns on their heads from a tree….LOL I mean it was super funny and I enjoyed reading this story as well. I liked the YA vibe of the book.
Nina Levine’s book has my tattooed hottie heart a pumping. When the girl is attracted to a man whom she assumes is her bosses boyfriend. She is flipping out but when she finds out its her brother…oy vey!!! I laughed at her lack of ability to rock her hot heels as did he. The banter and chemistry of the two were a good giggle to keep me reading for sure!!

I don't want to give anything away to these awesome stories, so I'm going to keep it short and just give you a bit about how I felt.

First off, each of these authors are SO talented! Having them work together for such a great cause is AMAZING! Each of these stories reflects the style of the authors and is a great way to get a little preview into each author's writing style.

Overall, these stories never failed to make me smile! The characters are great & you'll be invested from the minute you begin each story. I was a little worried upon hearing that this was an anthology, that the stories would fall a little short, being as they were "short stories." This was never a problem. Although the stories are not complete novels, they are definitely complete stories. I felt that each one was written fully, even in its shortened size.

I encourage you to purchase this anthology, not just for the awesome cause that it's supporting, but also for the stories! You'll want to add each of these stories to your library RIGHT NOW!

The anthology contains four novellas by four talented authors. I have already read books by one of the authors and this anthology was a fantastic introduction to the other others. I will be reading more from these authors.

The stories are lighthearted, fun and sexy reads. They remind you about love in stories of young love, cowboys and tattooed hunks. There is something, for everyones taste. Each story has a HEA, which will leave you uplifted and a smile on your face.

If you are looking for a light, sweet, sexy read. I highly recommend this anthology. Go on one click today...... it's for a good cause

The one thing I can definitely say about all four stories is that they are a sweet romance. If you get the chance to pick this anthology up (and I recommend you do), you'll get a good variety of tropes.

SUMMER'S BAY by A.C. BEXTOR: In one sentence ... love takes time, be patient ;)

BLIND FAITH by TERESA GABELMAN: um .... hilarious. not to be missed!

KISS, INTERRUPTED by S.R. GREY: The romance took a minute to get going and I'm not a fan of those story lines, but the writing was solid.

HER KIND OF CRAZY by NINA LEVINE: Nina Levine can do no wrong #TRUST and she made me LOL!

In this Anthology you get 4 novellas from 4 great authors. All of the stories were well done, concise and you didn't feel that you got shorted at all. I had never read Theresa Gabelman before and it was a pleasant surprise when I read her contribution. Nina Levine is always a good bet on putting forth a story that will grab your attention and not leave you disappointed. S.R. Grey and A.C. Bextor both also did a great job of showcasing their talents. I don't want to give anything away and, because the stories are short, I am not going to review each of them individually. All had the same theme of opposites attracting. A good anthology and worth the money and time to invest in it.

One thing I do love about anthologies is I can get introduced to new authors while reading my favorites as well. I have actually read other books by all these authors except S.R.Grey, and while reading that story I laughed so hard.

4 1/2 stars

Incompatibly Yours contains 4 stores by 4 very talented authors.

Love being the underlying focus in all the stories, it will suit all those who enjoy sweet romance, wonderfully scripted characters and well delivered plots , you will certainly enjoy each one.

The 4 stories all contain sexy heart throbs and strong sassy women . Opposite in nature and statue but with chemistry they all cant deny.

OPPOSITES ATTRACT :d

Humor is laced among the stories, you will have a giggle or two.

SUMMER'S BAY by A.C. BEXTOR
4

Sometimes it takes time for love to find its way. So Ryleigh finds out the hard way.

The man she had always loved is only a heart beat away, the one she thought she loves is a million miles away in his own world.

A sweet romance, with well delivered characters, this story will have you grinning and content at the way in which the author has penned it.

BLIND FAITH by TERESA GABELMAN
4

Julie Daniels is a strong confident woman and does her job well. Clay Marshall didn't know what hit him when Julie walked into his door . Bossy, confident and fantastic at her job, she weaves her magic and gives Clay's brother a new lease on life.

I enjoyed the dynamics of this story, and the underlying story line to boot. Lots of depth in a short read . Wonderfully delivered characters and a great plot that will have you reading till the very end.

KISS, INTERRUPTED by S.R. GREY
3 1/2 stars

Sebastian Kain is a man who oozes confident in himself. Brooks is the absolute opposite .

This story certainly shows how opposites attract, how our stars align when the time is right . A sweet romance that will have you giggling while reading but also waiting on that first kiss.

HER KIND OF CRAZY by NINA LEVINE
5 stars

Tattooed, beared and oozing sex appeal - Tanner Brady had me at page one. :D

Cocky , confident yet sexy as hell and not at all what Juliette had expected. This man shows her that appearance is not always right at first sight.

Juliette Taylor is sassy , fiery and well planned. Maybe a little crazy with her overthinking lol but Upon meeting Tanner her thoughts run rampant. She thinks he is all wrong for her, but upon chatting , meeting and sharing a passionate kiss or two with him she knows and feels its more.

I really enjoyed this story line, all the secondary characters played there parts. So much written into a short read I have to say I was content with the deliverance of this story.

I grinned alot, oooooed alot and arghhhed alot.

A sweet romance, that will sweep you off your feet and leave you starry eyed.

I like anthology and this features one of my fave authors and it also for charity.
The other three are new reads for me.

Great short stories will definitely keep you entertained.

Teresa Gabelman is a new read for me and hers is my fave story in the set.
I like trying new authors as I don't like to read the same thing it's can get boring and repetitive. This story is something new that I have never read before. A blind tutor Julie and a cowboy Clay.

They grew up together as they are from the same town, his brother Bo has gone completely blind and is having a hard time dealing, Julie to the rescue. She will teach him how to live as a blind man. Her job is not made easy as he resentful doesn't want to deal with his blindness and hates her. Julie can deal with that, the one issue she has with this job is her old high school crush on Clay.

This makes things interesting and I absolutely loved this story.

I Received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the author/publisher in exchange for my honest review.

This book consists of four short stories by four very talented authors. Each of these stories are about finding love in someone that is your opposite. These are sweet stories that won't take you a whole long time to read. Even though the stories aren't long they are very enjoyable and easy to get lost in.

Though each of these stories were well written and enjoyable my personal favorites were Blind Faith by Teresa Gabelman and Her Kind Of Crazy by Nina Levine. My only complaint about these stories are that they aren't long enough. I really hope that we get more of these stories.

This is a good book that I recommend to all readers.

I love anthologies for a few reasons. They introduce me to new authors and you can skip around to read the stories. But most anthologies are done with donating their proceeds to a charity or to raise awareness. I think it's amazing that this is done.

Now in this anthology I had only read one of the 4 authors. But I quickly fell in love with all the other authors' characters. The stories give a sense of hope that even when things seem so bleak, it only takes a moment, a look, or a conversation to change everything. I loved the second chances at love and new beginnings that this book created.
