Walking with God in the Backwoods

Rate this book
During the 1900s, there remained areas of poverty that many called the backwoods, which lacked modern conveniences. Throughout this era, the way of life changed drastically for many. Sheltered backwoods families went from being pioneers to sharecroppers-and finally members of the modern technological world. In the isolated, sheltered backwoods of Arkansas, three generations of one family struggled to overcome the grasp of poverty with hard work, strong faith, and a steadfast devotion to God. Undergoing hardships through trial and error, impoverished parents found favor with God, bringing blessings and rewards for them and their children. They discovered that there is a reward for the righteous.
