Lingering Arms Apartments looks like any old apartment building in any big city. But the similarities end there, as its residents are anything but typical. Silas is a gruff private eye whose job is to help those in need. What will happen when he finds himself attracted to the suspected thief of a million-dollar treasure? Hot cam-boy Dev always seems to know exactly what his clients desire. What’s his secret? Will he ever get what he himself desires? And what’s the story of the mysterious tenant behind the door of Apartment 4? The residents of Lingering Arms are keeping many sexy secrets.

Fun, fluffy, intriguing, hot and FREE on Amazon (or at least it was).
I enjoyed this first instalment of the Lingering Arms series. With an ending that very much promises more to come, this story introduces an interesting cast of characters who reside in the Lingering Arms apartment complex.
The story blends our world with elements of the supernatural, featuring a wolf shifter PI (Silas) and a 400 year old wizard (Dev), who apparently looks like a young Billy Idol and works as a psychic cam-boy. With character descriptions like these, we're already looking at a lot of light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek fun.
Although I expected Silas and Dev (who split narration duties) to feature as the romantic pairing in this story, they are merely neighbours and friends, with their potential love interests residing elsewhere. This turned out completely fine by me because with two couples there was double the romance and double the smexy times. Win-win.
This story features A/B/O themes, as well as knotting and mpreg. (It's weird how not weird these book themes are to me now).
***** As always Aiden Bates delivers a charming, interesting story ! ***** This is about the tenants of the Lingering Arms Apartments. Appearing to be normal, but each holding secrets we can't wait to learn. Amazing characters that come to life for our pleasure, intriguing tales afloat that keep us guessing, and sweet sexiness, too. I don't want to give anything away, it's a fun short read, and leaves us wanting more, more, more. Lovely. Highly recommend ! ENJOY this one.

What a great series this is going to be! Off to a bang, the stories of the Lingering Arms residents are intriguing from the start. Dev has got the most unusual of occupations and I love the the details of his craft; I can't wait for him to find love. Silas is a cool character for ongoing stories, either on his own or involving other residents, and his first case is highly unusual. I love how the story of Silas and Arlo has some of Aiden's signature story facets so that his longtime fans (like me!) aren't disappointed. I think it was very clever to leave Robert a total mystery so that we have plenty of new ground for coming installments. Joy and Gabe are also a good idea to balance things out. (These details of the names of residents are given out right away so no spoilers.) This is a standalone book so no worries about it being just a serial--no cliffhangers and one resident has a great romantic ending already. Highly recommended. A free advance copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.
I don't want to be harsh but there's no avoiding it. There really isn't much of a plot. The characters and writing are incredibly bland and flat. Apart from the erotic scenes, there is nothing that kept my attention. I only finished reading it because it was so short.
No heteronormativity or homophobia so far. Check.
Mpreg has never been my cup of tea. So far it doesn't have heternormative elements but the pregnancy has only been announced at the end of the book. Somehow I think Omegas don't get/allowed to top, Alphas at least. The idea of having a power imbalance in a relationship puts me off. That's why I've been staying away from Werewolf fics. However this is all conjecture at this point, or rather previous experience I had with this genre.
I highly rated this book because it has a very high appeal to me as I suspect it will to most who are attracted by the title. Aiden Bates is a talented writer, a gifted story teller. My personal preference is for books that are long,at least 200 pages, so I hope that this series has many parts.
This was a short quick read that I wished was longer. Silas is a private eye who has a client that wants something back that's worth millions of dollars. Dev is an online rent boy who has a secret. This was an ok read that I wanted more. This is my first time reading this author and although I gave this book 3 stars I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
This was a great story. It had a mystery aspect, it was suspenseful and had romance, what else could you ask for other than it was too short, I wanted more and can't wait for the next book.
In this book there are a wolf shifter, a wizard looking for love, a recluse and normal couple all living in the same building. This is a hot start that already has me wondering what happens next. I really enjoy Aidens work.
This is a good start to the next book in the series. The characters are being well developed during the book. There is some violence and sexual scenes. I'm looking forward to the next book.
An historic home is converted into an apartment building. Behind the doors are many stories. A fun book that is easy to read. I look forward to further books in the series.
This story had a lot going on even though it didn't take long to read. The story of Dev and Silas flowed very well. I really like it and I can't wait to read the next one.
Www steroidal, if it was a regular story I probably would have rated it higher. But the shortness along with the cliffhanger ending just wasn't for me. Although the storyline was quite good.
I really liked reading this book. I loved the characters in this book. I loved the relationships between the characters. I will recommend this book to everybody I know and to all my friends too.
