Linda was the youngest of 10 children and her father died shortly after she was born. She wrote her first full-length novel with pen and paper at the age of 14 - this novel was later rewritten as Wednesday's Child, part of the Day to Remember series.
She met her husband, Steve, in a Bible study, and they were married 6 months later. They both went to Multnomah School for the Bible, now known as Multnomah Bible College and Biblical Seminary in Portland, Oregon.

This book is lucky to get three stars for me. I would definitely say I gave it three stars because of the nostalgia. This used to be one of my favorite series so this is a reread. I think this last book is the worst book in the series. There are some good bones for a story/mystery but it seems like it could be way more concise . Also it doesn’t age super well and honestly, the guys are a little bit of red flags and also like 35 and 18 seems like a really big age gap.

Honestly, the last part is the best part of the entire series. Why does it take so long to get to Bret???

Once again, the plot and the setting were excellent. I read this book in less than a week, which means it was engaging enough to keep me turning pages. I was glad that things wrapped up from all three books, even though more characters died than I was expecting. The editing errors I noticed in the previous two were absent in this final book.
The thing that I just can't get past is the weird relationship between Allison and Bret. I want to put a disclaimer in the front of this book- "In the real world, relationships do not work like this. And they should not." It's never a good idea to marry someone when you know nothing about their personal life. I liked Allison, and I came around to liking Bret, but I was confounded by the way things were progressing. Their whole relationship just bugged me so much.
That being said, this series is still worth reading if you like historical suspense. I did enjoy many aspects of it.

There is so much going on in this book that you will have trouble putting it down. I loved the characters and the adventure they all went on. I would recommend this series to anyone.
