A Crazy Ghetto Love Story #1
A Crazy Ghetto Love Story
Vanessa Broughton and her older brother Wayne were as thick as thieves growing up. They did everything together being that they were just 4 years apart. Wayne is the oldest but Vanessa was the leader. Together they would cause mischief and mayhem throughout the neighborhood. See they both knew right from wrong and Wayne never wanted to do anything but Vanessa had a way of changing his mind. She had him wrapped around her pinky finger in a way only a baby sister could.
The only person who could control Vanessa was her mother Karen. Sadly she died from breast cancer when Vanessa was only 8 years old. After the death of her mother, there was nothing anyone could say or do to stop her from doing exactly what she wanted to do.
Michael, the kids father and a policeman was so heartbroken over his wife’s death that he pretty much let the 2 of them get away with murder, literally.
Across town Chris Butler had no life of luxury. Not knowing who neither his father nor mother was left Chris in a cold world alone going from foster home to foster home.
He ran away from each home until he was 13 years old. This is when he linked up with James, Frankie, Steve and Phatty G. They lived in a CO ED group home until Steve turned 18 and was able to get an apartment in his name.
Together they robbed drug dealers who didn’t live near them to survive. Chris being the youngest was often caught by the police and sent back to another home where he would eventually escape from. Chris didn’t trust anyone but his brothers and sister, Frankie. Although none of them were actually related, blood couldn’t make them any closer. They would each take a bullet and die for the other.

Not a bad read but it was a bit much. Vanessa really needed to have a softer side to make her more like-able because from the beginning her character came off as the villain. All the mess about the old lady and why she was doing what she was doing you wanted to see Vanessa fall which isn’t good in a “love story” if you want the main character to die. The situation with the rest of the gang was a bit lame as well, they did all that and lived together with no vehicles, seemed like they were just wasting their time.
Then when Vanessa gets on they all just fall up under her and it takes her dad to say something about them getting their stuff together. The ending is good enough to make you want to read the next one because I thought they had a different relationship but I have a feeling maybe she didn’t die from what we thought. Hopefully the next one will be better and we’ll actually read about a love story and want the character to actually make it out.

Decent story that has a plot twist. I liked the main character she was not your average woman at all.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoyed this story. A team of people bonded by their issues. Why is the lady cab driver(nessa’s mom) trying to kill her? What’s her ties to Steve??

Strange Story
I'm undecided. This is a strange story. I thought it was another thug/ Love Story but it's not. Vanessa is like a serial killer/hitwoman/nut with issues. She's falling for Chris who also has issues. All the characters are damaged in the story. There's a lot going on with them. I like it because it's different but it's strange because these are not your typical characters. Alexis is her best friend but they're night and day and Frankie is part of the crew but she stays crying. Vanessa's father is another weird one too. I like how it ended, giving you just enough to need to know what's going on. There's a lot of errors throughout the book that's annoying but I'm interested in seeing how this will turn out.

Family
Wow.. The author really showed us that family ain't always blood related.. The people in this book were a group of "misfits" that found one another and made it work until jealousy struck.. They are faced with betrayal and heartbreak and seem to come out until the strange lady appears.. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and family.. Part 2 has to come with it to answer the question of why?

A Real Page Turner
Man I can not wait until the next installment of this series, the way it ended it had to be another book being written. I lime the fact that the author gives you Ferrell insight about the characters and makes you care about them instantly, that is what had me so engrossed in this book from the beginning.

Almost to fanciful
I truly have been enjoying the suspense of the book and then to top it off to learn that the father was a homicide detective keeping his daughter save even knowing what she does was just the icing on the cake

Weird
This book was weird for me. It's not a bad read but it ends here for me and I see there are 2 more books after this one. I'm curious about a few things, but not enough to continue forward....

Good
I kind of figured that the lady that wanted Vanessa dead was her mom, I don't know but I just had a feeling. Dam this book is filled with chaos, chaos, and more chaos. I want Chris and Vanessa to be a couple and I hope they succeed. I can't wait to read book 2.

Ghetto as hell
This was a fun fast read. I don't believe that people can do that line of work and still have a normal everyday lifestyle. I guess I'm wrong. Read it for yourself and decide.
