3.5 stars. I love survival stories, so I had to read this one. Ms. Ellis did a good job of capturing Autumn's inner turmoil during her quest for civilization. I just wish the story had been longer. I would have liked an epilogue that explained the search from the rescuers' viewpoint. Perhaps those details were given in the media while the hunt was on, but I must have missed it. Anyway, I'm glad Autumn made it, and I plan to check out Ms. Ellis' fiction work since I enjoyed her writing style.
I love reading true stories about things like this. It shows that any one can overcome any thing. I love how the author gave all the credit to the true survive.
Amazing story of courage, determination and faith. Such a tragic story. I loved that even though she had not talked to God in a long time, she called out to Him. Her cries were heard and answered! It's a wonderful testimony that will give others hope in desperate times.
Planes crashes, she survives. End of story. There is no substance here. No interest, no technique, no insight. Waste of time (although not much time the book is so short) and money.

Short story that went fast fir me. I read it in 20 minutes and was impressed by Autumn’s courage. The only detail I was hoping to read was how she felt when she was reunited with her family. It must have been a mixed emotional time for her parents, to lose parents but have their daughter back.
Very quick read. Very little detail. While I think Autumn must have been strong and resourceful to walk for help through the mountains after a plane crash killed her step-grandparents, I would have liked to read a more personal story describing how she was able to keep going. This short book felt more like a synopsis then a story.
This story of true survival was written fantastically and I am glad that Autumn is on the mend.
Autumn is on her own in the mountains after the plane she is on crashes leaving her as the only survivor of the crash.
Autumn is proof that if you put your mind to something you can achieve anything, she was determined that she wasn't going to die on that mountain so she hiked for day's just so she could be saved, she didn't lose hope.
Autumn is a true survivor and is possible an inspiration to many people. I am happy it had a happy ending, it would have been sad is she did all that hard work for nothing.
This book gave a blow by blow account of how things can go wrong in your life in an instant.. We all at times feel that really bad things only happen to other people, not so my friend. Read this book and learn the Truth.
I remember reading about this girl and her amazing survival. Im glad her story was written up in more detail so more people could see what a brave woman she is.
