I read this aloud a dozen times a day because it seems to be the only book my 10mo old son wants me to read. He basically hands it to me and then sits down. His delight at the various animal sounds makes my heart grow every time. That said, he is pretty ambivalent about the Goat (except when mommy does it) and he really hates the Frog for some reason. He also hated the Mouse but recently he's grown more fond. All in all, a 5/5 star read.
This book was fun to read. Lots of colors, noises, and funny holes in the pages for baby to put his fingers. It is also a great book for teaching about inferences.
Parents and toddlers will love this noisy tale. Lion, monkey, goat and puppy are just a few of the animals who are scared. Young readers will be very surprised at the end to read who scared whom.
Monkey has a nervous face and calls out, OOH-OOH-OOH! Who is chasing after her with horns and white beard, too?
Puppy hears a scary sound and gives a frightened BARK! Which furry, whiskered animal has chased him from the park?
Tiger Tales Books has created a fun board book with sturdy pages just right for small hands. Bright cheery colors and fun loving animals are depicted in the illustrations. Young readers will learn about different animals and the loud sounds that they make. Young readers will also learn colors, shapes, hand eye coordination and motor skills. Bold words and fun rhyme will keep toddlers engaged. Finger holes that vary in size will keep little fingers busy. Parents can use this tool to teach language development and reading skills. This is a great book for parent and child interaction.
This book is so colorful as the cover. My boys were fighting over this book after we finished it the first. I love how it's a board book because it draws infants and toddlers to it....
Gaping into the ever smaller maws of the animals, the reader falls deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole, only to find it's a simple twist at the end.
Another birthday book for Z-- I'm a big fan of this line of books; great illustrations, the books are fun and not too short or long, and very sturdy. Another win!
The colors in this book are beautiful. I think its fun for young children to read because not only are they learning about different animals and their sounds but also able to play with the book. "Bright artwork, finger-holes, and a cheerful rhyming story make learning come alive!" As the animals noise gets louder does does the finger hole. For example, the lions whole is the biggest and the hole for the mouse is the smallest. At the end of the book the mouse has a megaphone that helps him make a big noise. This shows a lesson to young children. Even though the mouse is small and his noise is quiet, the megaphone made it louder. The lesson is you can always change the way things are. you don't have to follow the stereotype, be who you want to be and do what you want to do.
