While playing fetch with his loyal dog, a young boy throws the ball a bit too far and soon the enthusiastic pet is off on a citywide adventure--tracking its every bounce, roll, and hop along the way before bringing it back.

boy and dog playing, action-oriented, play-oriented, not many words, the dog chases his ball all around until he eventually gets back with his owner. great use of PREPOSITIONS - can have kids show you under, over, in, out, down, up...etc...
Joey and Jet by James Yang is ok; not great. The illustrations, according to the book, are digital pen and ink. I don’t know if that means the ink is also digital or not. Also there are some pages that look more like collages. The text was kind of boring. It’s very teach-y. I think the illustrations are cute, and I do like the end of the book when the dog has to go back through everywhere he’s already been.
This might be a cute book for kids who really love dogs, but I don’t think we’d use it for our storytime.
Great use of prepositions. Joey throws the ball and Jet chases it among the birds, through the trees, on the water, down the hill, up the hill, across the street, between the tables, over the roofs, into a hole, out of a hole and back.
