Going undercover as a maid at the Lodge Royal in an attempt to meet her half sister, Katerina, isn’t one of Amelia Lennox’s best ideas. Kat has no idea of Amelia’s existence, and her recent marriage to Nico, the new King of Monterra, puts her further out of Amelia’s reach. Even if Amelia finds Kat, there’s no guarantee the queen will believe her—or that she wants a sister.
To complicate matters, Amelia meets Davide Ciano, who steals her breath away and makes her knees weak. She’s never believed in the kind of fairy tale that her sister found, but then she’s never known anyone like Davide. Maybe, if their secrets don’t keep them apart, she might begin to believe.
Royal Quest is the story of how two sisters find each other, and about love—true love. Because in Monterra, fairy tales do come true.
Teyla Rachel Branton grew up avidly reading science fiction and fantasy and watching Star Trek reruns with her large family. They lived on a little farm where she loved to visit the solitary cow and collect (and juggle) the eggs, usually making it back to the house with most of them intact. On that same farm she once owned thirty-three gerbils and eighteen cats, not a good mix, as it turns out. Teyla always had her nose in a book and daydreamed about someday creating her own worlds. She is now married, mostly grown up, and has seven kids, so life at her house can be very interesting (and loud), but writing keeps her sane. She thrives on the energy and daily amusement offered by her children, the semi-ordered chaos giving her a constant source of writing material. Grabbing any snatch of free time from her hectic life, Teyla writes novels full of mystery, romance, and imagination. She warns her children that if they don’t behave, they just might find themselves in her next book! She’s been known to wear pajamas all day when working on a deadline, and is often distracted enough to burn dinner. (Okay, pretty much 90% of the time.) A sign on her office door reads: DANGER. WRITER AT WORK. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. She loves writing fiction and traveling, and she hopes to write and travel a lot more. She also loves shooting guns, martial arts, and belly dancing. She has worked in the publishing business for over twenty years.
This was originally part of the Royals of Monterra series, but has been updated and re-written under Nobles of Beaumont. I thought it was a cute, fun novella. I enjoyed the characters and setting. Amelia has had a hard life, but has worked hard and even made it into Standford. She has a nice job lined up when she learns she has a sister she never knew about. A sister who just happens to be a queen in another country. So, she jumps on a plane to try and meet her. On her way, she meets the gorgeous and mysterious Davide. I thought they had a cute, love-at-first-site relationship. Since its a novella, it moves along quickly, but was a fun escape.
I got this as a e book for subscribing to the authors website. It wasn't too bad of a book. It had a good story. Not really the genre that I usually read but nowadays I read almost every type of fiction genre. It was a quick read so I read it all in one day.
I was in the mood for a cute, fun, short read and that's exactly what this was!
Amelia is a Stanford graduate who is visiting Monterra for a few months before starting her new job so she can meet her half-sister Kat (who doesn't know she exists). Her two best friends, Emerson and Harper, are with her. Amelia has grown up poor and has depended on scholarships and hard work to get through college, but has recently become an heiress. She's at a crossroads in so many different ways and the last thing she needs is to fall in love with someone in Monterra.
Davide is Monterra royalty, but she doesn't know this when she meets him. And he doesn't tell her because he wants to see if she will love him for who he is. He knows she has ulterior motives for being in Monterra, but he doesn't know what they are.
This was a short story, but it had some great supporting characters that added to the story!

MY TAKE I loved the first book that Sariah Wilson used to create this world. It was a delight to revisit it under the capable hands of Rachel Branton. As a kid I was totally to the creation of fan fiction, so this was fun. The characters were charming, and Davide was delicious. Nothing like finding true love when you're searching for a sister you've never met.
This is another Kindle World novella from the Royals of Monterra (a series I love). This one was romantic and I read through it so quickly because, well, I just had to know. Secrets, secrets. They come back to bite you. This is so fun- this Kindle World. Lots of authors telling side stories based on a series that I love. I have only read two so far but I'm hoping to pick up a few more eventually.
I'm not a huge fan of romance novels, or of the love-at-first-sight trope in particular, but I really enjoyed Royal Quest.
Amelia is working a summer job as a maid in a hotel frequented by the royalty and nobility of the tiny fictional European country of Beaumont, nestled between Germany and Switzerland. She's just discovered that the long-lost big sister is the country's new queen and Amelia wants to get to know the only family she didn't know she had. But then she meets Damien, and the two fall head-over-heels for each other. But they both have secrets threatening their relationship, and Amelia's chances of meeting her sister.
It was a sweet, clean romance. It's about emotion, not the physical. I really enjoyed it. Amelia and Damien are great together, and he treats her so kindly, which is especially heartwarming after her rough childhood. Even though I found their love-at-first-sight a bit hard to believe, I still loved how the two connected. It was like they'd known each other for years and not days. It was like a modern-day fairy tale. I'm definitely adding more of Rachel Branton's books to my tbr pile!
Armed with a letter she convinces her two friends to accompany her on a quest, find the sister she didn't know she had. Her life hadn't been easy and now she had another hurdle. Taking the easy way isn't her M.O. but that may not be the only concern now. I love this sweet romance and a peak into the beginning of a new series. This author does a great job of adding all the feels in a short span of words but this time I needed more from her. I still ended the book with a smile and in my happy place because some how or another that's where I always end with her books. Ms Branton continues to provide sweet clean romances that take your breath away whether it's her suspense or romances.
After her grandmothers death, Amelia Lennox finds an old letter from her birth father saying she has a half-sister named Kami. With her two best friends in tow, she travels to the country of Beaumont where she works as a maid at the Suite Royale lodge in hopes of meeting Kami, who is married to Christophe, the King of Beaumont. The only nobility she meets are rude and entitled, but their friend Damien is yummy if only she had time for distractions!
This is a sweet romance with happy endings – my favorite type. The author made good use of descriptive text in bringing the scenery and architecture alive.
I thought this was a really sweet charming read. Amelia had been tossed to and fro in her young life. She hadn’t known the safe, loving home life that many of us encounter, but she made the best of her circumstances and had the guts and determination to succeed in her dreams. Once she finds out she has a half sister she goes to the end of the earth to try to find her. I really enjoyed the storyline and the fairytale romance. The characters were delightful and fun. It is a clean, wholesome short story that I really appreciate.
Quick, fast-paced read. A novella with a believable conflict that actually introduced me to the Royals of Monterra series. Loved the characters so much that I'm hoping they'll all have their own stories. Loved the setting so much I can't wait to go back! Engaging romance that made me happy and sad when it was over. ;-) (Sad, cause--you know--ran out of words!)
Quite an interesting book with a twist that I didn’t see coming. This is a feel-good book to entertain and make you feel warm and fuzzy. It reminds me of some movies I’ve seen that you know would never happen in real life, but are fun to watch - in this case, read - no matter how far fetched the story may be.
I really liked this book, it just wasn't long enough for me. If it was longer it would have been a 5 star. Cute easy read. Loved the story and characters. Would recommend
What a truly delightful story! I throughly enjoyed every single word of the story and I am so excited to read more in this series! Truly believable characters and tender love story! Fantastic job on another successful story!
If you're looking for a sweet, clean romance that reads like a fairytale, then this book fits the bill. The author kept me reading, even though I prefer a bit more grit and tension. I could easily see Hallmark make a movie out of this story.
Great clean story. Had to search to review the book. Should have a link to provide a review at the end of the story. Highly recommend the book for young readers.
This is a kindle world that is The Royals of Monterra from the book Royal Date by Sariah Wilson.
It is a novella. Only 93 pages. Wish it were longer though it does a nice job. it is romantic, funny and charming.
Amelia Lennox is working as a maid at the Lodge Royal. She has found out that she has a half sister who now is Queen of Monterra. Amelia has no other family.
Davide Ciano meets Amelia and is drawn to her right off. He has had bad experiences with women just wanting him for his title or money so he is planning to hide that he is a rich duke from her at first.
I loved the scene with them all riding in the woods. I admit I laughed a lot with them. Also liked the ball scenes.
I would read more books from Rachel Branton in the future.
This was a fun contemporary romance that really took me away! Amelia has come to Monterra to try to meet her long-lost sister and ends up meeting Davide. She is attracted to him, and they start to act on their feelings, but he's keeping a secret about who he really is, just as she doesn't mention who her sister really is. The romance was good and I was flipping pages as fast as I could to see if they could survive the secrets coming out. Ms. Branton has written three-dimensional characters that were realistic and fun, with a hero and heroine you can't help but cheer on to a happy ending. I really enjoyed this one.
This book is nice and sweet . A regular girl trying to meet her half sister which happens to be the Queen of Monterra . Disguising herself as a made in a ski resort where nobility vacation she meet this handsome guy , sparks fly and the chemistry is off the charts . They are both hiding secrets from each other but in the end love does conquers all .
This was a great story that fit in perfectly with the series written by Sariah Wilson. I've read a couple of books by this author and I really enjoyed them so when I saw that she had also written a story in the Royals of Monterra series, I jumped at the chance to read it. I loved it. I highly recommend it.
This is a quick read with all the elements of a great romance. Deception, intrigue, handsome men, lovely ladies, a foreign country, horses, mud. Did I say mud. I guess you will just have to read it and find out. I would say an afternoon well spent.
I loved this book! It is well written. The characters are delightful. I loved the alternating chapters from Damien and Amelia's points of view. WONDERFUL!!
