Mixed quality but the amazing ones made the mediocre ones worth it and it is Torchwood. Ghost Train and The Sin Eaters were definitely my favourites.

Dans l'ensemble, de bons audio, racontés par des narrateurs qui ont du talent. La qualité est au rendez-vous, plutôt égale d'un épisode à l'autre et les épisodes suivent la série avec les derniers audios se situant après le jour du miracle. On en a pour des heures et des heures d'écoute. Malgré quelques épisodes que j'ai trouvé beaucoup moins intéressant (ils peuvent être sauté aussi au besoin), l'ensemble en vaut la peine pour les fans.
Hidden:
Je n'ai pas vraiment réussit à engager avec l'histoire, et j'ai assez rapidement compris où ça s'en allait
Everyone says hello:
Une bonne idée de base, les anecdotes de gens "ordinaires" confrontés à la situation sont définitivement un plus très intéressant à la narration. Les descriptions d'action sont vraiment très bien décrites (et parfois très drôle, notamment lorsqu'une partie de l'équipe est dans la voiture de police à reculons).
In the Shadows
Un très bon récit, très bien narré et joué par Eve Myles (il y a quand même plusieurs moments de performance des personnages plutôt convaincant). Définitivement un audio très Torchwoodien.
The Sin Eaters
Ma critique principale de cet audio est que Captain Jack fait un peu trop d'allusion à d'autres lieux, planètes, races extraterrestres, etc. un peu à la Docteur et ça devient vite lassant. Sinon, je n'ai pas été très interpellé par cet épisode sans qu'il soit mauvais pour autant.
Department X
Un bon épisode dans l'ensemble, définitivement imprévisible, une bonne balance entre les scènes d'action et de dialogues.
Ghost Train
Il me semble qu'il y avait quelque ressemblance, surtout au début, avec l'épisode Meat, notamment en ce qui a trait à l'envie de Rhys Williams de résoudre un mystère qui s'avéra lié à Torchwood, mais on prend rapidement une direction très différente avec quand même du world building et du pairage (Rhys/Captain Jack ; Rhys/Ianto) assez inattendu qui donne de bons résultats. L'intrigue générale est bonne, même si la pression tombe vraiment à la moitié du second disque puisqu'il ne reste que quelques ficelles à résoudre complètement.
Army of One
La voix de Kai Owen est vraiment incroyable quand il fait la voix du méchant. Cool épisode, je ne m'attendais honnêtement pas à un épisode situé peu de temps après Miracle Day, mais je n'avais pas consulté la date de parution de l'audio non plus.
Fallout
Les quatre derniers audio du coffret se situent après les événements de Miracle Day où Torchwood est encore pris aux États-Unis, sans base on dirait, et où différentes organisations internationales peuvent alors intervenir en terme de présences et dangers extraterrestres. Le policier Andy Davison est donc pris à devoir sauver le monde après un coup de fil à son ancienne collègue Gwen. C'est définitivement un épisode basé sur une prémisse de "on voit voir Andy sauver le monde seul sans Torchwood" et ça réussit à ne pas être plus extravagant que le personnage même. Ma seule critique est que le personnage rebondit un peu mal avec une acolyte temporaire, dans tous les cas, pas aussi bien que Big Finish Productions le fait avec Norton Folgate, Andy est un personnage plutôt comique à la base et les scénarios trop sérieux ne semble pas trop lui sied.
Red Skies
Une bonne prémisse et un bon rendu. Assez intéressant parce qu'il semble se situer un peu plus loin dans le futur avec un Captain Jack beaucoup plus sensible et attentif aux sentiments des autres. Je crois que c'était aussi le seul épisode avec un personnage ouvertement gai (autre que Jack et Ianto) et qui joue un rôle important dans l'histoire, je pense que les enjeux LGBTQ manquaient définitivement à ces audios, au moins, on a un petit correctif ici.
Mr Invincible
Le seul audio qui fait directement référence à un précédent (Red Skies) et développe un peu sur la prémonition de Jack concernant la mort de Gwen. On touche quand même aux thèmes de la série télévisuelle avec une des personnages qui doit composer avec des pouvoirs, des conséquences et la mort. Jack poursuit sur la lancée d'une empathie grandissante, mais pour un dernier épisode audio de la BBC (pas la faute de l'auteur), on est peut-être un peu déçu que ça finisse là et qu'on a pas vu le trio de Torchwood sauver le monde ensemble. La résolution d'un des conflits m'a semblé un peu trop Deus Ex Machina.

Oddly uneven set of stories compared to what I'm used to in other parts of the Whoverse.
The first story, Hidden, was confusing at first and took a while to come together. And honestly I'm not remembering once around it. It was an odd choice for first story in, IMO.
Everyone Says Hello started out strong and creepy but the ending didn't live up to the beginning ambiance.
But there there's In the Shadows, which worked on every level, with all the characters, and gives the reader a whole lot to consider too. Perfection.
Sin Eaters The characters of the story were caricatures seen through a rather cynical lens. But the plot was good.
Departement X was a solid adventure and I appreciated the setting of the dated department store. There's something naturally creepy about that. Really wished I would have known the answer to how the one clerk (?) knew about what was in the freezers. And the whole Firestone thing... classically Torchwood.
Ghost Train Classic tale where a secondary, non-heroic character - Rhys - ends up at the center of an adventure, full of comedy and adventure. Loved the reference to the same department store as in Department X - and refrigerators.
Army of One The best part of the story was Rhys meetings all the other Rhyses and their Spartacus moment.
Fallout The Torchwood folks peripheral at best, but the characters in the story hold interest.
Red Skies Jack on a solo adventure. While conceptually a fine idea, the way it plays out feels cheesy and a bit after school special.
Mr. Invincible It was a decent story. The ending is a bit odd, with elements of "I feel so guilty!" "Don't feel guilty! You didn't really know A, but hey now you have B!" "Oh, okay!" It just felt a less than solid note on which to end the collection.

The best part of this audiobook Torchwood anthology was, by far, the narration. Narrated by cast members of the TV series, it really felt like they were connected to the stories they were reading, and they sounded fantastic. My favourites for this anthology were probably Kai Owen and Burn Gorman, who seemed to really get into the narration and enjoy themselves.
As with all anthologies, there will always be some that are better than others. My personal favourites were probably Everyone Says Hello by Dan Abnett and Department X by James Goss. Content wise, because all of them were about an hour long, some struggled with the time, and felt like they were paced awkwardly, and a lot of them had issues with abrupt endings, or endings that weren't justified.
As with all anthologies, there will always be some that are better than others. My personal favourites were probably Everyone Says Hello by Dan Abnett and Department X by James Goss. Content wise, because all of them were about an hour long, some struggled with the time, and felt like they were paced awkwardly, and a lot of them had issues with abrupt endings, or endings that weren't justified.

If you are a fan of the show you should love it. Someone who isn’t already familiar with the characters probably wouldn’t be engaged because time isn’t spent on getting to know the characters. They are short stories so it’s all about the plot.
A word of warning: If you are interested in the audio version be aware that each story is narrated by different people and many do a poor job with Jack’s voice. The first narrator makes his character sound like an immature girl and some of the others have a strange American accent. You may be happier with the print edition.

The first few stories were good, but they some of then had a very abrupt ending. But when they reached beyond the rubbish Americanized season 4 I lost interest

Very enjoyable, especially those stories that are read by the original Torchwood actors and set in the original Torchwood timeline.
