Since his wife's death, Joseph Scott was misery personified and only wanted to be left alone. Unable to swallow his grief, he slid further into despair, and eventually lost his job. If not for his young daughter, he would have given up completely. In a desperate attempt to break the fog of grieving, he moved to his childhood home of Weatherton, away from the memories of his late wife.

Many years ago, Cicely "Sissy" Evans fancied herself in love with Joseph Scott. Her fifteen-year-old heart had been crushed when he'd moved to Chicago seven years ago, but she'd never forgotten him. When he returned to Weatherton, she was shocked at the difference. Gone were his gentle ways and eyes filled with laughter, replaced with a coldness that saddened her.

Determined to see him smile again, she embarked on a mission to renew their friendship, but the trip didn't go as planned. Will everything they had be left in the past or will they dance on dew once more.

Good, Cozy Read

There were several typos in this story, but I still liked it. The simplicity of the storyline, along with a couple of interesting MCs really made the story work for me. I particularly liked how a correct decision was also the most painful, but the hero went through with it. And the way the hero realized his mistakes and worked to set them to rights was also impressive.
If you enjoy clean, historical, inspirational romance, you should give this a try.

Western romance fun to read

This was the fourth book in the series and it nicely tied all the entwined tales to a sweet ending.

LOVE IS LOVE, NO MATTER WHERE IT WAS FOUND
I loved this emotional second chance romance. From a love formed in childhood, a promise made and broken and seven years come to a reunion. It is time to put away childish notions, reflect on the past and contemplate the future. Can Sissy forgive Joseph for leaving her and will he own up to his mistakes made by breaking a promise? Joseph was placed in a difficult position after the death of his father and the responsibility of his mother and brother with the move to Chicago. It is a reminder that even as Christians, we will endure love, heartache, pain and maybe we had to be broken before we could be put back together, this time, stronger. Sissy put her life on hold as far as a relationship with a man or marriage, but she devoted her time to children and teaching. Everything happens in God’s timing, and His will, and way is always best. The plot kept me captivated with a great cast of characters and a heartwarming dialog. This story will read as a standalone in this series.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

What a beautiful love story. I love how Sissy and Joseph came together after so much time had passed and they were able to have a future together. And Gloria was so accepting of Sissy. That made it especially great!!!!!

Simplistic

The plot line follows exactly what you'd expect, but Dancing on Dew does deliver a light diversion. Great for bedtime reading.
