I got this story in exchange for an honest review. Before I got it, I was made aware that it was still being edited so some of my critiques may no longer exist by the time the fully reviewed and edited edition comes out. Wild Bear Love is the story of a girl named Keyla who lost most of her family when she was a baby. She lives with her elderly aunt Cynthia. Together, they run the only bakery in the small town of Bear Cove. It is also a story about the man she’s in love who has a secret as well and ends up betrothed to another. The premise of the story is very sweet but at times, the speed at which things happen can be a bit confusing. I reread several parts over to be sure that I hadn’t inadvertently missed anything. Keyla finds herself in danger several times throughout the story. She learns the truth about her family, the love of her life, and someone that she initially viewed as an enemy. If there were another story following this one, I would definitely read it because the characters are likable for the most part and their motivations are clear. There are still a few characters from the beginning of the story that I wonder about and I’d love to know what made Jackson go from sweet and shy to what he eventually became so quickly and how Corin goes from being vile and conniving to suddenly remorseful. By the end, there is a HEA and peace is made for everyone.

I chose to read and review this book. I love shifters and bears are my number one this is a sweet badass bear and his mate I was surprised a lot this one but very captivating I recommend it big time worth reading

Oooook.....
I've got to say that i didn't enjoy the book much and i will explain the reasons right away.
As a beta reader and reviewer i am used to reading a book and finding inconsistencies and things that don't work and need to be changed...so i tend to see those things even if i just read a book for my enjoyment.
First of all too many things happen that its just takes it over the top and you reach a point where enough is enough.
There were plot holes and time lapses that left me wondering what in the gods name was going on.
The story could have been better the truth is but it has a lot potential and truth is that despite all stuff not working for me it was a quick read with enough potential to be much better.
Then there were the main characters... The female main character was bordering on the pathetic side....She was crying all the time for a man who actually left her twice and all kind of bad stuff happened to her repeatedly like someone had cursed her.
The main male character though he was supposed to be a clans Alpha never truly showed any Alpha towards the pack(ok perphaps that has to do with the fact the book was centered around the couple), still he abandoned his mate twice and then from the start of the book till the end all he seemed to do was rescue the poor human.
Then there were the main evil characters.
We have the main female character that after a big out of the blue revelation she turns good.
and the main male character that from sweet kind man turns out phsycotic in no time.
I can understand why the female turned good....but there were lacking parts into the story so i can't possibly justify why the good guy turned pshycotic so fast.
Then there is the kid that we never actually see being reunited with his family that we actually did expect!
Now after all this you're going to ask me why the three stars...
It was fast paced and with all the things happening it turned out funny at points also it got potential and also the writing and the whole work behind it was actually good.
Also this review is based on an ARC(Advanced readers copy) so whatever comments i have done may have been fixed already.
This is the first book i read of this author and i would read more of her work.

Wild Bear Love is an action packed standalone book with plenty of plot twist and turns including treachery and kidnapping! It captivates the reader from beginning to end! You are engaged as well as invested in the characters and their story. It’s not a love triangle but a love quadruple of dramatic proportions!
Troy a bear shifter and leader of The Shadow Bear Clan is forced to marry Corin a bear shifter who belongs to The Blackstone Bear clan. Their clans are enemies and neither one of them are happy about the wedding because they are marrying not for love but to keep the peace between their clans. If that’s not bad enough throw in Keyla, Troy’s human high school sweetheart and the woman who owns his heart and Damien another bear shifter of the Blackstone Bear clan who considers Corin his and is not happy about the arranged marriage either and it’s a recipe for disaster!
Keyla loves Troy and thought everything was going great until he stopped calling and coming around. He just disappeared after graduation without an explanation. She’s shocked and heartbroken when she finds out his marrying Corin. Against her Aunt Cynthia’s advice Keyla decides to deliver the wedding cake to confront Troy and find out once and for all what happened! Instead of finding Troy she is confronted by a bitter Damien. To make matters worse unbeknownst to Troy or Keyla both their lives are in grave danger!
Will Troy and Corin go through with the wedding? Will Troy be able to confide his secret to Keyla? Will they figure out on time they are in danger and save themselves? Will peace be restored between the clans? Will Troy and Keyla find their HEA? You will have to read the book to find out!

This is my first book to read by Shelley Shifter and I have to say that I was impressed with the book. "Wild Bear Love" took me places I never imagine I would go. When I can feel the emotions that the author is portraying in the book, then I know that I have a really good book to read. This was one of the books, The emotions go from, crying to scared, to crying, to lonesome, and it keep going throughout the book. My attention was grabbed at the beginning of the book and kept until the end. Couldn't put the book down. This is another sign that this author knows what she is doing. Definite read for anybody over the age of 18 because of the violence and mouth watering sex.

Wild Bear Love is about Keyla and Troy. Keyla is a girl who was always left out at school and not as popular because she was a little on the chubby side. Troy is a dark handsome boy from the carpenters who live in a camp up in the woods as a group and tend to keep to themselves. But Troy starts talking to Keyla, who finds it hard to believe her luck, and Keyla falls for him bigtime. But Keyla works for the bakery and has found out that Troy who suddenly stopped coming to see her and meet her at the library is getting married, to Corin, a beautiful popular girl from school. Keyla goes to deliver the wedding cake and maybe try to find out what happened and that is when the action starts. So I will leave it there to leave out any spoilers.
This book was awesome! The characters came alive for me very quickly. I received this for my honest review. The story has your attention from the start as you get to know the characters and their side of the happenings, there are plenty of twists with lost love, marriage, battles, true mates, kidnapping and so much more you fall amongst it. Keyla has been brought up by her aunt who runs the bakery in the small town after her parents and brother were killed, she is always a loner so when she meets Troy who is similar she feels it will last forever but when he disappears without a word she is left to pick up the pieces after hearing he is engaged to be married.
Troy has met his mate but with the bear shifter clans needing peace between them he is being forced to marry Corin the daughter of the other clan, his bear protests but he has to do what is right. This is where everything changes as you are taken through the emotions and battles with plenty of surprises and shocking events which leave you wanting to keep reading that i would recommend getting for sure.

Exciting and suspenseful romance, I enjoyed every minute of it! Keyla loves Troy with all her heart, so when he suddenly stops showing up, and calling she has no clue why. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I agree with the other reviewers – this book certainly had it all: a love story, broken hearts, mayhem, madness, and most of all…secrets. I won’t retell the story, as others have that covered, however the part I DID like about it was the author, who is new to me, put her own twist on shifter lore. (Well, new to me, anyway.) I can see what she created, in her shifter world, working. The book kept me on the edge of my seat, made me dislike some of the characters (which is a sign of great writing, people!), and kept my interest until the end. I’ll admit, I didn’t see it coming. My new favorite, among shifters, are bears.

This book we meet Keyla and Troy and their family/clan. Keyla and Troy have loved each other thru High School but all of a sudden Troy stops talking and seeing Keyla and then poof he's engaged to someone else. Keyla is so upset and doesn't understand why Troy would do this to her. Troy has been keeping secrets from Keyla (BIG ONES). He must marry Corin (a bear from another clan) to unite the clans together and keep his people safe. But he still can't give over Keyla!
Some evil plans are in the works and things go horribly wrong... I loved this book. The plot and the characters were great! Loved Aunt Cynthia!

A great read!! This is my first book by Shelley Shifter and I am impressed. It's very well written, hot and sexy as well as suspenseful. There is loving and leaving, misunderstandings, mystery, and kidnapping etc. I hated having to put the book down even to eat and I love food. Keyla falls for Troy but he disappears then she finds out he is getting married and she is delivering the cake. The ensuing story will knock your socks off.

This is the first book I have read by this author but it will not be the last. The story line was great and the characters are unique. It pulls you in from the start and keeps you engaged until the end. There is plenty of twists and turns plus lots of sexual chemistry. Great story! Well worth reading.

An ARC was given to me for an honest review. This is a exciting action packed read with violence, deception , kidnapping, angst and mayhem. Things rarely work out when there is treachery behind it. And sooner or later you can't keep hiding the truth. This is a fun, entertaining and hot story. Enjoy I did.

Wild Bear Love is a fantastic read!! A story of true loves having to break up due to family obligations but fate intervenes and reunites them. This book is very well written and a joy to read. I could not stop reading it once I started. I will be recommending this book to others.

Sugar and spice and everything furry?
Who doesn't like hot baked sweets? Reading this made me want to find a nice hot cup of English toffee cappuccino or a nice cup of Darjeeling tea. Lots of surprises in this story.
