Emily Snow is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who loves angst, hot alphaholes, and enemies-to-lovers, so naturally, she writes stories about all three.
When she's not writing, she's busy being a wife, mom, and trashy reality TV addict. You know, because of all the angst and drama...
Absorbed is pretty novella, mainly told from Lucas Wolfe’s point of view. It's available to read FREE on Emily Snow's website... http://emilysnowbooks.blogspot.de/p/a...
I loved being inside the mind of Lucas Wolfe, hearing his angst and torment….. In this book we’re still waiting to discover exactly how he messed up??? What happened in his past??? We see how he felt about the events that played out at the end of Devoured and how he found his way out of the dark world he found himself in without Sienna.
I also got a glimpse of Wyatt and Kylie’s story, a taste of what I might get in Savor You. I anticipate great book enjoyment!!!
♥ Absorbed is a lovely addition to the Devoured series and a must read for all Lucas Wolfe fans.
Consumed is next... We should finally get our long awaited answers.
OMG! I read this whole series according to Amazon purchases June 2014 and NEVER rated them! Wth is wrong with me? I come across my mistakes more often than not thanks to friends writing reviews, I discover it!
Although I loved it, I hated waiting for each part to be released on the website. Hated it because each part was so good it left me wanting more. I loved how it went back and fort between Kylie and Lucas and the interim period between him leaving Sienna and his decision to get her back. Sure ratcheted up my anxiety for Consumed. So looking forward to the next step in the journey of Lucas and Sienna.
A wonderful novella that gave us insight into where Lucas's head at during his separation from Sienna. This novella really helped me connect with his character more.
Aside from Lucas's POV, we also get Kylie's POV which was fantastic. And we also get a glimpse of the other members of the band; Sinjin, Wyatt and Cal. Can't wait to read Consumed now. ♥
8/30/13 Read through part 4 of 9. I really enjoy it so far. 4 stars.
9/7/13 Isn't this a weekly thing until the new book comes out? It's been 8 days... I really hope this doesn't turn into a massive waiting game like Savor You. I like her books, but I can't help but feel abused.
9/27/13 I've been way too busy the last couple weeks. Finally caught up through Part 10. I'm still enjoying it, but it pisses me off, too. The thing that pisses me off is that she's writing more of these because the Consumed release date was moved. There is no concept of time with this series. I'm an instant gratification type of person. It's bad enough the first one was released over seven months ago, but they just keep pushing the new release date. As a reader, I feel like they're just f****** with me. Her writing is good and I really love the story. I hate that the release thing puts a dark cloud over my opinion, but I'm frustrated. Sticking with 4 stars though.
10/1/13 Not much happened in Part 11. It was more filler than actual story. I'm enjoying it though. It makes the time between books pass easier. She's said there will be four more after this. I can't wait to see how she covers the remaining month gap before Consumed. Two more weeks to go! (Hopefully! Fingers crossed!)
10/11/13 Just finished Part 12. Pretty much the same as 11. Just empty filler. Except Kylie outs herself to Lucas on accident. His reaction is much more tame than I expected. Can't wait to see how Sinjin's new lady friend works out...
10/12/13 OMG!!! I love Kylie and Wyatt. I can't wait to see how this plays out! I'm so ready for Consumed.
10/16/13 WHAT THE HELL!?!?! Consumed was pushed back again. Nov 1 is now the release date. It seems like every week I get more frustrated with this writer. The parts of this story are not posted regularly. It's just random days each week which would be fine except they is less and less in the way of story/plot. It's all just filler to kill time and appease the readers. I am yet again feeling cheated with this series.
10/22/13 I read Part 14 a few days ago but couldn't find the energy to write about it. I'm happy about Kylie and Wyatt, but I really just want to be able to read Consumed. I don't want to get my hopes up about it being released next week because there always seems to be a setback.
10/28/13 And it ends with a bang! Part 15 was posted over the weekend and it's pretty safe to assume it's the last since Consumed "should" be out on Friday. It rounded out the story very well, ending where I can only assume Consumed begins. I can't wait to read it. Despite all the frustrations with release dates, Emily Snow knows what she's doing.
Absorbed takes you into the mind of Lucas Wolfe in the down time in Devoured, after Sienna is pushed away and he writes Ten Days in order to win her back.
He knew he didn't have any right to claim her, he knew his secrets weren't going to allow him to keep her. But Lucas could not resist the woman that has been under his skin, one that worked her way much earlier than he ever realized. But now that he's had a taste - and his ex, Sam has reminded him of why he isn't worthy, he does what every broken bad-boy does. He pushes and he breaks her heart.
But Lucas soon discovers that his heart is just as broken as hers. Letting the music say the apology he is so desperate for her to hear, Lucas does what he does best. He throws his feelings into his music and hopes that it's enough to win her back.
This originally was posted in segments on Emily Snow's website and although I read the first few postings I admit I sort of let this fall to the back burner. When Consumed was rumored to have been released and then was nowhere to be found I decided against reading it to avoid torturing myself with waiting for the next in this series to be released.
Now that I have finally picked this series back up, I was amazed at how much of this story stayed with me. Hundreds of stories, love affairs and book boyfriends have been experienced since I read the last word of Devoured and I was able to jump right back into this series without missing a single beat. Emily's books have always been among my favorites, she was one of the first indie authors that I came across when I picked up reading again and I was pleased that I was easily able to fall right back in love with her work.
I love this series by Emily Snow. I was over the moon when this fabulous novella, Absorbed (#1,5 in the Devoured Series) - getting something on Lucas and Sienna whilst waiting for the next book, Consumed, to be released, was an absolute bonus.
This story is written from Lucas POV which gives us an insight into his feelings during his separation from Sienna.
I also enjoyed getting Kylie'[s POV.....fabulous. And, hey things with her and Wyatt???? Ooooh!!! Can't wait to read her book.
I don't think this added a whole lot to the story but I liked been back with Lucas again & I do love Kylie as well so it was good to be in her head for a little bit. Looking forward to :)
This book starts where Lucas decides he has to end things with sienna. It goes through his time alone, and him writing the song for Sienna. It stops right before he goes to her in Nashville. There's not that much in this book really. He missed her. His sister told him to get her back. Kylie and Wyatt are together. I haven't read her book yet, so I felt I may have experienced a spoiler in this book possibly.
Loved this. Can not wait for Consumed. I rarely follow chapters on Author's blogs. It has to be something special and this was awesome!!! I checked Emily Snow's blog religiously for each chapter.
Here is the reading order for anyone that wants to read it.
Lucas Wolfe...what I wouldn't give to just be able to crawl into the pages and plaster myself all over him. I love this series and this novella from Lucas's POV is a perfect little appetiser whilst I'm (still) waiting for Consumed to be released.
I like reading things from Lucas's POV. It was nice getting a look at what happened between the months of the break up and when Sienna and Lucas got back together.

I absolutely loved reading this series. The characters are so relatable. I really felt myself getting anxious when they were and sad when they were, can’t wait to read the next book
3.5 stars! I really enjoyed being able to get into Lucas's head. I also really loved learning more about Kylie! She is one of my favorite characters int the series.
I enjoyed reading Lucas's POV. I was like to know what the guy is thinking. This book cleared up a lot of things that were left out at the end of the last book.
I liked being in the mind of Lucas, getting to know what makes him tick. The man is a jumble of emotions just waiting to be set free and who better than Sienna to receive them?
*****Warning: This review may contain spoilers. This is a combined review for All Over You, Devoured and Absorbed. I do my best not to include spoilers in my reviews, but sometimes they slip out.*****
In All Over You, we meet Lucas Wolfe and Sienna. Sienna is a wardrobe assistant on Lucas' new music video shoot. The sparks between them burn bright and Lucas pursuit is relentless. When Sienna finally gives in, Lucas kicks her out of her life.
Two years later in Devoured, Sienna returns home to Nashville to help her grandmother deal with the foreclosure of her home. She's shocked to find out that Lucas is the one who is purchasing it. With the attraction still simmering between them, Lucas propositions Sienna. Spend ten days working for him and going by his rules, and he will give her grandmother her house back. Willing to do what she can for her grandmother, Sienna has no choice but to accept. As Sienna and Lucas become closer, his vindictive ex walks back into the picture. In order to protect Sienna, he pushes her away, forcing her to go back to California.
In Absorbed, we get Lucas' point of view. With the help of his sister, Kylie, he works to deal with his ex and the issues in his past that are causing him to stay away from Sienna. As he does that, he is also working on a plan to get Sienna back and for her to forgive him.
Lucas and Sienna's story will have you go from wanting to throttle Lucas to feeling the love growing between them. Throw in a troubled brother, a loving grandmother, a sister with her own issues and good intentions and a vindictive ex and you have a story that will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and leave you anticipating the conclusion to their story.
What I Love About This Story: It’s short it's sweet and it's to the point! It's pretty cool getting a whole short story almost entirely from Lucas' point of view. I liked that Kylie was added into the mix as well, and that Sienna was not in this sine she is the main character in the rest of the stories in the series. It was a new and refreshing way to look at a series by changing the point of views like that. Lucas Wolfe is a sexy beast, and that was definitely obvious in story. The story was hot and sexy without there being any real live at the moment sex, so that was pretty cool as well.
Cons: I wish it would've gone into Sam and Lucas' relationship a little bit more. To maybe understand her as a person would've been nice. I have lots of questions about the two of them other than from the obvious what the fucking happened between the two of them that she's blackmailing him about. To me it's just a little hard to take that someone bothers you for years, and then all of sudden says "okay just give me more money and I'll leave alone" that doesn't make sense to me.
