While in Africa reporting on a terrorist group, Hayley was kidnapped by the terrorists. This would make a terrific article - if she lived. Lucky for her as well as the other women who were kidnapped, they were rescued by a SEAL team.

She could not get her sexy rescuer out of her mind. Hayley wanted to see him again but couldn't find him. That is until she runs into him when she was researching a story at the new Navy Training Facility. Chasen had been hoping to see her again, too. So now that he found her he didn't want her to get away again. Asking her out for dinner was a good start to make sure that didn't happen. I liked their intense chemistry and that they were willing to give a relationship a try. They both found relationships almost impossible because their jobs could have them leaving at a moment's notice. Chasen's was especially hard for women to handle but Hayley understood his job and accepted how unpredictable it was. Life was good. If only Hayley didn't feel like she was being watched all the time. When

This book is a real page-turner. It's suspenseful, sexy and unpredictable. It gives us a look at what really goes on in a SEAL mission and what a SEAL's life is like when there isn't an actual mission. Then they have lots of training missions. Boring but necessary. The Hacktivists made a big impact in this story. It made me think that sometimes people do bad things for good reasons. They sure did. Chasen and Hayley's romance was fast but when you know, you know.

I really enjoyed this book and recommend it. Especially if you like romantic suspense with hot military heroes. When I read it the second time, it was just as good as the first.

3.5 stars. Although a departure from my usual reading fare, I just couldn't help snagging this freebie from KOBO. At fourteen chapters, SEAL for Her Protection quickly escalates the relationship between Holly and Chasen (oh the names they give these characters). I liked Paige Tyler's writing and she produces a well developed story.

From her other books I expected more it answered questions but I don't feel like I connected with the characters I hope the next book can draw me in.

They were cute together, not so much suspense a bit of a twist but just felt rushed overall it was okay.

This was great fun! I enjoyed the reporter/navy seal romance and Chasen is a new name for me, one I like. Hayley was a believable character, their romance felt almost instalove, but I enjoyed the mystery and adventure enough I didn't mind. A few steamy sex scenes that weren't overdone, and for about 300 pages that I bought as a freebie I'm definitely interested in purchasing book two when my funds allow. 5 ⭐!

This was a solid 4 star but then what the actual hell happened at the end??? I feel like there were 2 different stories running through the author's mind so she went half with one and half with the other. I'm just wondering if the ACTUAL story, the plot that made sense, will ever be wrapped up. Except I don't trust her to wrap anything up any more so I guess I won't know.

3 minutes in and I abandoned this book. This is so trite and ...seriously? Kitschy and lame. she fell in luuurve with his beautiful blue eyes while he rescued her from Boko Haram and he wanted to kiss her when he deposited her in the heli, because he could see her beauty underneath the grime and dirt. I am sorry. Not for me.

SEAL for Her Protection is book one in a new series, SEALs of Coronado.
Paige Tyler is also a new to me author, I have no clue how I've missed her previous books but it looks like I have a ton of back list reading to get to!!

Hayley Garner is an investigative journalist currently in Africa.
She and the other journalist's are under their military's protection which means they only get to see what the country wants them to see.
She decides to take an unapproved trip out to get her own story and ends up kidnapped by a group of terrorists.
After days in a dark cell she's petrified of what's to come.
Upon hearing gunfire and fighting she thinks the worst until her name is spoken and the man tells her he's a SEAL there to take her home.
Escaping under gunfire then put in a chopper, the only thing she knows about the man who saved her is his job and his eyes. The most beautiful blue eyes she'd ever seen.

Weeks later Hayley is home and back at work when she volunteers to cover an assignment no one else wants , campus construction for SEALs, she hopes to catch a glimpse of the man who saved her life.

Chasen Ward is attending the same event, usually he would skip them but not this time.
Running into the woman he carried to safety a few weeks ago is the last person he expected to see, especially when she recognizes him solely by his eyes.
Feeling a connection, he asks her to dinner.

His job is tough on relationships, that's why he doesn't have them but there's something about Hayley that won't let him treat her like a fling. He wants more with her but his job is unpredictable, is it something she can handle?

Hayley want's Chasen, she want's the relationship and is certain she can handle it. Her job takes her away unexpectedly as well so why not?
The problem is she can't shake the feeling of being watched. It's been bugging her since she returned from being kidnapped. PTSD is the general diagnosis but is that all it is or is there a real threat to her?

So my first Paige Tyler book, I loved it.
Suspense, romance, strong characters and a nice dose of heat.
From the beginning the writing sucks you in and I found myself so wrapped up in the story that I looked up and it had been close to two hours and I hadn't moved from the spot on the couch until I finished the book.
I look forward to this series, all the guys are likeable and great secondary characters and I'm sure their stories will be just as amazing.

SEAL FOR HER PROTECTION was a quick read and I enjoyed all the action and romance. Hayley and Chasen were both really likable characters and they had great chemistry together. Chasen is a badass SEAL and he's a natural leader. Hayley gets him a little twisted up inside and I loved seeing Chasen deal with his unexpected feelings. Now I won't lie, Hayley is a trouble magnet and doesn't always think through her actions in the pursuit of a story, but she's a genuine and real heroine. She makes mistakes and she tries to do better. She's also incredibly dedicated and loyal to her work and her friends. Together, Chasen and Hayley are really hot and sexy!

Hayley is in Africa to report on a certain terrorist group. Unfortunately, she gets an up close and personal viewpoint when she's taken hostage. Thankfully for Hayley, she's rescued before the terrorists are able to carry through on their threats.

Chasen and his SEAL teammates are tasked with the rescue of Hayley and the other women being held captive.

A month later, as Hayley is covering a story regarding construction of a new SEAL campus, she runs into her rescuer, the man she was hoping to see again so she could thank him. Chasen's response? He asks her to go to dinner with him. Nice! It seems Chasen, upon seeing her in the crowd, was determined to talk with her as he too had felt a connection between them during her rescue.

Now if only she could shake the feeling that she's being watched. As Chasen and Hayley start building a relationship, which involves an intense connection and a smoking hot chemistry, it seems Hayley may be getting too close to revealing some information that someone would rather stay hidden.

Can Chasen keep Hayley safe? Will Hayley break the story? Or is the threat closer than Hayley would've ever thought? Can their new relationship survive Chasen's numerous absences due to his job? What about when Hayley is the one going on potentially dangerous assignments again? Will the worst experience of Hayley's life be responsible for introducing her to her future?

One-click this story now and find out. It was an interesting premise with a connection between the characters that's easy to see and lovely to watch as it continually grows. I'm looking forward to, and have already pre-ordered, book two in the series which will feature Chasen's teammate, Logan. This book is another reason Paige is a favorite author of mine.

I found this book on the freebie list and found it very entertaining. Chasen is the kind of Hero every gal dreams of. He isn’t written like so many other alpha that have bedded countless woman like they have something to prove. He’s not an innocent but I like that the author chose not to write the typical love them and leave them because love scares me back story.
Haley is the independent career woman. She and Chasen meet under unique circumstances and from that time on the two are connected first in thoughts and then in reality. I loved the attraction from the start. They are both Adrenalin junkies and it is that common interest they share that convinces them things could work. The plot was good as well as were the details of what a seals life is like. I did figure out the ending before it was revealed but I wasn’t disappointed by that. There are a few graphic scenes but they are just enough depth for the characters without an overkill. A truly great find from the freebie list. Enjoy!

I know why this book was free! This is my first and absolutely my last by this author, utterly dreadful, I hadn't even completed the first paragraph before realising what an immature pile of poop this is. The writing standard is that of Enid Blyton (although the subject matter is not suitable for children). I will not waste my time on this drivel.

When reporter Hayley Garner is kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists in Nigeria, she thinks she's going to die. Instead, she's rescued by a group of Navy SEALS, including Chasen Ward. They're both intrigued by each other, and therefore arrange to run into each other at a military event. Hayley still feels like she's being followed, which most people are ascribing to her PTSD, but Chasen isn't so sure. Which is good, because Hayley isn't wrong -- she is being targeted by someone.

SEAL For Her Protection is a good romance novel. It's well-written, and the characters are well developed with good relationships between them. The plot isn't unique, but the ending is actually surprising.

Interesting premise and cute story. Some aspects were predictable but it was still well written and a fun romance. Great dialogue showed two strong individuals who together are a great couple. The SEALs were entertaining and their personalities seem like this will be a good series full of action, mischief and romance.

This book was gave great detail and really made you feel like you were experiencing what Hayley felt. From being a prisoner of war, and the PTSD that was a result of it, to intimate moments with her Seal, Chasen. Great job of making you really felt like you were there.

Danger, insta-lust that intensifies pretty quickly, interesting case to investigate, but resolution was rushed and incomplete and kind of odd for me. I love the couple together and look forward to reading about others on the Team, but I hope there is a bit more exposition of some of the other dangling threads.

I am currently doing a re-read of all my favorite series, I am reviewing those I haven't so you guys can find them too.

Hailey has survived being kidnapped by terrorists thanks to a Navy Seal mission. Things happened so fast she never got to thank the Seal who carried her out of that hell.

Chasen hasn't been able to forget about the journalist he rescued a few weeks back. Now he has the opportunity to see her again and he isn't going to waste a single moment.

Relationships are hard for Seals and Chasen isn't sure if Hailey would be interested in someone that would have to leave her at a moments notice. He hopes however that being a journalist who travels for stories she may be more tolerant than most.

I loved the interaction between Hailey and his team, their girlfriends, and Kurt's wife Melissa who is 'Mama Bear' to all of them.

Followed by hackers, crooked politicians and that eerie feeling of being watched makes for a hold your breath exciting read. On top of all that the fast developing inferno like relationship between Chasen and Hailey, practically melted my kindle.

Hayley is the dumbest reporter I've ever heard of. She literally goes LOOKING for trouble. I don't mean she ends up in dangerous situations because of assignments. I mean she is TSTL. How did she get kidnapped by terrorists? Because she snuck out of the camp where there were army guards to protect the foreign journalists, and drove into the war zone on her own! "The Nigerian Army had provided a detail to watch over us, but I chafed at the rules they put in place to keep us safe." So smart. NOT.

Back home, she hears a rumour about some high-flying politician doing something dirty and she gets right up in his face and asked if he really did it! What, does she expect he'll admit it? Is she really that stupid? "I wanted to provoke some kind of reaction." Yes, a reaction like him putting her on a hit list to get her out of his hair! Stupid woman!

And she keeps insisting she doesn't have PTSD and won't see a therapist despite having frequent flashbacks and panic attacks. She's one of the worst heroines I've ever seen in a romance novel. Maybe the author was trying to make her look strong, but she just ended up looking wilfully stubborn and a total idiot.

Chasen is bland and blah. He has no real personality in this book. His "romance" with Hayley moves from zero to sixty. First of all... She recognises him merely by his blue eyes. I might have been able to swallow this bit of implausibility, but then she wants to jump in bed with him on the first date and they actually do so on the second date and after that, all of a sudden they're both in love. I know this is a novella (14 chapters) but it's ridiculous!

There's a huge loophole at the end of the story, where we don't know why the cops would have arrived and gone after the politician instead of going after the ones threatening the politician. I was confused, and it is not explained. I thought for sure they came to help him! How did they get the idea that he was the bad guy? There wasn't any evidence! Why would they have confiscated or inspected his gun? No reason given.

Totally frustrating story. I don't know if I want to read any of Paige Tyler's longer novels after this. I might end up throwing my Kindle against the wall.

I was gifted this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Seal for Her Protection is the first book in Paige Tyler’s SEALs of Coronado series! Although it was a short story it packed a punch! It was fast paced with lots of plot twists and turns that kept you guessing and on your toes from beginning to end!

This story follows Hayley Garner, an Investigative Reporter who is in Africa reporting on a terrorist group who in the end wind up kidnapping her. We are then introduced to Chasen Ward a hunky Navy Seal and his team who are entrusted to rescue Hayley and all the other women being held captive.

By happenstance, they meet up again about a month later when Hayley is in San Diego covering a story on construction for a new Seal Camp. Upon recognizing her in the crowd Chasen is instantly drawn to her. He felt the same connection when he rescued her and decides on the spot to ask her out to dinner! They seem to be a perfect match and start dating!

Hayley is working on a new story which seems to be leading her down a very dangerous and treacherous road! She cannot shake the feeling of being watched! Will Chasen be able to keep Hayley safe? What will Hayley uncover? Will their new relationship survive their constant separations due to their job? One Click now to find out!!!

I fell in love with Paige Tyler’s SWAT and X-OP Series Alpha males! I know I will LOVE reading about the SEALs from her SEALs of Coronado series too!! I love her creative way of writing and how she made me feel like I was part of the story! I highly recommend this book if you love to read romances with action! I can’t wait to read about Logan and Felicia’s story in Strong Silent SEAL that comes out in June!

Review: SEAL for Her Protection (SEALs of Coronado #1) Paige Tyler
Investigative journalist, Hayley Garner finds herself falling for the sexy Navy SEAL who rescued her from terrorists and its good thing he’s around to protect her because she’s had the feeling someone’s been watching her in this exciting romance.

The attraction that Navy SEAL Chase Ward feels for Hayley is immediate and intense and the readers can’t help but feel the heat as Chase and Hayley not only burn up the sheets but Chase does his best to keep Hayley safe even if she does seem to find trouble everywhere. The Characters are strong and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning as the intriguing events arouse curiosity and holds readers captive throughout this well written, fast paced and smooth flowing plot full of suspense, excitement and romance.

The story may be short, but this is one red hot read with a sexy SEAL and sizzling romance that kept me glued to the pages and I am eagerly awaiting the next SEALs of Coronado book.

Reviewed at Haunted Bookshelf

Haley usually was strong, stubborn and did things her way – even when her way was the dangerous path. This time it backfired on her and she’s found herself a prisoner of terrorists who will most likely kill her in the next 24 hours – after they’re done with the acts that she can easily imagine before death is a blessing. She knows she should try to escape but with an injured ankle that won’t hold her weight,it’s pretty much useless. She will face her fate but not without the shadow of true terror at her shoulder. Until the door to her makeshift cell was broken down and the most beautiful voice in the world spoke her name.

As a SEAL, Chasen is used to stepping into danger in order to rescue those who have faced the worst that mankind can offer. This woman hits him very differently. Obviously terrified, she still is trying to be brave in the face of the unknown. If he could, he would have boarded the helicopter with her in order to keep her from ever facing danger again. But his duty was here, in this hellhole where more people needed his attention and the mission had to be completed. But, if fate were kind, he’d track this angel down again… and see where the future took them.

SEAL For Her Protection is Paige Tyler’s first story in her new SEALs of Coronado series. And I have to say that this story grabbed me from the opening scenes and didn’t let go or ease up on the emotions. The world building in this story is easily taken as part of the ongoing story, I didn’t feel an information dump in sight – which I’m always grateful for. The romance between Haley and Chasen is at times tense, definitely smokin’ hot and lets us in on the realistic life of a Navy SEAL through the characters. It takes a special type of personality to be the life partner of a SEAL. When parts of a loved one’s life will always be secret, when they cannot come home and talk about their day at work and when danger rears it’s ugly head every time they leave at the drop of a hat on a mission… it can take a toll on any relationship. So, yes, it does indeed take a special, secure and loving type of person to willingly walk into that type of relationship. I found Haley’s introduction to Chasen’s world to be intriguing, entertaining and even educational. So many things I never thought of were right there reminding me of what a unique person a SEAL truly is.

The suspense is an underlying secondary character all of it’s own. As Haley continues her investigating, danger will follow her footsteps. She’s also dealing, and not well, with PTSD from her kidnapping – even though she’d deny it to anyone who asks, it’s still obvious to those that love her. She never feels safe alone, even in her empty apartment she always feels eyes on her. The only time she truly feels she’s functionally as normal is when she’s with Chasen or on the job with her best friend Brad.

There is a plot twist that it took awhile for me to suspect it was coming, yet when it did arrive I’d never suspected the severity of the attack. So, I could frankly say I didn’t see it coming. And it adds so much to the story.

I completely enjoyed my time in this world. Haley and Chasen were a believable, entertaining and charming couple. The secondary characters made the journey more enjoyable, and I’m sure that many will have their own stories told soon. SEAL For Her Protection was an intense, gripping Romantic Suspense that I’d highly recommend to any reader. It will grab your attention and keep your heart racing… for many different reasons.

Hayley Garner is a newspaper reporter in San Diego and she never stops following a story. If that means risks to her safety, she's more than willing to do it. That's how she found herself kidnapped by Boko Haram, and being held in a terrorist camp in Nigeria. Three days of terror pass, wondering if she will be beheaded or worse, before she hears the unmistakable sounds of battle just outside the door of her cell. She is even more scared because she doesn't know what this means. Is it help? Is it a sign that Boko Haram is killing hostages in preparation for leaving?

Chasen Ward is a SEAL tasked with rescuing Hayley. He and his team are boots on the ground, searching for her, taking no prisoners. They know the risks of engagement with the enemy but this is their job and they do it damn well. When he finds her and assures her that she is now safe and under the protection of the SEALs, she is hustled onto an aircraft and whisked away from danger. Meanwhile, he goes back to the fight.

They were both instantly attracted but what are the chances that they'll ever see each other again? What lengths will they go to trying to make that happen?

I like military themed books. I mean, come on! Hot men, dangerous missions, and a damsel in distress. I've been groomed for this since Saturday morning cartoons!! The premise is a good hook and feels authentic because of what we have witnessed with real life kidnappings in overseas postings. From there, it flowed easily enough to keep my interest. Bringing in the political aspect with hacktivists is particularly current and made the book feel much more modern.

I wish it had been hotter. The author spent more time telling me how to perform a blow job than she did telling me how he liked it, how she liked it, or the other salacious details I've come to expect. The sex acts themselves were not written, only alluded to after the fact. It's very definitely not panty melting.

Hayley has some PTSD symptoms and feels like she is being watched throughout the book. It's an added layer to a good story. Not necessarily needed but it also didn't detract from the main storyline. I knew all along who her watcher was. It wasn't a slight bit shocking. I didn't however read this book for the mystery so I wasn't bothered by it.

I caught a few instances of missed punctuation but nothing too drastic. Otherwise, the technical aspects were well covered. There no issues with continuity or name changes.

Engaging and gripping

SEAL For Her Protection is the first book in the SEALs of Coronado series. The fast-paced narrative keeps readers engaged with its action-packed suspense and themes of love and intrigue intertwined. The interplay of love and danger is developed perfectly. SEAL For Her Protection is a page-turner—suspenseful, engaging, unpredictable, and sexy.

Hayley Garner, an investigative journalist, is kidnapped by terrorists whom she believes intend to kill her. Just in time, Navy SEAL Chasen Ward rescues her but vanishes before she can express her gratitude. Weeks later, while reporting at a Navy base, she meets Chasen again and feels an instant attraction to him. As their passionate romance develops, Hayley becomes increasingly aware of a feeling of being watched since her return home. She questions whether this is due to post-traumatic stress or if there is a real threat. Thankfully, Chasen is there to protect her once again. I loved the connection between the characters but felt there should be more development between Hayley and Chasen. The blend of humor, tension, danger, and romance creates a riveting read. The chemistry between Hayley and Chasen is intense, and their connection is instant. As they work together, they struggle to resist their attraction and maintain professionalism, since Chasen has avoided relationships in the past due to the nature of his job. However, Hayley is different and makes him want more with her. Their transformation and growth throughout the book is heartwarming as well as how much they were protective of each other.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "SEALED FOR HER PROTECTION" great Interesting, intriguing, angst, steam, suspense filled romance, danger, action, twists that keeps you turning the pages.
Chasen is a hot, tough Seal a born leader but Hayley twists him into knots his job doesn't leave much time for relationships but there's something about her that he's drawn to.
Hayley's being in Africa reporting on a certain terrorist group getting to close she ends up being kidnapped luckily she gets rescued before anything bad could happen to her if not for Chasen & his team of Seals she might not have been saved to see another day.
Hayley's doing an assignment months later on a construction of a new Seal Team campus this is where she runs into Chasen again, he asks her out to dinner he felt they had a connection during her rescue.
I definitely recommend to get this interesting journey Hayley & Chasen take you on she's excited to go to dinner but she's feeling like she's being watched by someone, they begin to build a relationship their chemistry is scorching hot, can they get a HEA, can Chasen keep her safe from harm, it's a must read to see how things turn out. I'm so looking forward to the next book in this amazing series.

It was ok. A bit predictable and the danger was over way too quickly!

I really wanted to love this book but it just felt a bit blah! There was no build up to the danger and it was over really quickly. Pretty much the story of the whole book! She was kidnapped twice and rescued twice by him.

Haley is a journalist that while writing a story is kidnapped and kept in a cell before her death. Chasen is a navy seal that is part of the team that rescues her. It was just over so quickly. Even when she was at home and suffering ptsd it was barely mentioned. Then she gets kidnapped again! (Most unlucky person ever!!!) And he rescues her again. I really wanted the danger to be drawn out more, the characters felt a bit wooden. Like a badly acted movie.

I received the first book free as part of a promotion . I don’t want to pay £2.85 for the next one. I’d rather pay £3.99 for the next Makenna Jamison Seals of Coronado. The sex scenes are better and the danger they face is a lot better.
Sorry, I really wanted this book to be a lot better. Oh and there are some spelling mistakes.

Honestly most of this was ridiculous, with a supposed investigative journalist just doing stupid shit and getting herself into stife repeatedly. We start off with her kidnapped by some Nigerian terrorists, and subsequently rescued by a Seal team. A couple weeks later Hayley's covering some Naval press shindig when she runs into her rescuer. Chasen Ward. I liked him, though didn't understand his attraction to her...

Hayley is now investigating some local hacker group who are trying to accuse a politician of shady deals with more shady construction companies... mmkay. There's also even some gun for hire side story and accusations of a covered up murder.

Just before 80% you'll see this shit show heading south faster than the whales pass the Australian coast for Summer feeding in Antarctica. WTF.. her camera man? Really? No, just stupid.

Don't expect any kind of resolve, not sure if it flows over into the next book - I won't be reading more, so.
