Trevor's Harem #3

Burning Choice

Rate this book
I’ve been in this billionaire’s game for a month — but something changed when half my competition was eliminated.

It feels less like a contest now … and more like an experiment.

I shouldn’t have made it past the first round. I don’t know how I did; I’m not special like the others. When I ask Daniel, he just tells me it’s complicated. Then he talks about brain chemistry, how love and sex are an addiction. He tells me how wild animals claim mates, and how he’s claimed me.

The stakes are higher.

The competition is fiercer.

I should have been kicked out long ago, but Daniel tells me I might be the needle in the haystack the company has been looking for.

Sometimes I’m afraid of them all, even of Daniel.

But It’s like I’m on a tether. I couldn’t leave if I wanted to.

I love to write stories with characters that feel real enough to friend on Facebook, or slap across the face. I write to make you feel, think, and burn with the thrill that can only come from getting lost in the pages. I love to write unforgettable characters who wrestle with life's largest problems. My books may always end with a Happily Ever After, but there will always be drama on the way there.

Well a big fuck you, to you! That ending! Going into Burning Choice I was sort of expecting that things would get a bit more complicated, with the full resolution to be laid out in the final installment and although I was correct, I didn’t expect it to get this damn complicated. I loved that we finally get the pieces to fill in the puzzle of Daniel and Bridget’s connection but we are still no closer to discovering the end game of this experience.

I thought I had figured out who the players were – who could be trusted and by the time I finished this one, Aubrey Parker had me doubting everything I thought I knew!

Whatever in the hell Daniel is up to with this group remains a mystery. It’s complex that is for sure. I sort of felt a tad bit disconnected from the story in parts. I think it’s a difficult thing to balance, on one hand you have an edgy romance and on the other you have it in the midst of a very technical situation. So when Daniel begins to delve deeper into the technical aspects I sort of lost the romance-y feel of the story. But it’s difficult because it all has to be explained and they sure created a story that was filled with so many moving parts that you really need these details.

I really have zero clue as to what is going to happen next, but I am pulling for Bridget to get a damn happily ever after. She fucking deserves it.

Getting a bit annoying now.

Despite my dislike of Bridget I've continued on with this series because it felt like it was leading somewhere and it still does so I'll read the next and final book 'Burning Ultimatum' but I found this book hard going mainly because Bridget is annoying the hell out of me.
Although she eventually realises she's not the smartest person:
"I’m the stupidest person here —apparently by far."
I won't argue with her on that but what really got me was her complete lack of curiosity, things would be said in front of her or to her and she'd let it pass, this has happened the whole way through this series but it was worse in this book, things relating to Daniel and she never questioned it, I found myself shaking my head in disbelief.
At times everyone is careful what they say because the rooms are recording but then they have huge event changing discussions as if they're alone.
None of it made sense and while I found the other books intriguing I'm starting to find this annoying and yes still a little bit intriguing.
Bridget is obviously delusional when she says
“I’m not an idiot, even if I seem like it compared to my fellow competitors...."
Or maybe that's just her superpower.

In the review I gave for book 2, Burning Rivalry, I said "It's like The Bachelor on crack!" Let me add to that, this is The Bachelor and Big Brother shooting a porno in the laboratory with Bill Nye the Science Guy and Dr. Ruth! I have never had a book take me in so many different directions, with so many different possibilities. This time the stakes are even higher as more eliminations are made, Bridget realizes she can trust no one. Every move she makes is being watched and calculated. Every bit of information she gleans sends her in the wrong direction. Is Daniel on her side? Or is he the devil that just wants to use her? Is Trevor as decent as he seems? And what will happen now that Caspian White has joined the mix? And Kylie, will she finally hammer the last nail in Bridget's coffin? Read and see!

Wow, is all I can say. This is hands down the most tripindickular (wink) book I have ever read! My mind is reeling! I can't wait to dive into Burning Ultimatum!

What are you doing to us Aubrey???Please, have some mercy!!! This book was such a page turner that it constantly kept me on my toes. I am telling you, it gets better and better. I was so happy to finally find out which is the connection between Bridget and Daniel's past, only to be left with more and more questions. Why did Bridget pass all the eliminations tests? What is the purpose of the whole "experiment"? What has Bridget that is so unique?? And the cliffhanger???!!! I thought that I will literally die. I totally refused to accept that there was no page to turn and this is all we've got in this one. Oh my, I really hope that there is a misunderstanding and things are not like they look like.
The asset to this book is Caspian, even if he is introduced just briefly. I like him and I don't know why yet. He's clearly there to mess things up and build more tension but I like him.:))) I am looking forward to the 4th and last book of the series. I am eager to get my answers and get to know Caspian more but I think it will be difficult to let go of the series, it's the kind who really draws you in completely. Enjoy!!

I can honestly say that I am sad that there is only one more book after this one. Why? I felt an immediate connection with Brigit and Daniel. Their passion was tangible. I loved every single moment up to this book.

Read from book 1 in Trevor's Harem and maybe even the Inferno Falls series because you will fall in love with Aubrey Parker's characters. I'll admit, I even had a hard time getting into the first book of the Inferno Falls series but it started to get better and better as a series. By far, Brigit is my favorite because not only is she compassionate with other people but she is absolutely and tragically heartbreaking. Your heart will break for her in this book.

My question is, if you were in Brigit's shoes, what would you do? I would definitely smack Daniel as a personal account but secrets are revealed in this book that will make your heart beat faster. Confessions. Secrets. Everything. There is absolutely everything in this book that I loved. It is not the cliche romance but at the same time it is. It had the hot and steamy sexual content that we secretly crave.

More people are eliminated and for the wrong reasons. What will happen in book 4? Stay tuned with me.

I was gifted this book from the author in return for an honest review.

Im absolutley thrilled, i wanted more excitenent and damn i got it!
What a killer suspence read, i held my breath through most parts...
TEN STAR BUTTON NEEDED!!!

The twist and turns in this book kept my mind on constant alert, i didnt want to miss a thing, and page by page it just got even better.

It's all happening in this book, more deceit, more lust, more secrets, and my god the sex scenes....jesus! I wasnt half turned on by Daniels scenes.....so exciting

While others feel that Bridget should be out of the contest, and the powers that be agreeing, Daniel has a tough job trying to convince them all that she should be there.
Also Bridget is struggaling to take in all the new revelations...and with Daniels secrets aswell, will this push them further apart.
We have challanges in this part of the contest.....will Bridget take part, can she really do what they ask.
its a hell of a story filled with lust, love and decreit...it has to be read.

Parker has gone above my expectations and im really looking forwad to seeing what else she will bring to the Burning Series.

This story gets more and more exciting. I'm glad to finally learn how Daniel & Bridget finally know each other. I'm trying to figure out who is on who's side and the end I just can't believe what I read. I can't wait to read what happens next in the conclusion and to see what exactly is the end game and hoping Daniel isn't the ass that you are suppose to believe he is

I found this one a little less interesting then the first two as it took me a bit longer to read it. But it was still good. I can’t wait to see what happens in the end.
I had a suspicion about Daniel and Jess but was hoping it wasn’t true, still am. I also really want to know what’s going on and want Daniel and Bridget to end up together. But I also hav a feeling that’s Jenny and her mom are going to run off with all of Bridget’s money and she’s never going to hear from them again.

It just keeps going

This series gets better with every book. Everyday Bridget falls farther down the rabbit hole. It's not all about sex. And yet the mystery, the intrigue, the conviction and betrayal make this story that much more erotic. You want to get to the end but yet you don't.

Choice

Confusion reigns in the third installment of Trevor's Harem Series. More secrets plans are hatched. You can't be sure of who you can trust. Nothing is as it seems.

So I'm now three books into this series and even though I know a lot more than what I did when I started reading book one, I still don't understand what is going on or what it is I'm reading.

Here's what I know:
1 - Three more girls have been eliminated and somehow, despite not playing the game, Bridget is still in the running.
2 - We know that Daniel wanted Bridget in the contest to punish and humiliate her for something she did as a child. Pathetic much?
3 - We know that Halo is the program that runs the house and that it decides who stays and who goes.
4 - Everybody involved in the contest knows that Bridget and Daniel are sleeping together and yet they're not removed.

Here's what I don't know:
1 - Who Caspian White is and why he's so interested in the contest and Halo, or why everyone fears him and bends over backwards for him.
2 - I don't know what it is Halo and the board are looking for. They're looking for something/someone special that will make them a lot of money, but how these games will help them find it, I don't know.
3 - I don't know how the villain, Kylie, is getting access to computers to hack classified information about Bridget and what is going on in the house.

BURNING CHOICE is told in dual POVs, but again is mostly told in Bridget’s POV. It’s the third book in a four part serial, so it cannot be read as a stand-alone. Since I still can't make sense of anything, I'm hoping it'll all become clear in the fourth and final book. I have to admit, I'm getting more frustrated and less intrigued with each book. I wonder if I should give up, but I feel like I've invested too much time in this to give up now. So, onto the fourth book I go.

A Review of Burning Choice by Aubrey Parker

Finally, we get some answers - 5 stars

Well, Bridget has made it further in the contest than anyone thought she would, even Daniel. With the group of contestants being cut in half now, the contests are starting. Bridget doesn't have any of the specialities the other girls have, so why does she keep bypassing the others? When she confronts Daniel with her questions, he just keeps brushing her off, telling her that things are complicated - talking about brain chemistry, saying love and sex are an addiction. He also tells her "...how wild animals claim mates, and how he’s claimed (her)."

This book ends on one hell of a cliffhanger, so of course I will have to get the next book to find out what really happens. Does Bridget make it into the top three or beyond? Will she end up with what she really wants when things come to a head? This has really been one long roller coaster of a ride, but the end is in sight.

This book is my least favorite in this series so far. Daniel is in trouble, but he will still do anything he can to protect Bridget. Bridget is wondering what will happen next (just like I did). She likes to stay for the money and Daniel. Daniel and Bridget like each other a lot and want to be together. There were a few very hot scenes, but I didn’t feel the love like in the previous book. This book was more about the contest. I know a little bit more about the contest, but still not everything. I do finally know what their past is and it wasn’t totally what I expected. After reading 3 parts, I thought I knew who to trust and who to hate, but at the end of this part I don’t know that anymore. I can’t wait to read the last part of this series. I really hope Bridget gets her happily after ever, because she deserves it. Bridget is an amazing, strong woman and she would do anything for her family.

Not quite sure what to say about this book (these books) yet. The mystery still stands and apparently you don't find out until the end. In the meantime I have to say that although some of the content is not my cup of tea, the writing is excellent. It's not easy to find a well written romance series (that I haven't read) with good writing any more. There has to be more to a story than body parts colliding. That gets old and boring quickly. Throw in some mystery, depth, a new story line from left field and i'm captured.

Lastly, I can't believe how quickly I'm blowing through these books (no pun intended). They are definitely 'on the edge of your seat'.

Even though I'm enjoying the storyline, I'm very frustrated with Bridget. It's almost as though she is getting more stupid as the books go on. Her common sense is fading, also. I hate that the author gives all the other girls "superpowers", but then makes the main h dumb as a rock. And, then, it makes me irritated, when I get what's happening, but I've gotta read the dialogue where the characters have to "dumb it down" to explain it to her. And, all of Daniel's chapters are about the competition, and what I'd really like to read, in his POV, would be how he felt about a situation that happened between him & Bridget. I'm hoping for big things, and golden answers in book 4!

This story is so freaking addictive, and now that the mask if off, I'm dying to find out what's going to happend next. With only 3 contestants left, the new male arrival, and Daniel's attitude being so sneaky, I really don't know what to expect. Of one thing I'm certain, I wouldn't want someone like Daniel permanently in my life.

Can't wait to for the outcome of this suspenseful, and addictive series.

Ohhh Aubrey Parker (shaking my fist) I thought I was going to get a resolution, but you just sucked me in further, but in the best possible way. I can't even figure out what is going to happen next. Daniel is starting to make me hate him. Bridget might just be another pawn in his game, but she might not be either.....I can't wait to find out the conclusion......ohhh and just FYI the hot sexy steamy scenes are sending me over the edge.....lol. This series is a must read!!!!!!!!!

Holy wow

It's getting hot! Man this tangled web that's been woven is getting more and more intriguing. Who do we believe? Kylie is still the conniving one and gets stranger by the minute, Jess is getting used and Bridget is lost. Thinks have definitely made a drastic turn, but at least now we know who Daniel really is to Bridget and why he wanted revenge...but it's backfired and now he's paying the price. Can't wait to see how things work out for these guys.

I can't read this series fast enough...

My mind is so messed up...so confused. Who is really telling the truth? Who is out for who? What's the end game? Damn Daniel...but God I love him. Such amazingly written books with a perfect plot and so may twists it makes your stomach turn. On to the next 5 star in this perfect series.
