Stunning. This is the kind of book that makes me want to keep writing poetry, even in this very deep of my personal ruts. At once delicate and brutal, heartbreaking and redemptive, Eclogues makes me think of everything from the impending destruction of the planet to humanity's indestructible survival instinct. There are very few 'mistakes' in life that can't be explained if you're willing to look at the long term path of your existence, and even fewer that can't be corrected, if you've got the guts.
A very hopeful (and elegantly written book) overall.
