I've had two passions in life: writing and handicapping the ponies.
For the past 30 years, I've focused almost primarily on horse racing while I only dabbled with writing. It's 2021 now, and I've grown tired of the endless buffets, sport books, valet parking, cocktail waitresses, free drinks, and the daily, endless grind of analyzing spreadsheet data. I'll be focusing on writing from this point forward.
I haven't spent a tremendous amount of time using Good Reads, so I suppose I'm still a newbie, even after all these years with an author account. I'll figure it out though.
Aimed for an experienced horse player, this small book provides useful betting strategies that increase your ROI. Picking winners is one thing while making money at the track is another thing. If your goal is to make money at the track reading Zen Handicapping is a good place to start.
Zen Handicapping by Christian Blake provides sage advice and excellent insight for anyone who wants to wager a significant amount of money at the track. Actually, it is essential reading for anyone who plans to place a bet and doesn't want to embarrass themselves! Blake is a legendary expert who tells it like it is. I very much enjoyed reading his book!
