The fifth and final novel in the Silken Edge series.
Who knew going home for lunch one day instead of staying at the office would destroy Stanley Jorgenson? Catching his wife having sex would’ve been easier to wrap his brain around than the scene he never would’ve imagined and couldn’t accept. Unable to deal, he left not only her, but life as he knew it.
Eventually, Stan reinvents himself and starts over with a new business in a small town. He makes new friends who challenge his preconceptions about the world of BDSM and kink and he finds a companion in Crystal, who forces him to face and embrace the demons he wasn’t aware he needed to conquer.
Stan works hard to become a success but somehow he knows there’s always the chance that his past won’t release him. When the time comes for him to make the hardest decision of his life, he has to trust in himself and his friends to make the right choice, even if it risks destroying everything he’s built.
I'm an emotional reader so that's how I rate books that I read:
5 Stars - really, really loved it! Made me real emotional - I laughed, or I cried. 4 Stars - loved it! Made me giggle, or made me sad. 3 Stars - enjoyed it - didn't provoke emotions in me but it was a good/okay read.
I enjoyed this series more than anything else I have read. This last one the best. It tells how Stan's bar started and how he came to embrace a lifestyle he thought he never would. Then he opened up the downstairs to be a club for BDSM play. Hired the staff from the other books. And he found love with Crystal. Warning the last chapter is a tear jerker. I don't think I have ever cured as much as I did over the last chapter. Thank goodness the epilogue helped. I hate to see this series end. Maybe the author could write more. Maybe a story about Blue. Hint hint. Just my opinion.
Silken Courage is a long spanning, heartfelt story.
When Stan walks in on his wife doing something he cannot unsee and breaks his heart, he walks back out on her and their marriage. He ends up opening a bar, making new friends, and broadening his horizons and embracing the last thing he ever thought he'd be involved in.
I've read a couple other books in this series, Silken Desires and Silken Secrets; I disliked Silken Desires but loved Silken Secrets and figured it would be my favorite in the series, but Silken Courage has taken that spot in my heart. Stan and Crystal's journey is so beautiful, so loving, and that ending?! Talk about a tearjerker. Who knew a BDSM story could tear the heart apart like Silken Courage did.

I received an ARC via NetGalley for an honest review.
I was given an eARC copy for an honest review. No money was involved. Stan's marriage ends when he sees his wife in a compromising situation so he leaves her and everything and everyone behind to start a new life. He opens a bar that he has worked very hard to get. He meets Crystal and her friends from Slipnot which he came to like very much. To Crystal and her friends, BDSM is a very important part of their lfe, except for Stan who feels threatened ..The last part of their book had me crying but it ended happily
Wow that was emotional. What a beautiful connection Stan and Crystal had. I wasn't sure about the last book going right back to the very beginning and then through the years but it worked beautifully bringing back all the characters we've become attached to and a few new ones. Loved it, fabulous series, sorry to see it end.
I absolutely loved this book. It is the final book in the series which makes me sad, but it was a fantastic book to end the series on. It takes place over a long time, which some may not like, but it totally works and is done beautifully.
I voluntarily read a advanced reader's copy of this book.
Silken Courage by Laci Paige, book 5 in the Silken Edge series. A another great addition to the series. I've enjoyed this series. With their very spicy content and great storylines. I look forward to reading more by Laci Paige.
This is the fifth, and final book in the Silken Edge series. I've been hooked on this series since the very first one. I highly suggest that you do read these in order.
This is Stan/Master Kyle's story. And what a story it is. This book spans around twenty five years. It is divided into three parts. I know some readers won't like the span of time, but it works for this book and it's needed.
Stan changed so much. And we see those changes happen right before our eyes.
I have loved all the characters in this series. I think Crystal may be my favorite though. I think of her as a Dyson, no loss of suction. You'll understand when you read this.
Her and Stan met at the perfect time, and are perfect for each other. They met each other's needs. It wasn't easy at first. There were struggles and obstacles to overcome for both of them.
By the end, Crystal did an almost 360 change. She finally found herself completely.
I freakin loved this book! I'm so sad that this is the end. Laci writes some awesome BDSM books. They will make you want to try some new things if you get what I mean.
Although this Book 5 and you do learn more about some familiar characters, Silken Courage can easily be enjoyed on its own.
When Stan's marriage crumbles he leaves everything and everyone behind to start a new life and nothing is how he plans. When he meets Crystal and her friends, everything he thought he knew and believed about kink and BDSM is turned upside down. And what a journey it is for everyone! If you enjoy hot, erotic scenes with emotion-- this is a must read.
This is apparently the last book in the series. For me it is the only book of the series that I read. It opens with a back story of how Stanley Jorgensen coming home from the office hoping to have lunch with his wife only to be surprised at the scene that is taking place. She is not having sex with someone else but let’s just say it is something along the lines of BDSM. This throws him into a tail spin and he ends up in a different town divorced and in need of a friend. He makes a friend and then decides to open a bar. From the bar he meets different people one is Crystal. He then decides to open a BDSM club and this club becomes very successful. He also is falling in love with Crystal you just don’t get the total picture until the end. Because of a phone call he decides to sell the bar to Crystal and other friends and leaves. It is when he comes back and then the epilogue that really make this whole book into a story and the author ties up everything not everyone. Yes there is sex, but this book is so much more and the way the Crystal character changes from the first introduction to the last page is wonderful. This is a very good book. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
I really 💘 this series of books. I hope that one day the story will continue. The love scenes are always so 🔥🔥. And the characters are like family now.
Ohhh, this book was VERY near to being a 4 stars, I tell ya! I liked the storyline, and the male MC was very engaging. The female MC however was sold a bit short, but nothing too problematic that it makes you want to leave the book.
I loved the whole emotional development between the couple, and the BDSM scenes were a nice feature to read about (you know me by now 😏).
The ending was.... hmmm, can’t describe it, but something about it left me with no closure 🤨 Anyways, it’s all me, not you! LOL

Laci has out done herself again with this book. Strong characters and a great story line that will keep you entertained while reading this book. I so couldn't put it down once I started reading it either and neither will you. I can't wait to read more of her work either too. I can't wait to read other installments of this series.
This is a really good series and I have enjoyed all the books but I have to admit this one is my favorite. I just love Stan and really enjoyed the story behind his bar and who he became part of the BDSM lifestyle. This is a super read but the end brought me to tears so grab a hanky.A fantastic end to the series
