Whispers, Secrets and Promises

Rate this book
This is the first book I’ve written that decided not to dedicate to anyone. I guess this is my book. The poems are a collection of things I needed to say. Throughout the work, one will discover the themes of despair, depression and desire. This book documents many failed relationships and broken promises. In many ways, this poetry collection closes a personal door in my life. As I move towards becoming fifty, Whispers, Secrets and Promises represents an entrance into what I now call my own Gethsemane.

Miller was the Poet Laureate for DC. I find his poetry moves the air in the room, makes my students listen a more carefully, and offers surprises with every read.
