Kethric Wilcox began writing and publishing as a personal challenge to be creative in a new medium. He was attracted to the LGBT Romance genre after reading several paranormal romances where it seemed like the shape-shifters never faced dangers outside the relationship issues thrown at them by their authors. Thus was born the shifter hunting House of Beauty on the premise of a twisted fairy tale. What if Beauty and the Beast didn't end with happily ever after? Wilcox's Legend of the Silver Hunter trilogy looks at this question and then asks what happens if a member of this family falls in love with a descendant of the Beast, can they find happily ever after or are they doomed to repeat the tale. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Wilcox now lives and works in Little Rock, Arkansas in a house that he and his partner renovated. By day Wilcox is a graphic artist and exhibit designer, and at night an author of paranormal romances.

I was beside myself because of the way Witch: Book Two of The Legend of the Silver Hunter ended; I couldn't wait for Hunter to be released. Oh boy, what a treasure I've found with this story. Simply put, five stars aren't enough!
In this final installment, we begin with Cory, along with the Oisin side of the family, picking up the broken pieces of everything that has gone terribly wrong for Kieran and all that was his world. A prophecy needs to be fulfilled causing considerable casualties in its wake. In order to make things right, Kieran needs to be in optimum shape as the challenges that await him are mountainous. Luckily for Kieran, his family members are chock-filled with their own specialty of magic. Even more so, he and Cory's family, along with Professor Mason, who is also a Mage, all happen to be in town to celebrate the couple's hand-fasting marriage ritual. The two were previously married through the state of Maine; hand-fasting is done for traditional purposes. (I love that the author incorporated Cory's right as Kieran's spouse for making all of his medical decisions.)
Kieran is a force to be reckoned with as he regains his strength and supreme power. He is the Silver Witch. He is the Hunter of the House of Beauty and all those who weren't informed, make no mistake, will learn who holds court. The thing of it is, does he really want all this? At this point, he and Cory are settled into married life (well, as settled as one can be when you're needed to bring down the most formidable Ebony Mage in existence.) In true leadership form, Kieran takes care of business; everything Kieran does is with precision, a clear mind, and the best of intentions for himself and his family.
This book is filled to the brim ~ each page bursting at the seams with an abundance of battles with shifters, magical spells, mystical rituals, ahem, one of them including some hot man/man love, all spun and woven into an adult version of Beauty and the Beast meets Harry Potter. It also has its reflective and sorrowful moments when loved ones lost are fondly remembered. There were some stunning twists and turns as well.
Because this is the final installment of this brilliant series, Hunter has all of its loose ends tied up nicely ~ The epilogue is heartwarming where everyone and everything is just as it should be. Positively an outstanding and amazing job by Author Kethric Wilcox. His uber-creative imagination, intelligent storytelling, along with the most adoring characters, made this series an absolute joy to read. I highly recommend this series ~ you will not be disappointed.

The conclusion to this trilogy is fast-paced and bittersweet. The book starts right up after Kieran's been taken out by werewolves. Cory is beside himself. The "master" dark one is still hot on Kieran's tail. Well, he wants in on Kieran's tail once he can get Kieran in bondage. Kinky!

This story is hard to categorize because it is paranormal and a fairy-tale retold. Yet it has dark elements of BDSM in the non-con way. Sadly, kink is portrayed negatively in this book. Still, I liked it because it would have been interesting to see Kieran and Cory as sex slave boy toys. Yes, I'm that jaded. I digress.

Cory and Kieran work through quite a bit to figure out how to take down the werewolves, specifically the Alpha. What they learn about the past and the skeletons in Beauty's line is a bit horrific to them. It isn't surprising because it is a deal with the devil. The way Beauty and the women of her line are portrayed in this story continues to show cowardice and evil. As if any woman with a power will turn out to be a femi-nazi delighting in castrating males and stepping on other females to get to the top. This different perspective kind of reminds me of Gregory Maguire and his book, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.

The erotic sex between Cory and Kieran is decent. It's a m/m love fest for the couple in their honeymoon phase. Their sex is a bit too tame for me, but that's because of the dark non-con hinted in the story. Compared to the kinky stuff the dark side does, the vanilla sex is a bit meh. Still, the two are sweet together.

Why did I say this story is bittersweet? Because of the end, how Kieran is able to save them and still make it work. There is a little bit of plot twist that caught me off guard and saddened me a smidgen. It was nicely done and with an epilogue, it is all fixed up, but still, it was a sacrifice that was both a bit mature of Kieran and high-handed. He really is his father's son, making decisions for others without their consent, because he thinks he knows better. This paranormal romance is recommended to m/m readers who enjoyed the first two books and good triumphing over evil.

Excellent series.

Really hope there is eventually follow-up series with the next generation. Namely Cory and Kierans twin children and Billy and Ian.

This is a very complicated story about magic and romance. It's mostly a fantasy action novel about family battles and defeating the beast. It's based off of beauty and the beast (I think) but it is nothing like the original and is about as unique as a story can get! I loved the use of bright imagery and all of the different types of magic used in this novel. I'm a novice to that kind of thing so at first I was a little overwhelmed but as the story developed I grew into a HUGE fantasy nerd. This story is as exciting as it is heart wrenching. You never know what's going to happen/who's going to get hurt/or even if the protagonists are going to win! If you're looking for a story that will keep you on your toes, the hunter is going to do just that. Very fast paced story set in a wonderful world of magic.

Great end to the trilogy

In this the final installment of the Hunter series, the Belle family saga comes to an end. Kieran and Cory must face the legendary Beast as well as the Ebony mage. As usual there is plenty of drama and angst as Kieran tries to hold both families together. The plot as before in the previous book is slow going but the twist at the end is worth waiting for.
