Book #3 in the Allie Krycek vigilante series. __________________________________________ IF SHE'S LOOKING FOR YOU, YOU'RE ALREADY IN TROUBLE. Every year, tens of thousands of young girls go missing around the world. Some go voluntarily, but others are taken against their will and forced into a life worse than death. When a teenager vanishes and the authorities have given up, her mother asks Allie Krycek for help. For Allie, it’s not just another bad guy to take down. This one hits too close to home. Maybe a little too close. Years ago, Allie’s own little sister vanished, and she couldn’t do anything to stop it. This time, things are different. This time, things will be different. The only things stopping Allie are two seasoned professionals, a hidden criminal organization, and a whole lot of empty miles, with danger around every turn. All she has to do is get to the end of the line…alive.
The book I read before this left me dissatisfied and feeling like I'd never find a good book. I liked the name and the reviews so I gave this book a chance and I'm beyond thrilled. There was excitement and thrills while I rooted for the good guys and hoped the star was going to be ok. Yes, I got very involved with the characters and the story. I'm definitely going to read more of this series and this wonderful authors books. Take my advice and do the same. Great chance to "get away. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! :)
Absolutely amazing! Allie Krycek kicks ass once again. I love this series. Read this in one sitting. Sam Sisavath is one amazing story-teller. Come on book 4.
Everything I wrote in my reviews for books 1 and 2 applies to this one.
Tale about a woman who is single-handedly attempting to foil the abduction of young women into the slave trade. This is book 3 and I didn't read the other two. She is a kick butt character akin to wonder woman. Since the author is a man, there's plenty of violence for the blood thirsty out there. A pitiful pic of the inability of the security industry to do anything to change the situation even in America. Good story that had me on the edge of my seat throughout. Interesting characters, with the author managing to make you even grow to somewhat find the bad guys appealing while still rooting for the good guys. Picture 007 and Danny Devito as the bad guys. A bit of fun amidst the hail of gunfire. Will continue to read the others .
'Finders/Keepers' is a great addition to a kick-ass series. Fast paced, full of action and non-stop thrills. The storyline was well written and it played out superbly. This book in 'An Allie Krycek Thriller Series' was just as good, if not better, than the first two oops. Allie got her butt handed to her in this one. Yet she still pulled through, despite her own physical pain, and kept kicking butt. Lucy is a great girl. She had been through a lot, yet she knows she can trust Allie and do what's right. Dwight and Reese were quite the duo. Even for bad guys, I kinda rooted for them. I can't wait to read more. A great add to your tbr list. Recommended read.
"Finders/Keepers: An Allie Krycek Thriller" (2016) by Sam Sisavath is the third of three Allie Krycek novels. Allie goes undercover to find a teenage girl abducted and groomed for human sex trafficking. Allie joins a gang of ruthless men who are only interested in delivering their cargo of kidnapped girls and getting paid. I liked the first novel. The second was passable. I couldn’t get into this one. The incessant banter between the two male villains was annoying, not amusing. Not recommended.
This is my first Allie Krycek book and I plan to hunt down the first two. Allie is a strong bad-ass woman but she's very likeable. This is a believable story of Human trafficking. The story is told, thankfully, without a bunch of horrible sex and suffering. There were a few moments where I got a little lost... it seemed that the story skipped and suddenly we were somewhere else but I think it was fairly well-written and concise.
I enjoyed this fast-paced adventure thriller which has a strong female lead character, Allie. It concerns me that the 16-year-old Lucy has dropped out of school and isn't getting an education. I was disappointed that there wasn't more involvement by Hank towards the end of the book, although the dog, Apollo, did play an important role. I see this is the last in the series; however, the end of the book sounded like there was more to come. I hope the author will write a 4th book about Allie.
I really enjoyed the first two books, but this one ended in a very NOT satisfying way. It also seemed very off theme from the other two. I gave it three stars just because it kept me captured enough to read it, but I don't plan to read the 4th at all since it seems like it won't address the cliffhanger at all.
I enjoyed the pace of this book until the last 1/4 after Allie got hit by the car. Then the healing took place faster than reality. Great story, good tempo, good character development. I look forward to more of Allies adventures.
This was the first time I read from this author and I was pleasantly surprised. It didn’t take long to fall in love with Allie! I am definitely going to read the rest of the series. If you’re looking for a good book this one will not disappoint!
Great book yet again. My only disappointment was that I felt like it took so long for something to happen. Very unlike the other books. Even so, great story, great author. I look forward to the next one.
Enjoyed the tale. Hard not to to root for Allie. The plot was generic at best but still interesting enough i couldn't put it read it all the way through. Looking to see if the next book is comparable.
This is a nice well conceived storyline while maintaining the character development of Allie and adding new people, Reese into an expanding plot. Looking forward to reading book 4.
Didn't know how I was going to feel about this one...
But it kept me guessing at every turn again! Excited for the next installment in this series! Definitely recommend this series if you haven't started it already
Third book in the Allie Krycek series. I loved the first book, the second was ok, but now with the third it's getting better again. I liked that again Allie is on a mission, she has a goal and is going in knowing exactly what she needs to do. She takes crap from no one, and stop for nothing to reach her goal, even if she has to take a few detours. She uses a little bit of luck to get out of some situations, but is mostly thanks to her abilities that she keeps getting ahead of the bad guys.
I liked this book better than the second because I feel like Allie is back in her element, doing things her way and being in control, or as much control as she can. My main problem with the book is that it doesn't feel finished, there's a few things that were unfinished and that hints at another book. I get that she gets a new mission, that happened in the second one too, but now it was more obvious and with more characters involved. That's the only reason I didn't give it five stars, the feeling that something wasn't finished.
This latest in the Allie Krycek series is in some ways better than the first two and in some important ways worse. First the good. We get a better feel for all the characters. Unlike the previous books the lesser characters are not completely under developed. The author gives some good and different points of view and a little character development. Now the bad. There is a total lack of resolution or even any sense of a future for one character. Hank seems in the end not not only serve no function, but simply disappears from the scene without even a murmur. And the incident with Reese at the end is not only unexplained but unmentioned from Allies point of view. The bad of this book is the ending is rushed, flat and underwhelming. Hank, and Lucy, in the end serve no real purpose. Although we get a little attitude and character from Lucy, in the end why is she around? She does a few things in the middle, but then just drifts off, ignored with no real purpose. And Hank is just dropped. His whole story line just disappears. I will still definitely read the next one, but I hope Sisivath doesn't rush and takes the time and effort to make sense of, and develop the characters further while sticking with the pacing that makes these fun reads.
Allie is at it again in the 3rd of this series. Of course, Apollo and Lucy are there too.
Allie is looking for Faith who has been kidnapped and taken into a sex trafficking ring. Allie joins the "bad guys" and convinces them she is taking Juliet's place in taking care of the kidnapped girls. But she has to prove herself that she is willing to rob and kill to be part of the criminal team that takes the girls. She is at a restaurant that they are robbing and she has to shoot an ex-cop, but she doesn't shoot to kill and leaves a note with him with a phone number. The ex-cop, Hank, follows the clue and finds Lucy and Apollo and finds out that Allie is looking for Faith.
With Hank's connections with the state police, can he find Allie and Faith. Allie is in a world of trouble and when the police get on their trail, Allie is hit by a car. Seems like Allie is always getting into trouble, but this girl can handle it.
Apollo is still by her side and her protector. Will she find Faith and bust the trafficking ring? Will she survive her latest quest to help these girls that are taken. Can't wait for the next one in this series, as the action never stops!
That's a question Allie gets asked often, but we know she's a no nonsense, bad pass. This time Allie, with the able help of Apollo and Lucy, and a couple strays she picks up on the way, is trying to find a young girl kidnapped into a human smuggling ring specializing in sexual slavery. The non-stop action flies with the speed of a bullet, as Allie tears the organization apart.
This third saga of Allie Krycek packs as much punch as the first two tales, and you will often ask yourself, "Who the hell is this lady?" Good dialogue and steady action bring the story and characters to life. I simply couldn't put this down until I had drained the blood from every page. I guarantee you'll love this and all the Allie Krycek novels.
So annoying. Like reading a chapter from a book. No end. And in addition it feels like there are chunks missing, like Sam Sisavath got really bored and just jumped towards sort of an ending. I guess these books should be read as one. Maybe then all would make sense. Maybe in the next book we will meet characters again, important ones (in my eyes), that just vanished when their purpose(?) was fulfilled? Hope so, I guess I just have to wait and see. I am quite certain I will read more about Allie. She is fascinating, Sisavath writes really well. Just too short and too rushed. A shame, these books could have been sooo good.
Well now Sam Sisavath has gone and done it again......wrote another awesome story that I thoroughly enjoyed from first word to last word. This series is so totally different from his apocalypse series but just as exciting and entertaining.......so do not hesitate to pick up a Sam Sisavath book, you won't be disappointed, I know I surely haven't been. Thank you so much Sam for all the hours of pure bliss that your work has provided me and I'm sure to many many others as well. It's very much appreciated and I happily anticipate your next book.
