Retriever Bron Everhart had no idea that his easy “find and seize” mission would be complicated by his need to protect Kizzy Lewis who has just became a target for any other who desires the purgatory heart in this exciting paranormal romance.
Kizzy has always been fascinated by the paranormal but who would’ve thought that an accident would make her target in the world that she only dreamed existed and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the excitement as Bron has to journey into Purgatory itself in order to save Kizzy. Bron and Kizzy find themselves fighting a sizzling attraction while trying to stay ahead of all the others who desire the heart which has some passionate encounters flowing from the pages as well as emotional and spark flying encounters and be prepared for a few chuckles along the way as Kizzy challenges Bron in a number of ways. These strong, captivating characters demand reader’s attention while the fast paced and smooth flowing plot thrills them with lots of suspense, excitement and romance.
Never ending excitement takes this story by storm as Kizzy becomes the target for others of all races, there is harpies, vampires, witches, soul bringers and a blogging menace that keeps Kizzy and Bron on the run and some unexpected twists keeps readers on their toes as well with a few hair raising events. The story comes together in such a way that it keeps readers glued to the pages of well written scenes that are full of vivid details that make it easy to depict each and every scene.
The Beautiful Creatures world always fascinates for me because Michele Hauf has her own creative flair that she imbues into her characters and the stories are full of intriguing creatures that I can’t get enough of. Bron and Kizzy’s story is quite different with some disturbing events that really adds a bit of a dramatic bent to the story that I sure didn’t see coming but it’s what the story calls far so it’s all good.

The countless paranormal ideas that Michele Hauf thinks up continue to amaze me, and the new story in her Beautiful Creatures world is truly one of most original. When a werewolf is sent to obtain an object, he never thought procuring the item would be so complicated or awaken long buried emotions. The human woman with whom he becomes entangled is very curious about anything supernatural, and the truths she is learning leave her surprisingly thrilled. What happens on the perilous adventure that this couple takes together is a journey filled with fascinating discoveries. HER WEREWOLF HERO captures the imagination on every enthralling page.
Working as a Retriever for Acquisitions is something Bron Everhart thoroughly enjoys, as the werewolf likes the quest of tracking down an object. His latest assignment is an item that many might want, so he plans to find the Purgatory Heart before everyone else. After hearing the piece has special powers and needs to be kept from anyone who would use it for evil purposes, Bron knows he must quickly locate the much desired heart.
Shortly after arriving at the site where it should be found, a woman starts being chased by several supernatural creatures. Though Kizzy Lewis has always believed in the paranormal and wanted proof any beings with special abilities were real, she did not want her first experience to end with her dying. So she is grateful to the stranger who was in the park and kept her safe. Bron is stunned when Kizzy does not seem shocked to see otherworldly creatures, and he is even more astonished to realize the artifact he wants is actually her own heart. It soon becomes apparent a huge group of unsavory beings are also determined to get what he is looking for, and none care if Kizzy dies. Bron is willing to do whatever it takes to keep the human woman from losing her heart, even if it means a trip to Purgatory.
A multitude of emotions are experienced while reading HER WEREWOLF HERO. I laughed, felt anxious and even rejoiced over what occurred to the romantic couple in the story, and my feelings were always completely involved in each compelling predicament they faced. Bron is someone whom I loved from the start, and his actions throughout the story made him a hero with numerous honorable traits. An incident in his past still haunts him, and I wanted to give him a big hug when all is revealed. Kizzy is a delight with her charming personality, and I thought her ability to see the bright side of any situation made her even more appealing. Their conversations are frequently packed with quick wit and plenty of humor, while anything sexual between them includes lots of heat backed by genuine caring. The characters Michele Hauf creates always have unique behavior, and the distinctive natures of Bron plus Kizzy are demonstrated time and again.
When it comes to extraordinary circumstances, Ms. Hauf can be counted on to fill her stories with loads of innovative weirdness, causing her books to be particularly entertaining. The premise of HER WEREWOLF HERO is creepily spine-chilling, where a number of situations cause much fear for the beloved couple. Various supernatural beings make an appearance throughout the story, and I was just as excited to see some of them as Kizzy. The part Purgatory plays is especially interesting and greatly added into the puzzle of what was going on. Another notable novel from Michele Hauf.

Even though Couldn't not were in the same line in the story in the beginning of chapter 2 or 3, the story was fine. Lots of action and lovemaking to the werewolf, and yet if there were a werewolf that turns into a woman, let me know.

I loved this book. I liked it so much, I literally could not put it down and read the entire book in one day. I put off writing a review immediately because I wanted to write a really great review because I thought this book deserved a more thoughtful review than, "OMG, I loved this book." But three months later, I'm just not getting around to posting this.
Overall, really great book. Great characters, interesting story line, very steamy romance. Heart wrenching story about learning to forgive people, as well as forgive yourself for doing things that caused harm to those you loved the most.

The big bad enemy would be a past Soul Bringer that already had his story with his only love was Desdenova Fleetwood 'Nova', Blackthorn Regis. If you have read their book this will be like a conclusion and will bring in this new couple.
Can a broken werewolf find the heart to make him whole?
Will a woman that died be able to find the meanings of her beliefs?
For me it was a slow book until like all the others I've read in the past, it got interesting towards the middle. A bit of a warning or a look out, Bron still in a way is married but not really. When I first saw that he said his wife (present tense) it throw me since I hate when the ire is a cheat happenings but (STOP READING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW ANY MORE)
He was banished from his own pack for cheating on his wolf mate with a human and have a child, when he walked away from his formal pack his marriage was ended.

The amazing imagination Michele Hauf has is simply unbelievable. To be able to come up with continuous paranormal novels is astounding. I have read Hauf's book before and she continues to leave me on the edge of my seat. This book isn't any different, as a matter of fact, I think it is one of her greater pieces of work. This find and seize mission will leave you begging for more! Thank you for the chance to read and review this book!

Retriever Bron Everhart has a dark past and a belief that he deserves to be punished for the choices he made hundreds of years ago. But his past and future collide when he is sent on a "routine" "find and seize" mission for the Purgatory Heart.
The mission is anything but routine when he finds the Heart beating in the chest of Kizzy Lewis. Kizzy is being hunted by a powerful enemy who wants her heart to access Purgatory. Bron does his to not get attached to Kizzy but he finds it useless. When their foe grabs his former wife and offers him a trade, his former wife's heart for Kizzy's but Bron can't bring himself to sacrifice Kizzy's heart for anyone. Unfortunately for him, Kizzy has a mind of her own, so hopefully he can just get all of them out of this alive and keep them out of Purgatory.

Not too shabby! I loved the pop culture references. The romance was certainly surface-level but still fun. I had a few pet peeves--characters having full-on conversations with themselves out loud instead of inside their heads IN PUBLIC...weird, much? Also, a few weird sentences/catchy sentences that were clearly inserted to be witty sentences, not because they fit with the plot. But overall, a good intro to Harlequin romances.
