摩挲大地

《文化苦旅全书:摩挲大地》主要内容：有关中国的路程，第二部分有关世界的路程，第三部分有关自己的路程。眼下这本《摩挲大地》，精选了原来《文化苦旅》和《山居笔记》里那些著名的篇章，这次对每一篇都进行了改写。书的后半部有关边远地区少数民族生态的文章，都是第一次发表。作者的书在国内的盗版本，早已是正版本的十倍左右。前些年应邀去美国华盛顿国会图书馆演讲，馆方非常热情地把他们收藏的作者的中文版著作一本本推出来向听众展示。但是，作者与妻子不得不苦笑着交换了一下眼色，因为推出来的大多也是盗版本，想必购自中国大陆。其中还有不少，是盗版者为作者编的各种文集，因此作者觉得不应该再麻烦这些盗版者了，决心重新整理一下自己的出版物。更何况，重访文化遗迹时所产生的新感觉需要补充，很多当时漏编、漏写的篇目需要加入，不少自己已经不满意的文章需要删削。
为此，作者花费不少时间等待以前出版的那些书的合约到期，然后不再续签，让全国各地正版书市场上作者的专柜空架了很久。在这个过程中，作者对以前的文章进行大幅度的改写，又增补了不少关及中华文化基本经络的文章。

Yu Qiuyu (余秋雨), born in 1946 in Yuyao, Zhejiang, is one of the well-known contemporary Chinese cultural and literary figures. With an enormous readership in China and overseas, his cultural explorations link China with the rest of the world and his bold and direct criticisms of certain cultural phenomena make him loved and detested in equal measure. In 1985, Yu became the youngest full professor in China at the age of 39, and later became the president of the Shanghai Theater Academy.
