Gone.
I lost my mind that day.

I am a devoted fan of Sapphire Knight! Twist (our H) was a broken angry man after the murder of his wife and child. I love how he was blindsided by Sadie when she sought refuge at her brothers club from her abusive ex. Twist fought his attraction for Sadie because of his demons but nothing could stop that love. He was true to her, never cheated stayed by her and her son's side. I would have liked more of a epilogue but I'm hoping we get more books in this series with updates.

Twist is one of the more "scary" members of the Oath Keepers MC; he keeps to himself, he's moody, and he earned his road name by being "Twisted in the head", especially when it comes to fighting for his club. All this causes 2 Piece, and himself actually, to feel he's nowhere near good enough to be the support that 2 Piece's sister, Sadie, needs when she turns up at the MC's door... pregnant.
When Sadie gets him to open up though, we get to see Twist's sweet, caring, loving side and he just makes you want to give him a hug (although I wouldn't advise that; he doesn't like it and might cut your hand off or something, lol). I thought Sadie and Twist together was perfect match, and their chemistry was spot on. Sadie is a great addition to the Oath Keeper's family.
Friction has drama, action, romance and certainly has some moments that will make you either sad, happy or just go awwww. I give it 4.5 stars.

Every time I pick up a new book from Sapphire Knight, I get a sudden rush of anxiety. I begin to worry...not about how good the book will be, far from it actually. But I worry about how I'm going to feel after my emotions will be put through a grinder, over and over again. And after every book, I know I worried for no reason. I would experience everything all over again!
And no matter how hard I tried to prepare myself, Friction left me gutted unlike any previous Oath Keepers book has before. Everything from characters, to story line, and to writing was an exceptionally powerful combination of anguish and ecstasy!
Life should be a culmination of highs and lows. But when Twist experiences the worst form of low you can ever imagine, he becomes just that....twisted. Everyone he loved and cherished was taken from him. But when a chance at a better life enters his world, he becomes twisted for whole new reasons he doesn't understand.
Scared and alone, Sadie seeks out the help from the only man she could ever trust. But instead, what she didn't expect to find was a man just as scared and alone as she was. Can they learn to love and let go of their pasts, together? Or will the lows overshadow any possibility of an unknown, brighter future?
I can't imagine being in Twist's shoes. What he endured left me heartbroken, and in utter despair. No wonder he turned into the man he is! But as tormented as he was, he still had the ability to care and protect Sadie with everything he had. And he acted as any man would when faced with hard, conflicting emotions, mixed with his hellish past...trying and failing to do what he thought was right when it came to Sadie. She was the perfect cure for what was ailing Twist deep in his soul. She saw past the tough exterior and harsh words, to the man who truly lived inside him, and she refused to let him go. Sadie stood her ground and didn't allow Twist to push her away, when she could have easily given up and focused on her own new life ahead. Strong and loyal, she was the perfect match for Twist!
This story was built off so much that already happened in the previous books, but I never felt like I was reading the same book, at all! It focuses on the deeper issues surrounding Twist and Sadie's relationship that was just hinted at before. Each turn of the page was a new discovery, I loved it!
Loss, torment, agony, passion and desires all play a part in this amazing book! If you've read Sapphire's previous Oath Keepers novels, you cannot pass up Friction!

He had lost everything but he found a rough companionship with his brothers in the Oath Keepers MC. Twist knows not everyone understands or even tries to get him, but he lives in his hollow existence day to day just biding time until his existence is no more.
Sadie has decided to leave California and head to her brother who is part of the Oath Keepers MC. Sadie is pregnant and the father made it more than obvious he wanted nothing to do with her or the baby. Sadie is just trying to find her way and take care of her baby.
Twist knows he should not be attracted to Sadie, but he sees a light in her that gives him hope. Protecting her is natural, but Twist is a damaged man who doesn't believe he deserves redemption. When an outside club begins to create havoc, Twist make a decision that will affect both Sadie and her baby.
Overall great story, I found myself unable to put down the book. I would have liked a bit more details about Twist's past life, you have snippets but it is not complete. Sadie was a firecracker, she fits right in with the MC. Unique story, will check out more from this talented author.

Ohh Sapphire you are just amazing!. Before I start my unspoiled review I want to strongly recommend that my reading Junkies pick up the other books in the series, so you all can have the full feel of this wonderful series and get to know all the other amazing characters stories. You have to remember that most of the books and stories are all intertwined together. So with that being said here we go.....
This story is written around Twist and Sadie. Twist being a troubled MC Brother with a dark heartbreaking past. Is thrown into a loop of uncertain feels and emotions by the presence and arrival of Sadie.
Sadie in the other hand being left with new responsibilities after being with someone who was not the person she thought. Leaves the one place she has called home in route to Texas from California to look for her brother Silas (2 Piece).
What I loved about these two characters is that they are soo opposite of each other his darkness she's light, but together they find away to help one another. Twist feels such a connection towards her and as you read the book you get to see that incredible connection grow to something so wonderful between them. The feelings and situations that these characters go through feel so real and believable you totally get tangled up in the book and story.
There were instances were the story felt so tragic and poignant and even hopeless at times for Twist and even Sadie, that you cant help to wonder how will this workout for them both?.
Thank you Sapphire for taking a story in your head that probably felt so devastatingly sad and making something so beautiful out of it. There story will be one of my favorite to remember. Absolutely a stunning 5 PLUS star!..Enjoy Reading Junkies!!

HOLY CRAP
Talk about AMAZING Twist and Sadies book is a MUST READ Rocked me to the core!
Twist back story is so heartbreaking I balled during the whole prologue it was horrible. I can't believe a man could go thru all of that and come out so strong. He has his broken parts but dam he is still so strong.
If you have read the other books you know Sadie is 2 Piece's sister she comes running to him because she is pregnant and the baby daddy is MIA. She runs into Twist when she first gets to the club and from than on out they are glued to each other . They aren't your average couple and they both have so many issues to overcome, but when they finally start putting the pieces together it is a beautiful love story.
This book has so many emotins running thru it I couldn't put it down! At the end when everything was taking care of and they had there HEA I was over the moon. Sapphire this is your best book hun i loved it!!

Oh My God, I freaking loved this book!!! It gets harder and harder to pick just one favorite of Sapphire's, wait actually I couldn't really do it if asked. I can say that this has become another favorite of mine that Sapphire has written. You will love this book. I wasn't sure about Twist because he always come across as a bit crazy and mean but once we get more of him and learn his back story it will change your view on him. I fell in love with Twist. You will love the relationship that Sadie and Twist build. He is drawn to her but he knows that he isn't right for her and fights it but Sadie isn't going to let him that's for sure. She is a feisty, independent woman that won't have him backing off. Will Sadie be able to help him deal with his past? Will Sadie's past come and bite them in the end? Will they be able to find their happy ever after? Find out today and pick this book up. I really don't want to give too much away but I can honestly say that if you read a Sapphire Knight book than you won't be disappointed. I love all her characters and storylines. She hooks me and keeps me sucked into her books to the point that I never want to put them down. I unfortunately have to at times but I do it grudgingly. I love to get to the end and find out how it all ends but I love the characters so much that I'm sad when its over. Don't miss out on this book or any of her others.

I knew Twist's story would be heartbreaking & tragic & it definitely was, but it was so much more.
Sadie was wonderful, she was sassy & fit in just fine with the other ol' ladies, but there were glimpses of a gentler Sadie. I can definitely see the appeal & why she gravitated towards Twist from the beginning.
Twist, my beautiful broken man, his past was so tragic, I teared up a couple of times. Twist was most definitely your alpha protective badass sexy biker; their sex scenes was on fire in the bedroom & other places ;)
I loved seeing all the MC characters. Cain. 2 Piece. Ares. Avery. London.
There was some great suspense & 'road' scenes.
Sapphire's writing is incredible, she makes you feel the love & loyalty that this entire club has for each other, they're really each other's family.
This is not a standalone, you have to read Ares's & 2's book, but you really should start with the first book, you will not want to miss this experience.
Can't wait to read more from you.

Twist is really twisted in how he will get information out of someone but that's not the only thing that is twisted about him. His poor mind. Nightmares and everything he has had to live with. I would have gave this a five star but it never said why his family was killed. I waited the whole book for him to break down and spill his guts about everything.... he did except why it happened.
2 pieces pregnant sister shows up unexpectedly. Twist is taken with her immediately and takes it upon himself to take care of her. 2 piece is pissed but he can get over it. Turns out who the real baby daddy is, is the real problem. Don't know why suddenly he wants her back after he knocked her around when she got pregnant. They are from two different clubs who hate each other.
If you read this you will enjoy it even with all the broken parts of Twist and how he gets his life back on track. I hope there's more to their story to come

Holy heartbreak!
I mean where do you begin with this book. So much sadness from the get go.
Twist is a damaged, broken man who is vengeful.
Sadie is a woman wronged and sets out to start new, with the help of her brother.
These two are amazing, light and dark, can they help each other? Without giving spoilers I will say that this book was amazing and drew me in just from the blurb and that rarely happens, ever. I was not disappointed in the least.
Sapphire Knight, thank you you amazing woman. These books are full of sadness and hurt yet have happy moments too and it makes up for the sad parts. Definitely a must read.

Friction by Sapphire Knight is a gripping MC novel full of graphic language and adult situations. It's audience is definitely an 18+ one.
I was gifted this book as an ARC for an honest review and to be honest I wasn't sure what to expect. This is the first of Sapphire's books that I have had the opportunity of reading. Not to say I haven't wanted to, as I have a collection of her books on my kindle ready for me to indulge in.
This book had me from the start! As you start reading there is a little note advising that you should probably read Forsaken Control before diving into this one. That had me a little sceptical that maybe I was missing something, but I had nothing to worry about. Although I will definitely be reading Forsaken Control very soon!!
To begin with we meet Sadie, a pregnant girl on her way to her brother, who also happens to be a member of the Oath Keeper MC in Texas. Originally from California, Sadie, now no longer working, decides to sell her parents house, to make a fresh start for her and her child. Leaving behind her former life and her baby's daddy - Ghost, a member of Iron Fists MC in California, Sadie embarks on a journey across states to join her brother 2 Piece.
When Sadie reaches the Oath Keeper's compound she is confronted by Twist, a club member who takes her in and looks after her until her brother awakens. Twist we discover, is an ex military man who lost his wife and daughter in tragic circumstances. After unsuccessfully trying to end his own life he is taken into the Oath Keeper MC where he becomes known as the Unholy One. That nickname says it all I believe, and I am sure you can imagine what a tragedy like the one he suffered can do to a man.
This is a story of a girl looking for love and stability and a man battling his demons to find his way back. It is an unconventional love story, that sucks you in, keeping you reading so that you can find out where the story will lead you. Everything that happens in between has you on the edge of your seat. It really is a fantastic story and one I would highly recommend!!

It is always a pleasure to watch someone prefect their craft. As a writer, Sapphire Knight continues to build upon her skills to bring to life amazing and raw characters who bring out the feels in her readers. She has gifted readers with a look at the MC world in which members become family and their loyalty runs deep. As a reader first I just have to say how happy and proud it makes me see how an author evolves in their writing careers. Some start strong in the race and some wobble a touch before they get their legs under them and really take off. These are the ones that I always root for. The ones that really start in those trenches but dig themselves out and stay humble the entire time.
I am so happy that that race of Sapphire Knight's has lead us to Twist. The evolution of her writing has really showed itself with this book and has landed it as one of my top two reads from her stable. Now, let me tell you why that is....
Twist is the 'Unholy One' of the Oathkeepers MC, he has a black, impenetrable soul mired in the loss of his family and turning him into a soulless monster. He exists day after day not really living.
Sadie is on the lam. When she is left pregnant and alone by trusting the wrong man she pulls up stakes and runs to the one man she knows she can trust...Her brother 2-Piece. Only, when she reaches the clubhouse she winds up falling into the arms of an unlikely savior - Twist.
A bond is forged between these to lost souls that can't be broken. Banged up, tarnished a bit - but not broken. Twist was unable to save his wife and his baby girl, now he refuses to let history repeat itself. He will do whatever needs to be done to keep hold of the only light in his life. Unleashing the Unholy One my be the only way to keep Sadie and gain his redemption.
This is my confession: If you set aside the angst of MC life and the brutality that entails, you will see a beautiful story of love worth reading more than once.

**ARC For Honest Review**
-Must read previous books in the series-
Ah Sapphire knight never disappoints, I know everytime I pick up one of her books my world's gonna be rocked and tipped on its axis, her stories are flawless and her character's are magnificent.
Hmm Where do I start...
The build up for twist character was like a slow sizzling burn.....then BAM!!!! It exploded all over the first few pages of Friction, which had me wanting to run and hide in a dark room and weep. The vivid detail of that first scene made me feel like I was right there with twist screaming...WHY??
Oh my heart broke for twist when he tried to end it all only to be forced to survive in his own personal hell having to hear his sweet baby girls voice day in and day out bound to life by a promise he wish he'd never made. I wouldn't have survived...I think twist said it best... "My story isn't for the weak"
Ahh but when one door is viciously shut Sapphire rips open a window and let's in a ray of sunshine..in the form of 2 peices infamous sister Sadie and she's one amazing women who shines all her light on twist darkness and even with all her own issues and hangup's she never stops fighting for twist and never stops fighting to give him the only thing she has..her love and a family again.
Friction is one hell of a read, Sapphire will take you on an emotional roller coaster and she'll show you a side of twist that you never knew existed and a love story no one would believe possible.
Thank You Sapphire for yet another spectacular ride I can't wait for the next

After brutal murder took his wife and daughter from Twist, he's lived in a constant state of darkness. The MC life is the perfect way for him to take out all his aggression, drink himself into oblivion, and live high as a kite. He never expected to meet the woman who could bring light to his darkness and make him want to wake up to live another day.
**"You ain't never been loved the way I'll love you."..."An then I'mma love you, for the rest of my f***in life."**
Sadie just needs to be with the one man she trusts; her brother. After trusting the wrong men she finds herself pregnant and alone. She never expected to fall for a brother, one who everyone considers to broken to give her what she needs.
**"I care about you. I promise, I'm tryin' to be a better man for ya'. I know I don't deserved you, but f*** if I ain't gonna at least try to be half the man you oughta have."**
Friction most likely is my favorite book I've read of Sapphire's. She has a way of writing that you feel each emotion these characters are feeling. You feel Twist's pain, Sadie's hopelessness, the club's anxiety. I can't wait to see what's in store next for the club =) Actually I really just want to see Prez get him another chance.

Another brilliant installment to the series. Friction contains the continuation of club issues and problems with rival clubs and other businesses involving The Oath Keepers MC and characters I have grown to love.
Recommended reading from the start of the series.
Friction focuses on Twist and Sadie's relationship along with other chaos surrounding the club.
A great MC series with hotness, likeable characters, danger and a broken biker that finally finds peace and love.
Written in dual pov's, from the very beginning you feel the pain of Twist as he comes home to his wife and child murdered, from there he finds the Oath Keepers MC.
Sadie is the sister of 2 piece and is fleeing a violent partner also a biker from a rival club. Sadie is a likeable humble character.
An insta love story with two people who were meant to be together but first have to overcome issues and the club gets another O'l lady.
Twist:
love is real. Soul mates do exist, because I've just found mine.

This is a books I have been wanting to read for a while now. It is also one of those books where you think this will be a 'good read'. Then you actually read it and your just like ' Wow' there are no words to describe just how brilliant this edition to the Oath Keeper MC is.
Twist is twisted and comes from a dark and traumatic past. Having lost his loved ones in a terrible and violent way.
He struggles daily to live his life, when Sunshine finally enters his life in the form of his fellow MC brother 2 Piece's, little sister. Sadie brings Sunshine but also her own baggage. They bond and are drawn to each other. The chemistry between them is hot and burning. There are moments where you may doubt Twist's sanity but not his love or devotion to Sadie.
All Author Sapphire Knights books should come with a WARNING that you will stay up all night to finish reading and leave you craving more. More hot Alpha men, more sizzling chemistry and more dark, troublesome and intriguing characters.

Twist is one of the more "scary" members of the Oath Keepers MC; he keeps to himself, he's moody, and he earned his road name by being "Twisted in the head", especially when it comes to fighting for his club. All this causes 2 Piece, and himself actually, to feel he's nowhere near good enough to be the support that 2 Piece's sister, Sadie, needs when she turns up at the MC's door... pregnant.
When Sadie gets him to open up though, we get to see Twist's sweet, caring, loving side and he just makes you want to give him a hug (although I wouldn't advise that; he doesn't like it and might cut your hand off or something, lol). I thought Sadie and Twist together was perfect match, and their chemistry was spot on. Sadie is a great addition to the Oath Keeper's family.
Friction has drama, action, romance and certainly has some moments that will make you either sad, happy or just go awwww. I give it 4.5 stars.

The devastating prologue gripped me and there was no hope of escaping. What Twist endured and tragically tried to hold on to made me realize that there is more story behind every character that Sapphire's writes. Twist story will reel you in and hold you hostage with no hope of escaping and its not like you will want to anyway. Sadie comes looking for her brother and one encounter from Twist, literally TWIST her up. The banter and conversations between the pair is so raw and relateable that you can't help but wish nothing for the best between them. Through conflict and doubt these two will pull you in and you will want to know all you can. The chemistry was off the charts and they storyline was great, I love the glimpse we got of other characters we met throughout the series and can't wait for the next installment.

Friction is a great addition to this series I strongly suggest you read them in order to get the full effect. Twist has a dark past and may not be the man that 2 Piece wishes to be involved with his sister Sadie but when she turns up at the Club needing a place to stay its Twist that offers her that and so much more, the pull between these two is so strong your likely to get burned if your in the way.
Sadie can definitely hold her own amongst this group of bad ass bikers and their ol'ladies but she also has a softer sweeter side that draws Twist out and makes him seem somewhat normal than the twisted dark soul his brothers see.
The book is full of twists and turns, plus it is great to see what is happening with the other bikers of the Oath Keepers MC.

Author Sapphire Knight is one amazing author, I loved Twist since the begining of her series there was always something that tugged at my heart for him, and I will say one thing this story will make you want to believe again in love and in the human soul, eveyone has past that haunts them but Twist's past is beyond haunting most people would have never survived. Sadie comes into his life and she is his light out of the darkness...do yourself a favor people get this series!..One last note...Sapphire will push the envelope in her storylines touch on dark subjects and you often wonder, how does someone think up this stuff...well they do because they are great writers!

First off I will start by saying I have read all of Sapphire Knight's books leading up to this one and they are all great! You can see with each book is getting better and better. I'm not sure how much better she can get, I love every single one of her books.
Twist is a mysterious character and I always wondered why he was the way he is. After reading the prologue I get it. I love this book so much. Not only do we get into Twist's head we also meet 2 Piece's sister Sadie, again.
I can't wait for more from Sapphire Knight in the future! Hopefully sooner than later. I'm addicted to her books!!

This book was sexy, intriguing, Raw, I could not put it down Sapphire, has done it yet again her talent knows no bounds.
Oh Twist, you sexy,beautiful, Wicked, broken.man I want you so bad he hasnt had an easy life thier been so much pain and resentment, in.this life I loved his character I wanted to hold his kiss him get naughty with him and slap him all at once his connection with Sadie, was undeniable, he kept fighting thier connection!!!

What a great addition to the series. Twist is a rough around the edges biker with a heart of gold. Sadie is a great strong willed woman, who happens to be pregnant and 2 Pieces sister. Sadie is a great addition to this series. And Twists story is one that takes you for a wild ride. Can Sadie mend this broken man? Well you have to read this to find out.
I strongly suggest reading Exposed, Relinquish and Forsaken Control so you know who the other characters are and to understand the story line better.

Twist is definitely different then all the other members of the MC. He has a past he hasn't shared with his brothers but it haunts him almost every day. Sadie is understanding even before he knows why. She can also give him part of what's missing as long as her brother (2 piece) doesn't kill him first.
I have loved every book in this series. Somehow Sapphire Knight has made the bond between Sadie and Twist one of my favorites. He has such a rough personality but Sadie makes him sweet and just a little soft where she's concerned.

OOh Boy! Friction was intense! Crucial insights to Twist's insanity are revealed in this action packed addition to the Oath Keepers Series. Sadie's role in this follow up is a beautiful addition to this MC's family and I loved this book! This one is not for the faint of heart and you definitely need to read the prior books in the series to get the full experience of this novel. Once again Sapphire Knight brings you into the world of the Oath Keepers MC and it is a jaw-dropping experience!

Sapphire has done it again she has managed to put me in a total hangover this book was emotional,Raw,Gritty,This story was very well written I could not get enough of twist he was this beautiful, broken man then when Sadie, enters his life it all changes!!
This is A must read I loved how both Sadie and Twist grew togather their connection was strong and undeniable great job Sapphire.
