As Matthew 6:24 says, “You cannot serve both God and money.” But unfortunately, many people serve money without ever having made a conscious choice to do so. By not learning how to manage your money, you become a servant to your finances. Even though you may have a heart that wants to boldly serve God, you can end up serving money by default—simply because of your situation in life.
“Money Mastery” is a book that offers a spiritual and practical guide to becoming the master of your own money. Learn how to build wealth, not for wealth’s sake, but for the power, as 2 Corinthians 9, “to be able to give to every good cause!” Through your wealth, you can have city and nation impact.
Our church read this book together and it's stretching our thinking! Money is a sensitive subject, especially when it comes to the church. However, it's obvious that most of us (including myself) need some instruction and help with money management. But what's the purpose of building wealth? Does that mean you're chasing after money for your own gain? Epperhart answers these questions as well as gives you practical advice about money management.
This book offers a good amount of biblical finance knowledge. I like the fact that the author got out of his comfort zone to spread a kingdom message and be an example to folks in less fortunate countries.
This is prosperity gospel. It leads you on in ways that are gross. It’s written in a style that sounds very self important. Yes, you shouldn’t serve money, but that is the only thing that makes sense in this book.
Strong introduction to principles of Christian wealth-building and stewardship. Basic with added spiritual texts for laying down a framework for god-based financial management (with specific focus on RE).
