Full disclosure. I am not a hiker. I bought this book as a resource for a book I'm writing that is set around the Superstition mountains. However, were I a hiker I would find it a great resource. There are multiple maps, detailed descriptions of trails, fun stories about the history and myths surrounding the area and advice and tips for if you go. I would have loved a separate chapter discussing the flora and fauna in the area but overall a very complete book.
