Jayce Flint, perfect stepbrother and all around nice guy is losing his mind. His once sweet, hero worshipping little brother has turned into a manipulative terror. One that has no problem using his hot body and pretty face to get everything he wants, even from him.
Declan Rainer's hiding a dark secret. He was the perfect son until his father finally married, leaving Declan all alone in a strange town and new house with a very muscular, overprotective stepbrother. He's tired of playing nice, and after a drunken encounter he's ready to get what he wants, starting with blackmailing Jayce.
Can Jayce keep from getting sucked into Declan's twisted games? Or will his own dark obsession prove far more destructive for the both of them?
18+ Explicit Content containing m/m sexual content of pseudo incest, graphic language, lots of dirty talk, a naïve manipulative gothed out bottom that wants to be used and a very rough possessive top happy to oblige, suburban youth culture of pretty white rich people problems, and some light drug/alcohol abuse. Smut heavy, plot light, all very dirty.
One of the best MM smut I have read till date!!!! This was a forbidden stepbrother MM romance with 25% plot and 75% of sexy times. The taboo aspect was extremely highlighted during sex and it was panty-melting hot .....without being cringe-y(which can happen a lot in a taboo novels).
Jayce could have stopped with his "My brother and I am too fucked up in the head" rant (which was written too many times to count)....but other than that, it was great.
If you are an MM reader who also loves taboo relationships and erotica's, you'll love this book, i swear.
Pure unadulterated filth in the absolute best way, this is hotter than Vesuvius and the step brothers explode even more than fireworks on Bonfire Night ;)
I mostly enjoyed this but by the end it was just too repetitive. There's way too much back-and-forth, and going around in circles between the brothers, playing out the same scenario every time, and not nearly enough time spent with them as a couple.
There were some hot hot hot sex scenes but I was skimming by the end. It's not like me to say this, but there was just too much sex.
And what is with all the dripping saliva? Not sexy.
Sadie Sins writes some of the most fun erotica. I really love her demon fiction so I had high hopes for "I'll Tell" as a taboo read of love between stepbrothers. She didn't disappoint with plenty of naughty talk and wicked action. I really enjoyed the strange imbalance of the relationship between Declan and Jayce since it was interesting to see the younger partner be the one holding the power in the relationship.
D really is an evil brat. I have to give him kudos for originality, too. He definitely knew how to work the "I'll Tell" angle by threatening to let his father or Jayce's mother in on their secret affair. I liked seeing him act out for attention even as I did feel bad for him having to try so hard to be noticed. It's crap when you've raised yourself since your parents have no interest in you and when the only person you thought you could count on seems to turn their back on you? That's harsh.
Jayce was a lot of a Good Ole Boy to me. I liked how he wanted to do the right thing by D while he also couldn't help giving in to his own desires. It's not like he's that much older than D. He had to raise himself since he was ten---that doesn't mean he's a grown man even if he is in college. The guy deserved a little bit of rough. I have to admit I liked seeing him cut loose with D. They were hot together and complemented each other well.
I'll Tell has a lot of taboo aspects to it though the guys involved are not blood relations of any kind and they are both of legal age. I liked the dirty talk the best. I have to admit it was nice to see the protective side of Jayce come out for D since the guy really did need someone to care about him. I'd recommend this one to anyone interested in wicked reading and alternative relationships who get a happy ending in spite of their socially unacceptable nature.
This was one of my taboo reads, so I read it in the cover of darkness in my room after the kid went to bed.
The taboo genre is one of my favorites, but the books are hit or miss because sometimes they are not done in a good way. This one was very good for a taboo read. It was very well written, and the romance was believable.
Jayce was a very believable character. He knew his feelings towards Declan would be considered inappropriate because of their prior relationship. Technically, they are stepbrothers.
I thought Jayce and Declan were cute together. My only issue was the whole "bro" thing during their freaky times, but everyone has their kinks.
All in all, a pretty good story, and it is currently free on the author's website.
here goes hate sex again hahah *wink wink* I love, love, LOVE the dirty talk. This one was hot, dirty and kinky!!! Off two stars because the writing was too repetitive it threw me off the hot scenes I’m enjoying 🙂 AND the “bro” names during sex just made me laugh bcs I swear that’s not hot AT ALL 😂 AND the word “brunette” was repeated like more than forty times (I lost count after thirty eight) I actually got annoyed a lot reading this bcs of the writing but I can’t deny how hot this was😋🥵
Well, I'm trying to find something good to say … 🤔It's actually not a bad book, the plot and smut is good. The idea behind the stepbrothers’ dynamic is also really good. The whole thing had potential to be great. 🧐
Jayce had never wanted anyone this way, and he didn't like it. He felt too out of control, too possessive and needy. He wasn't like this and he couldn't trust himself to not take too much from Declan. He was already certain he had taken far more than he ever should have.
„Take me. Put that huge cock of yours inside me. Fuck me so hard I can't walk, then fuck me again, and again until I'm full of your cum.“
Unfortunately, I was very glad when I finished the book. Someone really screwed up here. At first I thought ok, will probably get better in a minute, but it got worse and worse. With every "bro" or "brunette" I winced inwardly. What's so hard about using real names or whatever, but that was so off, every scene was ruined by it. 😡😤😡
Jayce pressed harder and the brunette opened, pulling his thumb into his wet heat. 😖😖😖
Oh this is dirty. Debated admitting I’d read this. 🤷🏼♀️
I haven’t read much (any?) taboo and this felt like a good starter book because the two MCs aren’t related. Oh boy do they focus on that brother bond though. I felt completely filthy reading this. I also laughed because having a character say “bro” during sex felt like bad frat house/jock porn versus brother porn.
One of the characters is “messed up” as another calls it. And that’s probably the part that throws me off more than them being stepbrothers. At least they discuss it in the end and it’s not that bad. Who am I kidding, the plot doesn’t matter. It’s just a distraction really. This is porn. Enjoy.
*Not bad porn I just can’t rate it higher because it’s so light on the story and I giggled when I doubt I was supposed to.
Like omg, this was awesome. This is not as taboo as one would think, its step brothers, not real ones. But they actually had some real chemistry. They have a lot of sex and it was really good. My only nitpick was the whole "I want him, but he is my brother so I shouldn't" that was done to death.
There were some editing errors, but it did not stop my enjoyment of it.
Scorching hot stepbrother erotic romance — like seriously, I think I burned my fingertips. 🔥
“Jayce wanted to fuck his little brother, and it was really starting to be a problem”
The way their relationship starts is so wrong on so many levels, with Declan blackmailing Jayce into doing *things* for him, but the ending was actually weirdly cute. Definitely don’t go into this expecting anything but pure smut - there is no plot, there is no resolution, only smut, smut and oh, more smut.
CW and tropes: ⇝ stepbrothers ⇝ goth/alt MC ⇝ cheating ⇝ blackmail ⇝ dub-con (mc was intoxicated) ⇝ homophobic parent ⇝ ‘just the tip’ ⇝ strict top/bottom ⇝ bro kink POV: 3rd person, single (only Jayce’s)

I'm tired, but I'm still gonna try to get this out of the way. DNF at 43%. My friend who's review convinced me to read this noted that it was 25% plot and 75% sex. She's not wrong. Well, I can't actually confirm that cuz I fucking gave up on the book. But what I read, at 43%, was 90% anything sexual, 2% plot and 8% me shoving fish hooks through my eyelids to keep me reading this shit.
The repetition itself was the worst offender. Declan was called a brunette, slutty and sexy, a fuckton of times. But the mention of his red lips and pale skin took the price in excess. Jayce, (who I incessantly couldn't stop calling him Joyce, with an "o" in my head) could not SHUT HIS FUCKING MIND UP! OMG, how many fucking times do you have to tell yourself this is wrong (no spoiler here since the name says it, but he dicks his fucking step brother), or getting mad when he hears or sees Declan do something sexual and goes off in his head about how he will kill whoever Declan says or does that to. Constant hints at a darker side of Jayce, but nothing still at 43%.
This book reads like an advertisement for the benefits of a bonfire. The writing, dialogue, continuation, fucking whole, damn plot, was inundated with shit. Total, fucking shit. The conversations were stilted. The scenery was crap, had to use my imagination to figure out what shit looked like. The emotions and chemistry, was falsified and non existent. Bringing these characters to the public was a goddamn medical malpractice. It made me want to jump off something. Fuck this book.
As much as I loved I'll Tell, I really want to give it negative stars.
1. We, said audience, can tell characters apart without solely and constantly calling them the blond or the brunette. I read a review that tallied up the numbers. It's ridiculous.
2. You want me to believe these are two consenting adults, also maybe don't constantly call one the kid or the boy. Declan and Jayce are only a few years apart in age.
3. I'm really pissed at the use of the slur r*****, not once, but twice. The annoying repetitiveness and the lack of editing, I can look over. Neither of those things stopped me from enjoying the story. The slur use is what makes me hesitant to pick up any more of this author's work. *heavy sigh*
Things I adored: The roommates-to-lovers trope. The taboo(ish-ness). The jealous grumpy cat and golden (the brunette in this case) retriever trope. It's a thing. Example A:Prince of Air and Darkness
I'm giving this book 3 stars because I enjoyed it and read it in one sitting. I really really want to rate it lower for the slur usage but I won't and I'll leave others to make their own opinions.
The Brunette if I never have to read that ever again, it will be too soon.
It was such an odd way to avoid pronoun usage in the 3rd-person perspective (both being he/him posed problems, as which H would the he/him be) Not only are guys not generally referenced as such (ette is the feminine form, guys are just said to have brown hair), it was hundreds of times. The blonde wasn't as often, even though it should have been blond.
Drove me up a wall.
There were a few other writing issues but they were overshadowed by the issue above, to the point I couldn't focus on them. They didn't detract from the read or pull me from the story like brunette did.
This is one filthy book, loaded with nonstop smut. If you're in the mood, it's a decadent treat.
I thank Sadie Sins for the free read, and M/M Book Rec on FB for the recommendation. This brunette recommends to her fellow naughty readers.
Available in the FREE tab on the author's website.
Jayce has a little brother. His little brother grew up to a pretty boy. Jayce is f*cked up. He wants to do wrong things to Declan. It's so sick, but he can't help the want!
Declan is f*cked up! He wants his big bro do to things to him ... wrong things! How can he want that?! How can he make Jayce to do those things to him? Blackmail ...?
Well sh*t! I loved this book, is not incest because the brothers are not blood related but J. has protected Declan for years, and he sees him as his own little brother. The mind game, struggle and confusion is madding!
4.3 Stars!
****I would like to thank the author for the privilege and opportunity of reading this ARC. My review is an honest opinion of the book****
Is it a great plot or exceptional writing? No. Is it smutty and addictive? Yes!
Don't get me wrong, it's definitely not a bad writing or plot, just kind of your basic smutty forbidden romance stuff. Most of the book is sex, these two can't get enough of each other. And it's not about two young men who "happen to be step-brothers". No, these fuckers really get off on the pseudo-incest. They're obsessive, jealous, and stupid. Pretty much everything is obvious in this story but I just enjoyed it immensely anyway.
