This was my favorite of this series. The guys originally had a one night stand at the Olympics, but after they became teammates, they started hanging out and became friends with benefits. Then feelings developed. After a few weeks apart while Tarben was sent to the minors, they declared feelings.
This was mostly sweet and entertaining. No real angst, just one character having to come to terms with "inappropriate" feelings toward a younger teammate, whom he'd have no qualms dating if circumstances were different. Luckily, everything works out.
Odd that the book I liked the least actually got a better rating for writing and plot, for being a bit more substantial than the others in this series.
Didn't like this one quite as much as the first two novellas in the series, if only because it was a bit less grounded in place/we didn't get as strong an idea about the other guys in the team. The language was a bit more purple too.
