"Like what you see?"That runs...hot.
"Fuck yes."
"Then show me what I'm going to fuck."

“Gotta go?” asked Thom.
“Sad to say,” said Gerry, standing up. “It was fun chatting.”
Thom’s heart stammered. He licked his suddenly dry lips. “I know you said you’re busy with work. But if you get out early, I’m going dancing with some friends.” Keeping his eyes on Gerry was near impossible with his heart hammering so hard, but he kept it up. “Can I give you my number?”
“I leave tomorrow, Thom.”
“Okay.”
“And I’m not looking for a fuck and run.”
“Who says I am?” Thom asked, more out of reflex than honesty.
Gerry placed a hand on his surprisingly slim waist. “You’re saying if I wasn’t down, you wouldn’t mind coming with me and then never again?”
Thom couldn’t help the smile that danced over his lips. He leaned back in his chair to look up at Gerry. “I wouldn’t mind coming, sure. But I may very well regret the never coming again part.”
Gerry grinned. “Clever boy.”
“I try.”
Gerry laughed. “You would be fun. But I’m serious. I’m not looking for just anything. I’m looking for…”
“Something,” Thom finished for him. Gerry nodded. “I get it,” Thom said, smiling genuinely up at Gerry.
“I’ll tell you what, though.”
“What’s that?” Thom asked, the rabbit beat of his heart slowing as he got his expectations under control.
“If there’s a next time we run into each other, I won’t be such an idiot.”
I turned the corner this afternoon and found you. And said no. I came in here at random and found you again. I don’t need the universe to give me a third chance.
“Not the end?”
“Not even close.”
