*Short Companion Novella that follows the story of Imperfect Truth* If you want to know what happened to Ava after her happily ever after in Imperfect Truth, check out this short novella. You must read Imperfect Truth to read this book.
Ava Harrison is a USA Today and Amazon bestselling author. When she’s not journaling her life, you can find her window shopping, cooking dinner for her family, or curled up on her couch reading a book.
I want to thank Ava for releasing this epilogue because I needed it. I wrote in my review of Imperfect Truth that I found the ending rushed so this was just a perfect addition/conclusion to the story.
I want to thank Ava for giving us such a wonderful epilogue to an amazing book. I fell in love with Imperfect Truth when I first read it. I often thought of how Alex's and Ava's life would end up after everything they had gone through. What happened to them? Did they ever find their way back to each other? So many questions.....in my head I knew how I wanted this story to finish and Ava has giving me just what I wanted. Alex and Ava's story was so emotional and touching that it will stay with me for years to come. I'm glad Alex found the strength to be what Ava needed and that Ava found herself and what she wanted and needed from Alex. I don't want to give too much away just to say you will love the conclusion to this wonderful story.
This is a short follow up novella to Imperfect Truth, which basically it's an extended epilogue that I felt was perfect to wrap everything up nicely. It's been three months since the whole Ryder thing and two months since Alex has moved back home with Ava. Things are going great between the couple and their marriage is stronger than ever. Soon Ava realizes her period is late and she starts to panic wondering if it's too soon and if they're ready to be parents. She buys a pregnancy test and rushes to her BFF, Jules' house to take the test. After the test shows she is in fact pregnant she realizes that while she is scared she is also happy. She's a little nervous to tell Alex the news but when she does he is just as excited as she is. Alex's parents are still assholes but now he doesn't stand for Ava being disrespected by anyone especially his Mother. Towards the end of her pregnancy Ava is meeting Alex for lunch and when she gets to the cafe she runs into Ryder Matthews, the douchebag and she lets him know exactly how happy her and Alex are. Ha ha, I love that she got the last word on that arrogant fuck knuckle of a predator.
F@ck yourself, Ryder!!!
Read immediately after Imperfect Truth. This was such a treat to see that things worked out in the end. So thankful to see forgiveness give way to a deeper love. And, so thankful to see the family growing.
Ava embraced all the work she'd done with her therapist. She also embraced the second chance that she had with Alexandre. It was also a treat to see Ryder get a bit of comeuppance. Who doesn't love to see the 'villain' mired in misery of his own making?
This little epilogue was just what I didn't know I needed. I had really enjoyed the first book, Imperfect Truth. It was a difficult read, because of the pain and desolation, the poor decisions and the miscommunications that plagued what should have been a happy marriage. Its ending however, left me satisfied. When I saw that there was an epilogue available, I instantly wanted it, but what more needed to be said? What more could be added to the story without it being over played?
Oh, just all the most perfect tidbits. The way it gave realism to the first book, having the author as the main character and story teller, discussing her success with the first book. The way it beautifully tied up a couple loose ends, letting you know that with the passage of time things were put to rights. Giving you a glimpse of a longer term happily ever after. Then, the way it leads you right on into the next book, connecting them in a way I still think on as I read the spin-off. Absolutely delightful, and just enough. ~ George, 5 stars
When I love a book and the characters, as I did Imperfect Truth with Ava and Alex, I always find myself wanting more of the story, an insight into the characters lives after the end. Perfect Truth is that MORE, a perfect treat for readers who fell in love with the main story and characters. This epilogue was everything that I could have wished for to give me that extra taste of the story after the end!!
Thank you for giving us a bit more of Ava and Alex! This is a super quick read, shirt novella. We see into Ava and Alex's happy ever after, but I wish the author would of gave us what we really wanted, the delivery! I wanted that! I was so happy that Alex finally stood his ground and stood up to his mom for his wife. Ava gets her chapter closing for Ryder. She's grown so much. Looking forward to the never book.
Some truths heal... others rip you apart... "Perfect Truth" is a novella sequel to "Imperfect Truth" which gives us a small peek of what happened after the main novel. I made the mistake of reading it 1st but nonetheless it has piqued my interest and I will definitely go on to read the previous novel... which just so happens to be a true story as well. 5 Intreguing Stars wanting me to read more.
I had high hopes for this novella, especially since it started off quite promising. However I felt it didn't really go anywhere and it could've easily been included in the first book. A little disappointed but overall the two books are definitely worth a read.
This was the perfect end to Imperfect Truth. I was happy to read more of Ava and Alex's story. To see what happen afterwards. I was not disappointed. Very good read!
