Interesting. Some sections less so than others, but I enjoyed this well-rounded, basic survey of unique Pennsylvania characteristics. I've always liked reading about the daily lives of people in history.
I found this book rather interesting. The author brought forth many unusual, yet interesting, customs and historical facts about life in early Pennsylvania. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in history.
I was a little disappointed some of the info was very interesting but after awhile it got a bit boring I was hoping for more human Pa customs . Like in Pa there is a non spoken rule that the oldest female must be on the outside of a sidewalk ( towards street ) and if with a male the man must be on the outside . But I didn't know that a lot of our towns - Blue Ball was named after a Traven . That Intercourse was originally named Cross Keys .
