This has been an enjoyable read. I like the creative take on the merfolks lore which was infused with both mythical and scifi aspect. There's a touch of incest due to the culture differences between the two species. It was interesting how these merfolks selects their mates.
Eventhough there is an element of imprinting that caused the protagonist to crave the touch of his unwelcome sex-crazed violator cum future mate but there is no instant love here. In fact it is a slow and steady romance development with hoards of rocky situations to overcome before they came to mutual understanding and compromisation.
At times the time-traveling events might cause a bit of disorientation but the author did his/her best to get readers back on track before we start sweating about it.
Anyhoo, I have enjoyed it enough to go back for a second visit right now.

ok esta novela fue UN viaje… por donde empiezo??
la empecé porque me dieron ganas de leer algo de sirenas que hace tiempo que no leía algo así (te extraño age of the sirens) y me llamaba la atención la primicia. rápidamente me di cuenta el patrón que iba a llevar esta cosa…. coger, coger y situaciones muy convenientes para la trama.
en un momento me vi tentada a tomarme un shot cada vez que al sireno se le paraba, hubiese quedado en coma etílico. en lo general no me molesta el smut, en realidad al ser un danmei me sorprendió que tuviera contenido tan explícito pero en este caso me llegó a cansar DEMASIADO la cantidad excesiva que sexo que hay en esta novela, hay literalmente 70% sexo 30% trama, y la trama ni siquiera es que compense mucho en entretenimiento.
hablando de la trama, es RA RI SI MA, en una sola novela te lanzan nazis, experimentos genéticos, gore, genocidio, viajes en el tiempo, SIRENAS ZOMBIES (esto es en serio), guerras entre especies, gang rape y creo que en los extras hay mpreg… es DEMASIADO. y a mí no suele molestar que las autoras se lancen tramas fumadas y plot twists casi que ridiculos, keep going girls I love u, pero en este caso todo esto pasa EN MUY POCO TIEMPO y tan mezclado que no te deja procesar nada de la información, hay muy poquitos flashbacks para la cantidad de información que hay en el pasado de los personajes y al estar narrado en primera persona la narración tampoco ayuda al lector a averiguar un poco más sobre este mundo, también el hecho de que esté narrado en primera persona queda ridiculo al momento del misterio o de revelar puntos importantes para la trama, se ve sacado de los pelos que el protagonista DE LA NADA saque conclusiones/soluciones a todas las dramáticas que se le encuentren. aunque la trama se mueva bastante, es tan hilarante y llena de huecos argumentales que yo realmente terminé leyéndola por consumo irónico, por simplemente decir: “cómo vergas va a terminar esto? necesito verlo”.
y aunque el consumo irónico no era mi meta al leer esto, si me mantuvo entretenida por un rato largo, demasiado relleno en algunas partes, pero consumible, no era lo peor de este mundo. hasta que… llegamos a los últimos 15 capítulos… que soberano sufrimiento fue esa recta final, NO ME METAN MISCOMMUNICATION CUANDO YA ESTAMOS POR TERMINAR LA NOVELA POR FAVOR, encima que me meten no solo uno SI NO DOS, D O S terceros en discordia que no aportaron absolutamente nada y que solo aparecieron por 10 caps, me dio una tremenda arrechera. de las peores formas que hay para terminar un libro por favor.
y hablando sobre los personajes y la pareja…. meh. no hay mucho que pude sacar, el que tiene apenas un poquito de personalidad es el prota pero aveces toma unas decisiones tan pero tan pendejas que te hace dudar si realmente se supone que es el genio que supuestamente te dicen que es, el interés romántico, que es el sireno, está ahí. no hace mucho, es muy vacío simplemente existe para cogerse al prota y salvarle el culo cada vez que se mete en problemas (dinámica que, sin joder, pasa cada 5 capítulos). su relación no es TERRIBLE pero meh, no te produce mucho sentimiento. y si hablamos de los personajes secundarios hay literalmente 0 que decir, no hay ni uno solo que destaque o importe, solamente el malparido de rhine que se la pasa todas sus escenas tratando de cogerse al prota y siendo un grano en el culo, ni siquiera chen man era tan pesado e inutil.
en fin, mi calificación es de 2⭐️, podrían haber sido 3⭐️ si no se hubiese vuelto tan repititivo pero aún así no creo que sea la peor literatura que hay por ahi… si la quieren leer háganlo bajo su propio riesgo

Las 5 estrellas es nada más por lo mucho que disfrute este libro, por momentos me generó mucha incomodidad pero nunca me dieron ganas de abandonarlo y como soy una lectora emocional pues de ahí la calificación.

A ver, no le doy 5⭐ porque la frustración vivida de mi parte con el señorito Desharow llegaba a la Luna, PEROOOOO....
Admitiré varios puntos importantes:
• Uno (no me atrevo a finalizar la historia, ya leí suficiente drama sobre y con mi super tritón favoritisimo de la existencia, solo leía por él mjmmm)
• Dos (teniendo en cuenta mi personalidad y mi sentido recatado con lo que a sexo refiere, sería capaz de gritar con mucha tranquilidad que SÍ, este medio hombre medio pez me llevó a límites insospechados de mi creatividad sexual, de lujuria con sabor a agua salada y almizcle)
• Tres (si algún día tengo la posibilidad de recrearme una simulación con ambientacion en esta novela, sería un mejor, por favor que mejor, una encarnación digna de este Dios del Mar multidimensional de escamas negras todo poderoso jajaja)

前半篇很精彩，是我读的第一篇人鱼小说，留给我的印象非常深刻，后半篇则有一种作者大大想写到哪里就写到哪里的感觉，但不影响，是一篇挺独特的文值得一读

This was... something.
Character: 10/10
world building: 10/10
story: 8/10 (??)
So characters? one of the best ones I've read, they're all so well done, their beliefs, motives, everything. I absolutely loved the characters. (minor spoiler, tho it's clear from the first chapter: Except for Rhine, he is well written but the amount of times I felt like throwing up from how vile he is, unacceptable LMAO)
The world building is so clever, I think it could've been expanded a little bit more, but it's so good as it is, I'll take what we have. I loved the concept that the author took and the way they used it to explore this world, absolutely loved it.
Story: this was like every trope that has ever existed meshed into one storyline, which made it seem fast paced at some parts (specially arc 4), Again, I feel like there was so much more that could have been done with the story, (and it was SO confusing at times) but it's okay, could've been way worse (those last 16 chapters were too rushed and had me confused like heck) but i pushed through some bad parts bc the characters and world building were incredible.
(loved the ending, hated the pain I had to endure to get to it)

Bunu daha önce okumuştum ama burada değerlendirmeyi şimdi hatırladım. Merfolklarla ilgili çok detaylı bilimsel açıklamarla kurgulanan aksiyon dolu bir maceraydı. Başlarda bu kadar seveceğimi düşünmemiştim ama okudukça heyecan seviyesi arttı. Artık son 100 sayfada elimden bırakamadığımı hatırlıyorum.
Denizkızlarını seven romantizm, paralel evren durumlarından hoşlanan, şehvet ve müstehcenlik arayan okuyucular için kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum. Ama bu kitap yumuşak bir tatlılık değil. Oldukça sert ve kanlı.
Şiddet sahneleri ve seks sansürlenmemiş halde sunuluyor. Betimlemelerle dolu ve bu da zihninizde tüm sahneleri hayal etmenize neden oluyor. Okurken kendimi okyanusta hissettim, dalgaların sesini duydum ve tuzun, yosunun kokusunu nerdeyse alabiliyordum. Ve instalove değil. Desharow, Denizerkeğine alışına ve onu sevmeye başlayana kadar tüm mantığıyla bu karmaşaya direndi. Ve aşk ilişkisi yavaş gelişti.
Fakat bu kitap bence çok tartışmalı ve herkese göre değil. Şiddet, taciz, tecavüz gibi tetikleyici ve ahlaki yönden bir çok çarpıklıklar olan bir kitap. Bir kaç defa bırakmak istedim ama hikayede olaylar o kadar fazla ve merak uyandırıcıydı ki her seferinde devam ettim. Sonunda da çok gereksiz gördüğüm bir olay oldu ama Healarını sonunda aldılar. Ama buna ulaşmak için çok zorlu yollardan geçmek zorunda kaldılar.

for world building and plot i would give this 5/5. but for the romance, i would give a 3.7/5. its a very steady romance and builds up over time for both of them. originally i didn’t want to read this because of the first person pov, i hate reading those but im glad i gave it a chance. the pov doesn’t change the story at all. the author was very well informed about the sea, the different sci-fi aspects, and the different cultural aspects. the author is a really good writer (although there were some instances of racism which was SO unnecessary, describing a thief as a black man was not needed AT ALL). there are also a bunch of trigger warnings that could make readers uncomfortable, so if u want to read it, i definitely recommend looking at those first. don't let the 100 chapters fool you this book is pretty long with around 5 arcs. agares is the ml and a merman. sometimes his lack of humanity really shows but for desharow, he tries and its very sweet! keep in mind that he’s another species so their morals are different, even though he doesn’t mean harm he can be pretty shitty sometimes

Tiene TW así que es importante leerlos antes de empezar esta historia.
Realmente pensé que era la historia borde de un tritón calenturiento y un biólogo humano, pero va más allá, tocando un montón de cosas desde historia a viajes en el tiempo y banda de locuras que igual me gustaron, vamos que me dejaron con una buena tapada de boca.
Aun así, llegando al final siento que alargaron mucho la cosa y aparecieron ciertas molestias (el pendejo rubio feo ese) que era innecesario, parecía alargar la trama cuando estaba ya tocando el desenlace final, eso cómo lector frustra mucho.
Bueno, Agares te amo aunque seas una red flag.

Empecemos con está crítica porque tengo que sacarla de mi corazón. Esperaba con tantas ansias leer está novela que hasta gritaba de la emoción; sin embargo, la decepción fue bastante fuerte.
No podía creer que Desaro fuera tan estúpido. Hay un límite para ser estúpido pero esté se pasó. Hubiera preferido que la novela tuviera varios narradores porque así uno puede entender mejor todo y tener varios puntos de vista me hubiera gustado más que Agares narrará un poco que de la parte del señor extra, la novela hubiera sido más profunda si tuviéramos el punto de mi vista mi rey.
Media es demasiado creo que un cuarto de estrella es suficiente.

Оочень неоднозначное произведение.
Принуждение, неоднократное изнасилование, секс под гипнозом. На протяжении практически всей истории я закрывала на это глаза, но под конец, когда правда о прошлых встречах героев стала всплывать, я уже не могла. Очень хотелось бросить, т.к чувства, возникшие у Дешарова вполне возможно были навязаны + эти все сцены принуждения - ну такое себе.
Огромный плюс это игра с параллельными пространствами и временем. Поддерживало интерес.

Oh god it was..well, fun. I usually don’t like when the bottom gets violated in any way by the ml. I’ve let it pass this time because i liked the overall plot. So i kind of ignored this part. I unfortunately didn’t read the last few chapters because I can’t find them anywhere :(

I'm really liking this book so far, but I'm uncomfortable with the forced relationships, but he's a newt, not a human, so that's understandable. (^_^")

February 6, 2025Idk how to rate this. I will say the aging of some scenarios are… and there’s also some sentences and perpetuated ideas abt skin colors/some races. Other than that, solid book with multiple arcs and well thought out plot decisions. Good book

Update: It was a unique story and I did enjoy it. I struggled with the amount of NC, but all in all, I did obsess over it.
MMCs were well written in very different ways. The storylines came together very well. The family ties were a little, uncomfortable?

La cantidad de tw que se carga es impresionante jNdjsj pero a pesar de todo, yo los quiero mucho, siento que a veces a Desharow me lo nerfeaban para que pareciera damisela en apuros y eso como que llegó a ser chocante, aunque en otras partes sí comprendía por qué es que se sentía así
Y bueno, creo que fue el final donde todo se arruinó para mí
A partir del cap 92 o así, todo se volvió súper confuso lleno de giros quizá innecesarios o alargados que le hicieron restar valor a la historia, ademas, el final final vino re apresurado y se sintió como un golpe incompleto, me dejó insatisfecha pero bueno, pasé un buen rato con ella ksdjsb
