Her family's fortune can buy Tara Douglas anything--except more time. Determined to make peace with her fate, she's come to the house her great-grandfather built in the Smokey Mountains to spend the time she has left in peace. But for once Tara becomes the healer when she finds wreckage of an otherworldly vessel, and a badly injured man whose glowing eyes see right into her soul...

When Ki'san volunteered to journey to Earth he never imagined he would find himself dying there. A physician from a vanishing race, he knows his people's law allows only a chosen few to hunt the females of this planet as mates. Ki'san's mere presence on Tara's world endangers them both, but the crash that leaves him clinging to life also brings him a female like none he could have imagined, one he cannot help but love.

I really enjoyed this book!

It has been some time since book #3 and was wondering if this one would be worth reading, but I'm happy to say that it was good!

A lovely story where there's no lust/love-at-first-sight, but the story progresses with nice pace. They first meet, then started communicating (Ki'san doesn't know the language!), than became friends and then fall in love. Very nice!

I loved Tara courage and Ki'san's sweetness. I also loved their interaction and, while Ki'san learnes English, their banter.

Both of them are nice persons and they are so right for each other.

There're some minor quibbles, like why Tara didn't tell him about her illness and why her illness deteriorated so quickly toward the end, but that really didn't detract from my enjoyment!

I hope the author continues with this series - i'll want to read the next!

I fell in love with this series right after book one was released and soon this series became one of not many that went onto my Goodreads track list. It's of authors/series that I love and need the next book in the series or just another book from that author. Not many books and authors have made it onto that list but Willow Danes quickly became one. And then I didn't see anything about book four. Myself and a few other readers looked for info on this book and couldn't find anything. To be honest I was sure this book wouldn't happen and I was fearful that the author had stopped writing or stopped writing under this name. And then I saw in my emails a notification from Goodreads from this author. I can't tell you how happy I was that this book was coming out and so soon. Then I read this book and fell in love all over again.

With not much time Tara decides against her twin brothers will to stay at her families old summer estate. Tara has always loved this old home and has done everything she can to keep it in the family and there is no place she would rather be. after a accident Tara is taken home only to get turned around and lost. Thinking she is headed the correct way Tara spots something huge in her property. Going to investigate Tara finds a spaceship with Aliens inside. Two have died but one barley holds on. Fearful but not able to turn her back Tara helps the alien.

Now Tara finds herself at her home helping an alien recover. Completely shocked that aliens exists and that she isn't afraid Tara and Ki'san get to know each other. While Ki'san is healing and waiting to be rescued Tara and Ki'san get to know each other, and as they do mysterys from Tara's old family home make themselves known. Spending more and more time together Ki'san and Tara fall in love while they also try to figure out all the secrets that have been kept for too long. But both know Ki'san's time is short on earth and Tara knows hers is as well. Just when all seems lost Ki'san saves the day only for them to be thrown right back into danger but this time Ki'san may not be able to save them.

This book fits right in with this series but we get a really interesting new take on this world or worlds that were created. What was really amazing to me though was the intricate story to this book, it's not just an alien romance their is a mystery and I was so wrapped up in it. I read parts of this book during a really bad wind storm and it was so bad it was rattling some inside doors which freaked me out at that particular part in the book. I actually had to tell myself to relax. This book is so engrossing I was hooked from page one. The romance was amazing Ki'san was everything to Tara and he did everything to make her happy, he was also just what you would think an alien from the planet Hir would be and more. Tara was a strong smart character who gave Ki'san something he never thought to even wish for.

I can't tell you how much I love the world that was created in this series, I can't seem to get enough no matter how many times I read this series. And the mystery just made this book so much more. I really hope this author writes some more books like this in the future. I will eat them up. This is a re-read series for me and I am so excited to get to re-read this one again. Though to be honest this is one of those books you are a little jealous of those who get to read it for the first time. The wait may have been longer than I would have liked(though I probably would have said that if it came out a month after book three) but it was more than worth the wait. I am so excited to see what happens next, and I can't recommend this book and series enough.

*This book was given to me by the author for my review.

**Does anyone else hate that if they don't say honest review in the disclaimer they wonder if people will think they are lying, and if they actually put honest review they wonder why they have to put honest review. Because shouldn't people know it's honest:}

Just okay

I like this series with the first being the best. I didn’t like the whole ghost/spirit angle. I make it a point to not read books like that so that was disappointing. I’d rather see some more world building and interaction on Hir. Maybe it’s time for a group of ladies to come to Hir.

It was alright. I perfured the first book in the series to this one. I wish we had more from the Hs POV but oh well. I didn't feel like the MCs had as strong emotional connection in this one as in others. :|

I was lucky enough to read HIDDEN in manuscript form, and between the gothic vibe and the adorable hero Ki'san, it might be my favorite of the series (though I've loved them all). This blazing fast and fun read has a hint of mystery, a dash of feminist commentary, and the sharp, witty dialogue that's Danes' signature. And the romance is sweet and sexy too. You'll enjoy the book whether or not you've read the rest of the series, but there are some elements of the story you'll get more of a kick out of if you've read them all (poor Sheriff Bill!).

Great

I really liked this book. You got to see another side of the Hir being Earth-side for so long. The mystery of Tara's family history was great. I wish we could learn more. I also wanted to see more of their new life on Hir.
I highly recommend.

This book would have been better if it was a normal contemporary romance mystery about a girl and an old house full of secrets. However in this state this books is neither contemporary enough nor scifi enough. I would say to the author to choose a main gender and lean in to it a bit more.

I loved this whole series and have been anxiously waiting for this one for over two years. Sadly, it didn't live up to the rest of the series for me. It was missing the same spark as the rest of the books. It didn't even feel like it was written by the same author.
There was a ghost story line added that took up too much of the story for me, and wasn't interesting. The other books also had some humor to them. This one didn't have any. Normally editing errors don't bother me much. However, this had at least one a page it felt like. Lots of words out of order, wrong, or missing. Sentences like, "He went to the to store." Didn't help the book out.
I still hope there will be more in the series though. I would love more books like the first 3.

I loved all the books in this series but not this one.
I'm very disappointed, I waited for this book for ever but what I read was about a silly story about some ghosts and spirits. I wanted more from Ki’san and Tara not 10 chapters of friendship and long discussions the history of a house.
I loved Tara so much, she is very funny and sweet. Ki’san was not as I expected. I’d rather see some more connection between these two people. Their relationship was cold and hadn't any real chemistry and strong emotions.... I mean by that Ki’san.
The novel, in my opinion, started really with chapter 10.

So far my favorite book in the series. I have some issues with some of the first books but this one was a very good read.
I liked the mystery of Tara’s family history but sometimes it was a little bit too much and I had to skip some pages. I like my erotica with some flesh on its bones (i.e. it doesn’t have to be sex scene after sex scene) but I prefer it when that space is used to develop the main characters or their relationship. Anyway, the book is pretty long so I wasn’t disappointed, since most of it was dedicated to showing us the growing friendship between Tara and Ki’san so beautifully -it felt so believable that a person in a situation such as that of the heroine would be so curious and open to something so extraordinary as befriending an alien.

I felt that this book was better written than the previous 3. It took a long time for the author to follow through with this book. I'm glad that it finally came out. The writing is much deeper for this one. I also felt the author had fleshed out the characters a lot more. I do wish that we could have seen a little more of the two of them on Hir. I would love for a follow up as well to know that the brother was informed. He seemed to really love his sister and for it to end with him not knowing was a bit upsetting.

This was quite enjoyable and made the wait for the series much more enjoyable. To be honest I felt that the writing was different enough for me to wonder if the same author was even writing this book. It was a big step up in her writing.

Just finished the series. What excellent characters, world building and storytelling. I'm not usually a fan of the 'mars needs women' trope, but the author really makes it work here. The emotion and chemistry get 5 stars. I really found myself liking all the leads very much. Okay, the main female lead in book 3, not so much, but other than that, absolutely. These books are all on Kindle Unlimited! Even if you sign up for one month, it's worth it for 9.99 for these 4 books. That's Cdn dollars, I don't know about other countries. Apparently Willow Danes is a pen name of Ariel Macarran, under which name she has another really good sci-fi fi romance series on KU. Both are recommended.

I liked the heroine better in this one. The dying angle is different and made for a lot less demanding to get back to earth. I like that she tried to understand Ki’san instead of assuming he’s supposed to be human. Though it helped he was trying to understand her.

But really all that ghost stuff seemed weird to add. It’s sci-fi. I have expected the All Mother to just be some AI thing. I still like the series I just think that having all the ghost stuff cheapens it.

I mean sci-fi with ghosts? It feels like lazy writing. But whatever I am interested in seeing where this series goes

A lovely reverse style tale of Ki'san a Hir healer whom we have met in previous stories, with his lifemate Tara but stuck on earth. I thought Tara's character was wonderful, particularly her humour, but I loved the development of her relationship with Ki'san. A great read, I often found myself losing track of time I was so engrossed.

After more than two years of waiting, the fourth installment of the His Warieor is here, and is great!
Tara and Ki’san are a great couple, the story had twists and turns that you will never see coming, and a sweet beautiful HEA.

It would have been way better without ghost understory. As it is,it is a prime example of author overdoing in hopes to make more out of story. It is still only skin deep, sweet and a bit of mess.Easy to read, hence 3 stars.

Great story

The story is great. This is the fourth in the series and just as good as the others. However, it really needs to be edited. A lot of wrong words and bad sentences.
