I thought we were going to make it. We were almost there. It was like I could feel the end right at my fingertips. We'd made it through the wedding and the reception. All we had to do was help my mom clean before making our escape. Then it happened. Jackson was the one that snapped. I was surprised. It all happened so fast. When my mouth opened, I couldn't stop it. I made myself look pathetic and took Jackson down with me. I'd confessed to having a fake boyfriend as well as sleeping with my brother's best friend. It was wrong. I knew it was. I felt horrible as soon as I'd done it, but there was no taking it back. I got out of there as fast as I could. There was no way I wanted to face my family. The more I thought about it, the worse I felt. I knew that I was flying home the next day, but Jackson would be left to deal with my brother and the only family he'd ever really cared about. Deep down I knew that he needed them, and there was a huge possibility that I'd taken them away from him. I picked up my phone to see a ton of messages and calls. It was no surprise that they had all come from my brother. If I could get through a call with him and lunch the following day with my parents, I'd be able to run as fast as I could back to my life and leave it all behind me. I knew once I left, I wouldn't be back. By the time I hung up with my brother, I was more hurt than I had been before. It was one thing to think I wasn't memorable or good enough for HIM to keep me around. It was a totally different thing to be used just to prove a point. I was on a mission, and I wasn't leaving without facing HIM and getting the answers I deserved. That was the plan anyway. Of course, nothing could ever be that easy when it came to Jackson.
This was a good end to the series, however Tina got on my last nerve along with her brother. Jackson is so dreamy and I am surprised he put up with all of Tina's over the top attitude. All in all it is a good series and I am glad I read it.
I enjoyed this book. Second chance romances are not normally my thing but it had just the right amount of hot romance to keep me hooked. The female MC kind of got on my nerves some and was being a little wishy washy. This day and age with Internet and social media she could have found out a lot about Jackson and what he has accomplished. Overall I really liked it and Jackson is extremely hot so how could you turn that down!!
Was basically finishing these last two parts off. The first part of the book (which could have been a full book), ended in a cliffhanger, so I wanted to finish off the story.
This is the third part and ended up far better than I thought it would. If it had been a full book, instead of in parts with cliffhangers, I'd probably have enjoyed it more.
I really enjoyed reading the final book in this series. As with all of the other books, it would be best to have someone edit them for omissions and incorrect words. It's pretty distracting to read and want to make corrections - must be the teacher in me.
This is a review for IN LOVE WITH MY BROTHER'S BEST FRIEND PART 3 by Sharon Cummin From the beginning of this series until the end of this book the suspense was always driving me crazy. I kept thinking will they get together or won't they. This author is great with keeping readers wondering. The problem with Jackson and Tina getting together from the start was Jackson's friendship with Tina's twin brother Tim and a promise Jackson made years ago. Will friendship be more important than love a second time or will Jackson choose love over friendship? This is the crux of the story. Will Tina's parents forgive him for what he did with Tina all those years ago now that Tina spilled the beans? Will Jackson and Tina be able to put the past behind them once they talk it out? You will have to read the book to find the answers. There are so many twists and turns throughout this story, which I enjoyed immensely. I can't recall another author that kept me so enthralled with a book. I sat down to read it and the next thing I knew I was finished with it. The story line was mesmerizing for all three books but especially this book. The author was superb. You really need to read the first two books prior to reading this book so that everything makes sense in book three. I was captivated as I read this book. There was no way I was stopping to do anything. Definitely a page turner. I loved this book and I know you will too. 5 Stars! (I would give it 10 stars if I could)
I am writing one review for all three books. It was a good story. Tina falls for her twin brothers best friend Jackson. They throw insults at each other and pick on each other. Her brother Tim forces Jackson to swear he will never touch Tina. Jackson agrees even though he knows he is falling in love with her. His family is really horrible to him and he loves Tim's family so much that he doesn't want to lose them. They wind up having sex on the beach when she is 18 and him 20. She gives him her virginity and the next morning he is gone. He spends all understating away from her. Tina goes off to college in New York and just never comes home. Tim her brother calls to tell her he is getting married in two weeks and she has to be there. Jackson is going to be his best man. Tina talks her best gay friend into going with her and introduces him as her boyfriend when she sees Jackson standing next to a beautiful woman. Read these three short books and see how it turns out.
In the first two books the feelings and consequences of what happened between Jackson and Tina is really well written and grips you that you can't wait for the next book! At the end of the second book I was left frustrated because I needed to read more. This one is just as good and I was wishing them the happy ending that they should have had ten years previous. Due to the promise Jackson made to his best friend and the way he left made Tina feel as though she wasn't good enough for Jackson and that he had just used her, due to this misunderstanding she left her home town and only returned ten years later for her brothers wedding during which she dropped a bomb shell. As much as I thought they would declare their love for each other this wasn't the case, the trust issues for Tina are to big, although they sent many text messages and shared a few phone calls it didn't take much for Tina's walls to go back up. This has been a fantastic series and if you read it you will not be disappointed!
Wowza!! I knew things were coming to a head and at the end of part 2, it all comes out!! Now its just seeing if Jackson and Tina can get thru all of the past fears and finally be together. Its one of those he still loves her, she still loves him but the walls need to come down and down they come in this book. The final book of their love story and yes, it is a love story!! And oh my gosh, what an ending. Not giving away any story, you just need to read it for yourself and see how it plays out, you won't be sorry. This is not a standalone, you need to have read part 1 & 2 first. Loved this series so much.
A disaster that ending in amazing. Jackson and Tina are bound to more than just a confrontation and this book gives it all to you and so much more. When the truth is finally spilled out for all to hear, Tina and Jackson have no choice but hear what the other has been through since they last saw one another. That faithful night has been engulfed in regret and rejection that Jackson vows to make anew. Proclamations and healed hurts, in this book the conclusion to Jackson and Tina's story you get more than just and HEA you get a family united and a heart more than healed. You get the Fairy tale ending we all dream of.... Swoon!
I had a love hate relationship with this book. I loved the story line and the characters. What i hated was the redundancy to the "you're not good enough for me" line between the hero and heroine. It was so annoying- the same thing over and over. I wasn't sure which one I wanted to slap. Also, rather than have 3 books, the author could have just made it one book and cut out a few chapters from the last book because the last few chapters were just running on and on and on. The book needs proofreading and editing.
This series is amazing. The subtly that which the author brings these characters to life is simple yet complex at the same time. Bringing past to current and proceeding on to the future endeavors of each. The reality of being wanted by each and not knowing it brings the fascination of the realization when it does come to light more dramatic than one might think.
I enjoyed the whole series about Jackson (Jackie) & Tina (Tiny). It took them awhile but they finally worked it out! The only problem was there seemed to be many typos, especially in the last book. There was one sentence, in the last book, that I never did figure out!
I received the third and final book of this series today and enjoyed my afternoon reading it. I loved the Tina and Jackson story, I didn't want it to end. This series was my first time reading a Sharon Cummins book and it won't be my last.
I liked this story. We get to watch the love grow more intense between Jackson & Tina. We watch as their love grows & they leave their past regrets behind them
I liked this series and in it's self this book was good but......what was with half the book being them texting? That was wierd for me. anyways, all in all it was a good read.
