A good finish to this fun group of books! Missing some connection and depth as far as well-developed characters are concerned, but I still highly recommend this series to my students for those who are into travel, adventuring, and animals!

Not only a story about getting along and being reliable, but also a competitive adventure, and - not least - a nature guide to the area of the current race. I stumbled on this one but would like to read them from the first. Worthy.

A solid finish to the series. There was a lot of animals and a lot of teamwork.

I still didn't like the addition of Eliza. She didn't do anything for the story except take away the feeling of team. She knew animal stuff just like Mari but without Mari's manners or sense of fairplay.

I do really like that the story turned around what had happened between Russell and Dallas. After all of these adventures, these kids will be able to go home and be friends again.

140 pages. I read two chapters/26 pages. Boring. Skip. Reading level is Grade 1-3.

Read with my daughter

We enjoy reading this book together before bed. It keeps her interest and is a quick read. She enjoys the animal bios at the end of the chapters.
