Octavio Montiago has been living in his cousin’s shadow for years. Diego Montiago Jr. also known as Junior has taken over the organization from his step-father, and has made quite a name for himself. As he and his cousin Octavio co-run the syndicate together, Octavio finds himself unable to keep himself out of trouble on his own, leaving his cousin consistently in charge of damage control.
Finally, Octavio has met his match and falls in love with the beautiful Siobhan. Although Siobhan is on the right side of the law, that makes her the enemy of the Montiago family. As Octavio continues to walk down the path of desperation, things take a turn for the worst. The Mafia encroaches upon his life, forcing him to make a difficult decision. As he finally feels he has met with some peace, the odds are yet again against him. Can Junior get him out of this one, or is Octavio on his own to free yet another damsel in distress. Is love worth dying for? You be the judge.

I have read the complete Easter's Lilly series so far and was delighted to be asked to review the new book in the series, The Last Fall.
In this book it focuses more on Octavio and is told in his point of view, although all of the much loved characters and some of the not so nice ones from previous books are in it.
I was hoping that this book would be along the same lines as the other books and I was not disappointed, I love the organization stuff, the dangerous situations, the shocks and twists and turns that appear throughout the book.
I didn't know much about Octavio or Tavvy as we know him by up until this book and therefore and so pleased that Jusy Serrano included his side of things, I felt I got to know him on a whole new level. Although he does fall in love way to easily, which causes some problems.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would recommend this series to anyone that wants a change to their usual genres. Judy Serrano pens a fantastic addition to the series and as it was left on a cliff hanger I am sure there will be another book soon.
I have been waiting for this book for a long time. I’ve read this entire series so far. At first it took me a bit to remember all the characters and the past events. A lot happens in these books. I feel like I’m a part of the Montiago family. I’ve loved watching them all grow and escape near death situations over and over again. In this book Junior and Tavy or Octavio are all grown up. They grew up in the organization and don’t know any other way of life. Their way of life is a dangerous one though. This is an organization that passes women around like play things and revenge ends in death. Octavio is finally ready to settle down and be in a serious committed relationship. The problem is the woman he falls for just so happens to be a cop! Cop + mobsters = disaster. This was a fast based story that I read in a day. There is always a cliff hanger at the end that makes you want the next book immediately. I can’t wait for book 7. I received this book for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.
