Chastity Falls Academy is supposed to be her fresh start; her salvation. And when Ana meets mysterious Jackson, she begins to think it is. She hasn’t smiled in almost sixteen months; not since the night her life changed forever, and despite her guilt…her loyalty, Ana can’t deny that Jackson is breathing life back into her. With Jackson by her side, Ana wants to believe she can heal and move on. But she isn’t the only one living a lie, and the small private Academy has secrets of its own. All is not what it seems, and Ana is about to find herself in a tangled web of lies; fighting for survival, again.
Loyalties will be tested, lies will be told. Salvation will be earned, secrets will be unveiled. Tribulations will be overcome, truths will be revealed.

"You're not just some crush or phase. You.Are.It.My salvation"
summing up, all three books from Loyalties and lies,Salvation and secrets to Tribulation and truths I loved L.A Cottons ability to draw the reader into the plot right along with the characters, her writing is descriptive, the plot well balanced from drama and angst to the clam before each storm, I loved all three books and was very happy with the final outcome.
Based around a college setting with a mafia feel to everything that took place, I loved the excitement of it all and the build up. The hold the Donahue family had on the town, the secrets, control and power that Marcus had in his hands and Jackson's desperation to be free from it all, be free from the role as foot soldier first at the hands of Braiden the son in the Donaghue family and then his father Marcus.
Jackson and Anna go through many trials and as the plot progresses Jackson also goes on a mission to find the truth about his fathers death and his ultimate goal to be with Anna with no more secrets.
Told in dual pov's, this isn't a hot read if your looking for that, yes it does have intimate moments but Jackson and Ana's story was more likened to Romeo and Juliette, two people who were meant to be but having to keep secrets to be together, hide their love and then fight to be who they were meant to be which is free to love each other in the open.
It all started with Shakespeare. "The course of true love never did ruin smooth"
A recommended trilogy with brilliant characters, suspense and a great plot. This isn't your average college romance, this is so much more.
I was lucky enough to be given a chance to read this box set in return for an honest review.
Firstly I just want to say WOW and what the heck took me so long to sink my teeth into these books?! My friend had read them a while ago and told me I needed to read them and I really should have listened then.
Where to start...
These books are simply amazing. I was immediately hooked from the first few pages. Lianne's writing drew me in instantly and I lost myself in her words easily. I loved the stories progression and because all three books are in this one box set it meant that I didn't have to put it down and could read it all in one go, which I loved. The detail in Lianne's writing meant that everything was easy to picture and I was able to create the story in my mind with ease and with all that was going on in the stories she made everything so easy to follow.
In Loyalty and Lies you are introduced to the world of Chastity Falls Academy and its students. We meet Savanah 'Ana' as she makes her new start after moving across state to try and escape her past. I absolutely adored Ana. For all of her self confessed flaws and her self doubt, she is a character that is completely identifiable and easy to fall in love with. From the beginning you are routing for her and wanting to see her push herself and succeed. Enter Jackson, ladies Lianne will have you falling in love with him over and over again. Its clear from when you first meet him he has secrets and you eagerly want to find out what the are. The supporting characters in the book feel just as important as Ana and Jackson. I loved her room mate Elena even if she is a little bit loco, but then aren't we all in our own way! Jackson and Elena help to break down Ana's walls and help her to start healing from the pain and guilt she carries around with her. Unfortunately for Ana life isn't as easy as it sometimes should be, especially when captain of the football team Braiden and his sister Briony make it their life's mission to make Ana's life hell and that only makes life more difficult for Ana and Jackson as after the death of his father, Marcus Donahue his fathers best friend and Braiden and Briony's father, takes Jackson in as a son and he is very much part of the family. The story is packed full of drama, angst and love, it will have you feeling like you can't devour the words quick enough. If I haven't made it clear enough, Lianne will have you falling in love with her characters, her story and with her! We end on a cliffhanger, thank god it's a box set *phew*.
In Salvation and Secrets we pick up right where we left off in Loyalty and Lies, which is perfect because you need to find out what happened next. Ana returns barely able to keep it together and breaking a little more every time she see's Jackson. Her struggles are real and you feel it with every word Lianne has written. She retreats back into her shell and old coping mechanisms start to surface dragging her back to the darkness she was freeing herself from. The love these two share can not be ignored, especially by them, but with so much threatening to keep them apart can they survive? Will they make it? You will be kept hooked while you find out. With secrets not staying secret and Ana digging into the Donahue's past, its a dangerous path to walk. Jackson makes my heart melt in this book when he decides what he actually wants and that he is going to fight for it. Again the secondary characters are amazing especially as their bonds are tighter and they are more involved with the story and each other. Its like a intricate web, we get pulled deeper into the dark world of the Donahue's and all that surrounds them. You will get caught and you will love every second of it.
Finally (for now) we have Tribulation and Truths. Again we follow straight on, thank god! This book is the darkest of the three as Jackson has learnt of Marcus's involvement in his fathers death and is out for revenge. The problem comes when it drags him and Ana deeper into a world neither of them want to be a part of. This book for me was all about truth and the lengths Jackson and Ana have to go to get them, the darkness they face and all that is ready to destroy them along the way. I needed the words in this book like I needed to breathe, I needed to find out what was in store for not just Ana and Jackson but for everyone. I was so lost in Lianne's words and what was unfolding in front of me that nothing else seemed to matter. I could tell you how strong the storyline is or how epic the characters are or that you will absolutely adore Lianne's writing but by this point you will be as hooked as I was and won't need me to tell you how much you need to read this book.
I'm grateful to have had the chance to read these books and can't wait for the next book to sink my teeth into!
Savanah has been in hell, she is barely existing even now. All she wants to do is concentrate on her classes and hide in between, with a shared room that is just not going to work. Jackson lost his father to murder, the details are a mystery but tied somehow to a family with a reputation, a family that insisted on him living with them. This story is full of questions that only a few get answered, there is mystery and a lot of angst. The feelings of these young college kids are high and very deep no matter which direction they go. Secrets, yes loads of them. You know something big is going to happen at some point but when? I was torn with this story, I loved Jackson and Savanah but Braiden and the families not so much. I am not a lover of rich people who think they own everything and everyone, who push and dictate almost down to what underwear you can wear and this is how I felt with him. The suspense certainly kept me enthralled and I was anticipating something happening, but I got to the end with only some smaller incidents. This story carries on in the next book, which I one clicked I am just hoping that though this is a 5 book series this isn't going to happen with every book I may run out of patience. It is well written and has a great flow and consistency but a story can only stretch so far and have so many ups and downs before it loses my interest, so I hope I get some ending in book 2 that gives me the incentive to want to continue onto the other 3
Ok I am now hooked and have bought the box set, even though I had the first two books as it worked out cheaper. The suspense continues to build and we gradually get some answers to all the mysterious secrets. The angst continues for both Jackson and Savanah be they together or apart, but trouble and threats surround both. Intense emotions seem to be the name of the game throughout these books, at times you almost feel like you've got whiplash with all the flashing back and forth with these character groups, not in a bad way. I am still not keen on Braiden and his blood family or the other rich own it all family, but I guess without them there wouldn't be a story. This is a bit like a roller coaster, full of ups, downs, twists and turns to keep you gripped and needing to complete the series to get all the answers to the mysteries.
Intense, Secretive and suspenseful. This is still full of secrets and angst, every time one question gets answered so more pop up. The relationship is strained because of all that's going on, at times you wonder if they will be strong enough to survive. I am completely hooked now on this series, I wasn't sure if this story could comfortably stretch into five books plus a couple of novellas but somehow it works. I thought it would get boring or tedious and I would not want to finish, but instead I am now starting book four. The twists and turns make me a little dizzy sometimes but this becomes compelling reading. It is well written and though these are college kids they do at times seem much more adult, I guess due to all the goings on. Great reading but you do need to read all the books and in order, they are not stand alone and each follows on from the previous book.
We switch characters in this forth book, Braiden has served his time and is now being released. He has changed during his time inside, now he just wants to live his life and hopefully make up for the bad. As with all these books it isn't straight forward, there are still more secrets and lies to cause angst and mayhem. It is intense and emotional at times and there is some violence. It also contains some suspense. Well written and interesting, I didn't like Braiden in the early books, he was to up himself and cocksure, thinking money and his name were everything. Jail has smoothed some of that and being left there by his father has left some bitterness and he is not as loyal to the name or family anymore. A new character adds some sparks, a pleasant freshness and even more mystery.
Just when everything is going well and they are settled into their new lives and future so a spanner is thrown in the works and their past joins the present. Turmoil and turbulence a plenty in this book, threats abound, worry and strain throughout this intense story. Most questions are by now answered and mysteries solved so this is mainly tying up the odd thing left unfinished. This has been a real emotional and angsty ride but worth it.
FANTASTIC Box Set! Worth reading and losing sleep over.
LOYALTY & LIES- I don't read a lot of YA books but I gave Loyalty and Lies a chance and I was hooked. I enjoyed this book and it is a great beginning for a series. LA Cotton gives you just the right amount details and then leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat wanting more. I can't wait to read more of the series. I love the chemistry between Jackson and Savanah.
SALVATION & SECERTS- Salvation and Secrets is Book 2 of the Chastity Falls series. You definitely have to read Loyalty and Lies book one of the series first. Salvation and Secrets really test Jackson's relationship with everyone. Ana does some investigating while on summer break. She starts to put the puzzle together about Jackson's dad and Marcus Donohue. Can Jackson walk away from the Donohue family? Or will they allow Ana into their Circle?
OMG the series is just getting better and better. I had a hard time putting my Kindle down. I was completely engrossed throughout the whole book. I laughed, yelled, cringed and got teary-eyed. I can't wait to read the next book and see where things go for Jackson, Ana and Chastity Falls.
TRIBULATION & TRUTH - Tribulation and Truth is the third book in the Chasity Falls series. This is definitely not a standalone, you'll have to read Loyalty & Lies and Salvation & Secrets first. Jackson and Ana's story continues but it may not be the end. I took my time reading because I didn't want it to end. My heart hurt reading Tribulation and Truth. To feel the heartache that Jackson and Ana were going through. Their chemistry fell apart and even in the end it didn't seem to be that strong. Jackson may get the closure he needs but he pushes away everyone around him. I love this series and can't wait to read the next book. I hope Dennis will get to tell his story in the future.
REDEMPTION & REGRETS- The last instalment in the Chasity Falls series. I am happy but sad to send it end. The book is told in Jax, Ana, Braiden and Cara's POV. Penance & Promises is a quick read and L.A. did it justice. I loved this series! It was worth losing sleep over. Chasity Falls is a must read.
What happens when your past collides with your future and you thought you were safe.
This series captivated me; and for the last few weeks every spare moment has been spent reading the emotional coming of age story that lives and breathes inside this series of books....
There are moments when I was truly moved as the characters deal with a myriad of emotions... the raw effects of bereavement and the devastating effects of guilt, bullying and lack of self worth... but before you switch off thinking this is too heavy, let me just say that although there is all the angst and drama associated with the young adult genre this is also an uplifting story of loyalty, friendship and love...and as serious as it gets there are also some great moments of humour providing light relief..
The author’s world building provides a detailed and realistic backdrop to the events that take place; there is an underlying menace at times that provides enough edge to make the reader question everyones role and motive..as the story progresses so do the characters...their emotional intelligence grows as they gain a greater understanding of their world, their place within it and their impact on those around them..whether their intents are for good or bad they are fascinating and worth getting to know.
The books are so aptly named as the characters deal with secrets, lies and tribulations and seek to do penance and make promises in order to find their own brand of salvation and a happy ever after....
This series drew me in and gripped me until the very last page.....an addictive 5 star series......this series was reviewed for Summer's Eve Reads
Ultimate Book binge today whilst reading L.A. Cotton's Chastity Falls series. I am so glad I waited for the anthology to be released, I don't think I could have waited in between the release dates for all 3 having read the first instalment of Ana and Jax's book I fell in love with the characters and just couldn't put the book down.
This book had it all gang war fare, Mafia, football and star crossed lovers. There was so much about it that I enjoyed from Jackson 'Jax' Pierce's character, the brooding Linebacker for the Fallen struggling with his loyalty to his adopted family and wanting to escape the family buisness. My favourite character in the book though was Elena she captured my heart with her unwavering support of Savanah 'Ana' Parry, whilst she came to terms with her loss of family and coming back to life.
5 stars for this anthology by L.A. Cotten I can't wait to hear more from the Fallen and Ana and Jax. The next book in the series is out soon Redemption and Regret - its Braiden's story and I'm torn, he plays a big part in this Chastity Falls anthology but he's not the most likeable character. If I like Braiden's by the end will it mean that I have let Jax and Ana down?
I absolutely loved reading Loyalty and Lies. L.A. Cotton definitely knows how to write YA college drama as this book had me hooked from the beginning and unable to put my kindle down.
My heart hurts for Ana. She arrives in Chastity Falls trying to escape a past that is haunting her. I loved how the author wrote Ana’s story in this book and I look forward to seeing what happens next following the recent developments in her relationship with Jackson.
I must admit that Jackson intrigues me. I can’t quite work him out as I feel he has been under the influence of the Donohue family for far too long. I hate what happened at the end of this book, but I’m hoping that he will redeem himself and do what is right for both himself and Ana.
The supporting characters in this book are perfect for the story and being in their company added to my enjoyment immensely. I’m certain I’ll see more of them all as I continue reading the series, which excites me!
This book was a definite page turner. I loved the twists and turns and the secrets in the story that kept the suspense and drama going throughout. I felt that the author described the scenes very well indeed, enabling me to picture everything in my mind, which I loved.
Loyalty and Lies is a great start to what I feel will be a must-read series. I know that I must read the next book which is Salvation and Secrets, as I am desperate to discover what happens next!
Salvation and Secrets -⭐⭐⭐⭐
This second book in the Chastity Falls series continues Jackson and Ana’s story and it is so important that you read Loyalty and Lies first. I am absolutely loving this series. In fact, I have struggled to put my kindle down so far!
In this instalment we see more of Jackson and the Donohue family and the influence that they have on him. The issues between Chastity Falls and Reibeckitt step up a notch too. There were times I was sat on the edge of my seat waiting for the inevitable to happen but not quite certain how scenes were going to play out. I couldn’t help feel for Ana who once again had to try to come to terms with more heartbreak, but thankfully she has some amazing friends who were there giving their support and I especially wanted to praise Paul for the part he plays.
There are lots of twists and turns in this story. My only niggle is that at times I wished for a faster pace. However, when the storyline was fresh and exciting I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough – which I absolutely loved. Salvation and Secrets has ended when life is just about to change for Jackson and Ana, and I cannot wait to see how their journey concludes.
Tribulation and Truths -⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I absolutely loved Tribulation and Truths. The conclusion to Jackson and Ana’s story was gripping and a real page turner from start to finish.
Jackson and Ana’s journey takes an unexpected path in this book and even though I expect a romance story to end with a happy ever after, the twists and turns had me wondering if that wasn’t going to be the case for this couple. In order for you to find out if I was right to be concerned, then you must read this for yourself! I am certain that you will not be disappointed.
I felt for Jackson in this instalment. He had a need to find out the truth about something personal to him and act on any findings but he also had to protect Ana as best as he could, and not knowing who they could ultimately trust made that quite difficult at times. Plus, I also worried that he was distracted by events that were happening. Ana didn’t have it easy in this book either - what she went through made me admire her commitment to Jackson even more. I did often remind myself just how young this couple are, and how it felt to be in love at that age!!
I am quite sad that my time with Jackson and Ana has come to an end BUT there is so much more in this series that I can look forward to reading. Braiden’s story is next, and this is one I cannot wait to read!
Affliction - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed catching up with the characters from L.A. Cotton’s Chastity Falls series. This spin off novella is Dennis and Cassie’s story and I loved witnessing them together. I hope to see more of them as I continue to read this series.
A well written short story that kept me engaged throughout.
Redemption and Regrets - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love it when an author can completely change my mind about a character and L.A. Cotton certainly managed this with Braiden.
Redemption and Regrets is the perfect title for this narrative. It’s another fabulous story in this must-read series
4-4.5 stars
Penance and Promises -⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Once again, the title for this story is absolutely perfect. Penance and Promises is a story about forgiveness, love and moving forward. However, throughout this intense story, uncertainty plays a big part of this storyline as threats cause worry and strain. I found the author penned the emotions of each character incredibly well. I completely understood their hurt, anger, fear and protectiveness.
This narrative is told perfectly via the use of multi POVs. It has been fabulous to catch up with all that is happening. Penance and Promises is a fabulous addition to this must-read series and I highly recommend it to you to read.
Absolution - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am thrilled that the author gave us more of Dennis and Cassie’s story. Dennis is a close friend of Jackson and Ana so he has featured throughout their story. We learn of the romance between him and Cassie in Affliction then Absolution continues their journey and it also closes the series perfectly.
I love a second chance romance and Absolution definitely hits all the right spots! Two fabulous protagonists, great supporting characters, and a captivating and engaging plot ending with a heartwarming HEA.
Another brilliant read by the very talented L.A. Cotton.
It took me a while to get into this boxset but once I did I was hooked. I'm guessing I was impatient to all of Jackson's secrets n wat it was that held him back from being with Ana. From the start it's clear who the good guys n bad guys are. A lot of angst in Jackson n Ana's relationship but despite everything they come up against their love n devotion shines through until an old enemy is about to make a reappearance throwing everything back up in the air. I'm looking forward to the next instalment from Lianne
Loyalty and Lies by L.A. Cotton: This book. Wow! The suspense, tragedy, and sexual tension was out of this world. I had to stay up late so I could finish this book. It was an intense page-turner that had me intrigued all the way to the end.
Salvations and Secrets by L.A. Cotton: The second book in the Chatham Hills series was just as intense as the first one. The emotional ups-and-downs that you experience leave you with whiplash. Ana shows her strength with the looks she receives on campus and the crazy emotions she experiences with Jackson’s hot-and-cold stares. Jackson's past tension and mystery cause high anxiety and apprehension about what the future holds for him and Ana. Another great must-read by L.A. Cotton. Tribulations and Truths by L.A. Cotton: For the third book in the Chatham Hills series, I loved and hated this book. It still brought mystery and intrigue. I loved seeing Ana branch out and develop special relationships with new friends, like Dennis. Jackson frustrated me in this book. He kept everyone at arm’s length. However, when he expressed himself and his thoughts, he always felt better but continued to keep everything inside. Not putting his trust in Ana became frustrating. I wanted to smack some sense in the guy. The strongest men are the ones who have loved ones for them to lean on. Jackson didn’t take advantage of that special bond he had with others and tried to do everything independently. After all, inquiries are answered, you get a feeling of completion at the end of this book. A great series that has suspense, love, and intrigue.
Chastity Falls: The Complete Series by L.A.Cotton.
The complete box includes: Loyalty and Lies, Salvation and Secrets, Tribulation and Truths, Redemption and Regrets, and the novella Penance and Promises.
Highly recommended if you love YA with some angst, mystery, and forbidden romance. They are all filled with drama and love, family and friends.
"You're not just some crush of phase. You. Are. It. My salvation."
