Pretending she was mine seemed so harmless in the beginning...
When Carrie is left reeling after the incident at the club, she can't help but second guess whether she's made the right decision.
But as it turns out, being Ben's date to Will and Ella's wedding is the most fun she's had in ages.
It's the morning after that doesn't go according to plan...

This book was my favourite book in the series, because in this book they finally get together.
The main characters in this book are the same as in the other two, Carrie and Ben. After offering and accepting the deal Carrie very much becomes part of his job, finally helping put together the club and meeting his family. In this book the two really hit it off at the wedding enjoying all the perks that come with the deal and come together in the way readers have been wanting for the whole series so far. But then Carrie meets a familiar face at the wedding not only is Ben's mother familiar but her date.
The secondary characters are the same as in other books and to be honest I would very much like to read about them so I have bought the first book in the Tempted series which I'm looking forward to reading.
The storyline isn't completely original although the twist is a fairly original one. The pacing was again good and it ended on another cliffhanger.
I received this book as an arc copy for an honest review and oh my goodness.... This book had me laughing, excited, curious and even something I hadn't expected, gasping-mouth dropping shock. This is a must read series and I can't wait to find out what happens next!
Yet again, Hazel Kelly has grabbed my attention, and anxious for book for in the Club Abbott series. Pretty sure I actually sat up and exclaimed "what the" on the last page.
Each part of the 'Club Abbott" series was so short that I am going to review the series as a whole.
This series is a spin-off from Ellie and Will's story (which I did not read) but I did enjoy getting to know them in the context of this story. Carrie and Ben were both likable. They had their flaws and overall came through as realistic and whole characters. Ben goes after what he wants and usually gets his way and Carrie gets lost overthinking things, but her thought process makes sense for her character and the things she has been through. Overall the story was funny, sexy and exciting. Christophe, Nora and Woody were interesting side characters and I wanted more of them (especially Nora!). One thing I did notice that I found a little off putting is the timeline. Will mentions Ellie is planning a big event for "this winter" but there is no context as for where we are. Is it October? November? Then all of aa sudden their event is upon us. Then Ben wants to open his club New Year's eve, as the reader, I understood this caused some time constraints, but I had no idea how long it was (I do realize this is a strange thing to get stuck on, but it nagged at me). As for the story being told in five parts, I understood from a business standpoint what was being done here but felt it was unnecessary. Each part was so short I was able to get through the entire series relatively quickly and it was annoying to have to stop, load the next part to my Kindle, and continue. Also, I got part one for free (bookbub email notification) and based on its length, I would not have paid for the next installment. I only continued the series because it was on Kindle Unlimited.

The Wedding is the third novella in the Club Abbott series, written by author Hazel Kelly. So you’re aware, this series has a continuous storyline. Therefore, you’ll need to read the books in order. Oh, and since this is only the third one, be prepared for it to end with another cliffhanger. Oh, and it’s a doozy!
The Wedding picks up where we left off with Carrie thinking about Ben and the time they spent together. Carrie realizes how much fun she’s having with him, but she has to remind herself that their relationship is fake. But is it?
Ben understands that Carrie just got out of a serious relationship. So, he doesn’t want to push her too early, even though their chemistry is off the charts. When he did talk to her about their arrangement, I was happy that he finally told her the truth.
I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
This is the third book in this series. Ben asks Carrie to be his plus one in his father's wedding. Their chemistry is off the charts. And Carrie starts to think that maybe she is ready to move on with her love life. And just maybe, Ben is the perfect candidate to do so. But after that, I was shocked to the extreme. What was that?? Hazel Kelly connects all the pieces in this story in a way that you won't see coming. That's for sure. I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
While it’s sort of weird that Carrie was asked to be part of that day; it’s great that everyone is hitting it off so well. I’d like to say it’s super unrealistic but I think things like that truly happen occasionally. Ella seems like a fantastic person and it seems like she makes Will a better man. Ben takes after Will a lot in so many ways I think. The steamy scenes were so tantalizing I was getting a little jealous! Major cliffhanger and omg moment at the very end!!!
That cliffhanger ending was the best, never saw it coming. It makes the reader download the next book fast. I love the chemistry between Carrie and Ben, they are perfect for each other.
Carrie & Ben are still pretending to be a couple, but they both feel more for each other but haven't told each other. Ben is getting his club sorted, but still hasn't got the name he wants!
Carrie seems to be completely all over the place considering that when she went to view Ben's property for his club that they ending up sleeping together, she wasn't used to this at all considering that she was now newly single. Also the fact that she had agreed to be Ben's fake girlfriend just to show his dad that he can be responsible she honestly has no idea what she has let herself in for. Even though she knows deep down inside that she shouldn't have slept with him she honestly can't help the fact that she liked it way more than she was expecting to, plus she can't seem to get their whole encounter out of her mind.
Ben's connection with his dad Will is starting to get a lot better and even though they have their banter Ben is quite happy with how everything is turning out even though he still refuses to speak to his mother. When Will mentions that he should speak to his mother has been hounding his inbox constantly just because Ben refuses to speak her, he is not exactly happy because he thought by now she would have taken the hint but obviously not. Will is pretty impressed by the fact that Ben has a girlfriend and when he casually brings it up Ben honestly couldn't be more proud of Carrie and he is shocked that his dad approves of her.
Carrie is shocked when Ella asks to meet up with her as she wants her help to plan her wedding even though it's in two weeks but as they are talking ideas and all Carrie gets the biggest shock when Ella asks her if she wouldn't mind being a bridesmaid for her considering one of her friends can't be there to do it. After a bit of persuasion Carrie agrees to it and is happy for a chance to learn a bit more about Ben so when Ella accidently mentions that he's been through what she has considering when he was over in England he had a girlfriend that cheated on him and the fact that she is the first girl that Ben has taken seriously since then is a massive step for him. Carrie can hardly believe what's being told but she keeps it at her heart.
Carrie seems to be getting into doing all the designing for Ben's club and she is loving all the ideas that she is coming up with for it, so when Ben does decide to surprise her at work she is even more happy even though she is struggling to keep everything professional. So when Ben takes her to get her fitted for her bridesmaids dress she can't keep the tears back as she was really looking forward to when she was going to get married herself but now that she isn't it's all a bit much for her. Ben seems to notice the discomfort in her eyes and this is where they both seem to connect more than they realise, it means a lot to Carrie as they both share such an intimate moment.
It's the day of Will's and Ella's wedding and even though Carrie is part of the wedding now as being a bridesmaid, will both Ben and Carrie be able to pull off their fake relationship or will they get more than they bargained for. Also how will Carrie react when she meets Ben's mother, will it be a memorable moment or one that everyone wishes they could forget.
Trust me when I say that every time I read a book in this series, it's amazing. The story is so deep and meaningful, you really should give it a try as you will be glad that you did. Those of you that are Hazel Kelly fans, you already know how good her books are so if you haven't read this series yet you are seriously missing out.
I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Definitely a shocker!!!! Out of the 3 so far in this series this was probably my favorite. To say a major cliffhanger is an understatement. The end of this book will leave with only two feelings: firstly omg omg omg omg you have got to be kidding me and secondly is the second book out yet? HK definitely will leave you hanging with this book but what a phenomenal way to keep the story going. I love how Carrie and Ben are getting closer and really enjoying themselves although it's technically a "fake" relationship. Ben and Carrie both have really strong feelings for the other and why they don't just go ahead a lay all their cards out is beyond me. I really dislike Ben's mom: firstly because of her cheating on her husband to begin with because a cheater is pathetic and someone I can't stand. To know someone cheated on someone makes me sick too like Ben....I have been there myself and secondly to know she would do that to someone supposedly happy is even more sickening it don't matter what Simon was thinking she should have stood her ground and said He must break up with her first before I pursue a relationship with You once she found out. Carrie needs to realize Ben had nothing to do with it or at least let him tell her that. I could understand it being difficult to be around his mother but she could just avoid them like the plague just as Ben is doing by pretty much wanting to disown her and never speak to her again. I loved the theme of the wedding of Will and Ella. Love the whole winter wonderland theme....really sweet and romantic. I am excited for book 4 to be released to see how Ben handles his mom and Simon and what happens next.
This cliffhanger… I didn’t see it coming… but I really like it! =D
It’s definitely my favourite series so far. I think it’s because it’s mixing 2 great histories and has such a great characters.
I’m loving to follow the fondness that it’s being built between Ella and Carrie and can’t wait to see what’s is coming. Oh, and I LOVED to see Will and Ellas’ wedding. Lots of love in this book.
In every line you read you will fall in love with Ben a little more. He is great and his sharp perception about fidelity puts me at easy about how he is going to make Carrie happy, but I’m really anxious to discover how Ben will deal with the fact of his mother being involved in another shameful history, just at the moment he is starting to think about giving his mother another chance - though he didn’t forgive her yet.
I didn't se that one coming! I can't believe that Hazel Kelly did it again. I almost loved this books ending, as much as I hate the it, because I want to know want happens next. Can Carrie overlook "who his mother is"? Do Carrie think Ben knows it was his mother who Simon cheated with? And do Carrie think that is the reason that Ben is not speaking to his mom?
And can their love overcome this? Carrie knows she is in love with Ben, but when does Ben realise his feelings for Carrie?
I just loved Hazel Kellys stories, I've read then All, and every story/series has me hooked. I just read and read til I'am finish, and I hate it when I have to wait to the next book it released. I can't wait to read book 4.
I was given an ARC of this book to write an honest review of this book.
When I think I cannot get any more engrossed, I am proven wrong.... Such a detailed and captivating story, I was devouring every page eager to see how Ben and Carrie's story would develop. I couldn't believe how intertwined everything becomes at the end of the book. To say I am on the edge of my seat in anticipation of Book 4 would be a complete understatement.Keep them coming Ms. Kelly!!!!
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review! This book is concentrated around Will Abbott's wedding as Carrie becomes more involved with it and Ben. Things are going well for both of them, they are both struggling with their feelings over this fake relationship. I'm not going to give it away, but the ending will have you dropping your jaw and saying Oh. My. God! I certainly cannot wait until the next one.
Carrie has agreed to be Ben's pretend girlfriend at his dad's wedding. She's only doing it to keep a client happy....Isn't she? Ben can't stop thinking of Carrie but how far can he push her before pretend becomes real. Are they both falling for each other but both denying it......Too soon, rebound. I'm looking forward to the next book in the Club Abbott series
This is a cliff hanger book, Carrie was invited to Bens dad's wedding only to become a bridesmaid and on top be Bens pretend girlfriend. It was a perfect wedding until the next morning when she meets Bens mum for the first time only to see her ex beside her!!!! Omg what will happen next for Ben and Carrie? I so can't wait now for the next book
Carrie and Ben were having a great time pretending. They talked about what their future would look like even if it was pretending. But they were happy until they saw somebody that made it all come crashing down. Find out what happens...
Keeps getting better and better. Ben and Carrie, love them. I have to say I totally had a "HOLY SHIT" moment at the end of this book. Jumping into book 4 because I can't wait to see what happens next.
Well that was an awesome way to end the wedding! I love the chemistry between these two. Seriously! That are made for each other if only they would see it and take the leap! Of course I knew that wasn't the end of Simon so here we go! Truly this series has sucked me in!
