Aviv is an Israeli pilot; Ibrahim is an Arab freedom fighter. Two men on opposing sides in a decades-long conflict, which is no closer to resolution for all those years of fighting and thousands of people dead.
As their lives unfold from their births at the end of World War Two into a future not yet come to pass, they witness some of the real horrors of war and terrorism which have beset Israel and Palestine since the war in 1948.
Now though, a threat to the region more frightening than either of them have imagined turns its eyes towards them. It has one goal in mind, the creation of a world controlled by brutality and ruled by fear.
For Aviv and Ibrahim, old differences now seem like nothing in the face of the evil approaching across the desert from the east.
