A stolen identity. A hidden power. One summer changes everything.
This Box Set contains the first three novels in The Emerald Series.
Waterborn
Caris Harper lives a charmed life. Literally. When her dad offers to take her to the Emerald Coast of Florida for summer vacation, Caris jumps at the chance. But from the first moment the wind caresses her face and the sun touches her skin, the charm begins to fade, revealing a girl Caris never knew existed. The long-buried Song that awakens is only the beginning of a transformation that will challenge her ideas about loyalty and family.
Noah Jacobs is a waterbreather—a species of human fully adaptable to life in the water. Like his older brother Jamie, Noah wants to prove they can use their abilities and be heroes in service to their country. When a simple mission goes wrong and Jamie goes missing, Noah exiles himself to the Deep in a desperate search. MIA is a classification Noah is not ready to accept. But instinct can’t be ignored. Not when he hears her Song. Caris is not what he expects and Noah is determined to get her out of his head. Instead he finds himself acting as her mentor and the more time they spend together, the more Noah realizes he just wants Caris.
When a startling truth threatens their newly formed trust, Noah straddles the line between love and obsession while Caris struggles to find a balance between the girl she thought she was and the young woman she wants to be.
Waterdreamer
Caris Harper is determined not to let a little thing like discovering she’s another species of human ruin her senior year of high school. But her quest for ordinary is thwarted by haunting dreams and the storms they invoke; an out-of-control power too seductive for comfort and much too dangerous. As her bond with Noah deepens, new problems ignite. For Caris, the mere thought of Noah can conjure a thunderstorm. One touch from him can send the sky into chaos.
Watermark
After tragic events robbed her of the love of her young life and the baby she carried, eighteen-year-old Erin Shaw is ready to move on. Erin has something to prove, not to anyone else, but to herself. Focused on volleyball and grades, Erin’s goal is to get through senior year of high school and then she’s shaking off her coastal town along with the smells and sounds of the ocean that act as constant reminders of what will never be.
The one thing Erin isn’t interested in is a boy. She’s been down that road and it ended in heartbreak. But when Erin bumps into Michael Bray, the local basketball hero—who’s one part geek and one part jock—it’s all she can do to resist his understated charm. Their budding friendship quickly spirals into something deeper and after one kiss on a moonlit beach, Erin rediscovers something she thought she lost forever—hope.
Kimberly lives in Florida and spends her time riding her bike, walking on the beach, and writing. Wine and french fries are her favorites with a side of Cheez-Its. Extra Toasty only.
She sits at her computer a lot while her two labs stare at her.
Wow amazing books! I've reread them twice now. I also want hard copies. Maybe one day. I am so glad I already have the other books to the series. I'm starting them now.
Wow just finished the book and although I wasn't sure if I was going through the motions of just reading I ended up finding myself surprisingly drawn to the characters and emotionally tied to them. The characters have grown on me and in the last book I have to admit I liked the characters more than in the previous books. More to them more raw emotion. I ended up being caught by surprise at my emotions.
If you are looking for a break from the norm, give these a try. You'll be happy you immersed yourself in these Emerald waters, and like a true 'breather', you won't want to come back.
