Being an immigrant and having Afrikaans as a second language this was a nice easy book to read. My son had this book as a set work at school and I do try to read all his school set works if I have not already read them. This story brings up a lot of emotions that are so relevant for teenagers and proposes possible ways to deal with them. My son found it "boring" just as most teenagers would but still it was a fun read.

I read it within 2 hours for my school comprehension. Slang is outdated and gives a good laugh but overall language is good. Story is a bit iffy and I wouldn't read it of my own accord.

Daar is 'n Paris Hilton verwysing.

Fanie Viljoen se SPRING is in kenmerkende Viljoen-styl 'n goed geskrewe verhaal vir jonger lesers (laat laerskool, vroeg hoërskool).

In this tale for younger or reluctant readers, also accessible for second language learners, Viljoen portrays two friends who have to deal with the troubles of growing up. Their Youtube videos are hugely popular, especially when using mad ideas from their new pal Marco. But then things go seriously wrong. Readers will be captivated by the dramatic ending.
