Kätyrien omaa elokuvaa seuraa kätyrien oma sarjakuva. Keltaisten vipeltäjien arki on vaaroja täynnä, mutta niin on vapaa-aikakin. Luvassa on siis vauhtia, räjähdyksiä ja isompia räjähdyksiä, kun Itse ilkimys -elokuvista tutut hulvattomat kätyrit viilettävät kiperästä tilanteesta toiseen.

3 Banana STARS
Este libro no lo leí, ya que no tiene palabras. Tiene un formato como de comic bastante entretenido, no para mí, ya que a m mí ya me tienen cansada los minions, pero mi hija adora este libro.
Y por adora me refiero a que tiene una colección de más de 100 libro y aun así diario escoge ver este antes de dormir, y siempre lo quiere traer consigo cuando salimos de casa.
Creo que la belleza de este libro radica justamente en el hecho de que solo son imágenes sin nada especifico que decir, lo cual permite a los niños imaginarse la historia a su manera, todo radica en la creatividad de cada niño.
Además, también funciona muy bien para jugar el “I spy with my Little eye”.
En conclusión: Este es un libro que los niños disfrutaran mucho y que a nosotros los adultos nos provoca pereza.

Vuonna 2010 ilmestyneessä Itse Ilkimys -animaatiossa debytoineet Minionit eli suomeksi Kätyrit ovat nyt siirtyneet myös sarjakuvien pariin. Leffan tekijätiimiin kuulunut Didier Ah-Koon on käsikirjoittanut albumillisen keltaisten mölliäisten seikkailuja, joiden kuvituksesta vastaa belgialainen Renaud Collin.
Sarjakuvat ovat pituudeltaan yhden sivun mittaisia, pääasiallisesti sanattomia tuokiopaloja, jotka keskittyvät etupäässä laboratoriossa puurtamiseen ja pieniin käytännön jekkuihin (osa sivun mittaisista jutuista vaikuttaisi olevan suunnattu yhtä paljon työelämän kiemuroihin perehtyneelle aikuiselle kuin lapsille...)
Lapsilukijat ovat ilmeisesti ottaneet sarjakuvan innolla vastaan, mistä on varmaan kiittäminen aika pitkälti elokuvien suomaa vetoapua. Eivätkä nämä huonoja juttuja ole, vaikka omaperäisyyspisteitä ei voikaan suuresti jakaa.

It's minions...they have their own language...so they don't really talk...its basically a picture book lol. It was kinda funny.

This booklet, a 48-page comic book in English (from Titan Books in London) but a hardcover bande dessinée album in French, is a witty high-quality, full-color, glossy-paper collection of one-page pantomime gags, all written by Didier Ah-Koon and painted by Renaud Collin, featuring the little yellow, blue-jeans-wearing creatures from the movies "Despicable Me", "Despicable Me 2", and "Minions". They are not quite wordless because of the English-language signage in almost every one.
Unlike the movies, in which they are seen as desperate to become the minions of the baddest villain they can find, these minions are shown as self-sufficient in a vast underground hideout. Only the first and last pages showing the entrance to their subterranean lair are "in order". The other pages, all independent gags, could be placed in any order; and judging from the random page numbers (11 followed by 29 followed by 34 followed by 2), they have been. Each page is titled. In the 8-panel "Job Interview", a minion undergoes increasingly difficult and dangerous tests to be rewarded with the non-dangerous job of janitor. In the 4-panel "Electric Bicycle", a minion foreman tries to hook up the stationary bicycles in the minion's gym to a huge machine needing electric power. In the 6-panel "Perfect Target", one minion tries to shoot an apple off another's head with increasingly large weapons, leaving the target minion arrow-pierced and blown-up but the apple untouched. There are up to 12 panels a page. This is one of those "look closely to find everything in this scene" art gag books, apparently simple but full of detail. All of the minions, one-eyed or two, are anonymous; there are no Dave, Kevin, Stuart, or Bob here. Just bustling, nameless, very funny minions.

Kätyrit - 1. Banana! on Itse ilkimys ja Kätyrit -leffoista tutuista keltaisista, banaaneja rakastavista olennoista eli kätyreistä kertovan sarjakuvasarjan ensimmäinen osa. Didier Ah-Koon on ollut elokuvissa storyboard artistina, eli nämä vekkulit hahmot ovat hänellä hallussa.
Sarjakuva sopii parhaiten nuoremmille lukijoille, mutta kyllä aikuinenkin viihtyy teoksen parissa, sillä monessa yhden sivun sarjakuvassa huumorin miljöönä on työpaikka ja kätyreiden hieman erikoiset suhteet toisiinsa. Harmillisesti monet vitsit toistuvat pitkin albumia pienin varitaatioin, mutta nopealukuisena - tai silmäiltävänä, sillä kätyrit eivät juurikaan puhu - sen antaa teokselle anteeksi.

such an amazing book. the plot twists, the romance, the drama - all of it is all so entertaining and has me dropping my jaw at every move. the romance makes me kick my feet in the air and spin, it made me want to loop taylor swift's music over and over till i go to sleep with a smile on my face, pillow held up covering my expression of pure joy.

Byť jsou veškeré ty gagy na jedno brdo, tak i tak jde o s přehledem nejsnesitelnější (resp. jedinou snesitelnou) formu Mimoňů. Není tu totiž ta jejich ukvičená hatmatilka. A navíc to má výtečně zvolený styl kresby. Což nic nemění na tom, že to samozřejmě je výhradně pro děcka předškolního věku.

I have no idea what the Minions are or why they exist but some of the comics were clever and sometimes relatable but it's not anything different from what you would find in the Sunday paper.

Žlutí poskoci útočí
Úspěšné postavičky, které se poprvé představily ve filmu Já, padouch se dočkaly i komiksového zpracování. Je pod nimi podepsaná autorská dvojice Renaud Collin a Didier Ah-Koon a nenechte se mýlit – tohle není žádný přepis stejnojmenného filmu, který se letos objevil v kinech. Mimoni už v kratších snímcích ukázali, že dokáží pobavit a jejich popularita přerostla až do samostatného animáku. Oba tvůrci komiksu pracovali i na filmu, ale do své knihy použili situace zcela jiné, které nám mají spíše přiblížit běžný život hlavních protagonistů, přičemž samozřejmě nemůže chybět ani pověstná obsese banánem. Toto ovoce přichází na přetřes poměrně často i na stránkách komiksu a tvoří také podtitul prvního ze tří plánovaných dílů.
Tato komiksová kniha je plná jednoduchých, mnohdy ostře vypointovaných, jednostránkových stripů o radostech a strastech žlutých postaviček. Pochopitelně není jednoduché být zaměstnaný u zlého padoucha, o čemž se ze stránek knihy dozvídáme na každém kroku. Mimoňové bojují s vynálezy, zbraněmi, experimenty i kancelářskou nudou. Soupeří spolu navzájem, snaží se předvést a v podstatě mnohdy jsou zde karikaturovány ryze lidské vlastnosti, které parafrázují reálný svět. Většina příběhu jsou spíše krátké anekdoty z běžného života mimoňů, ale v jednoduchosti je, jak známo, síla.
Tento komiks není záležitostí pro náročné čtenáře, ale krátkou humornou oddechovkou, u níž se můžete libovolně zabavit. Kresba Renauda Collina je jednoduchá, barevná a skvěle se hodí pro tento typ komiksu, který je díky tomu přehledný a líbivý, přičemž zachovává přenesený vizuál filmových postaviček. Scénář Didiera Ah-Koona je prostší, ale dokáže nesčetněkrát pobavit. Většina jednotlivých „dílů“ je bez jakéhokoliv mluvení a komunikace se vyjadřuje obrazem, což je kromě ulehčeného překladu skvělé pro mladší čtenáře, kteří nemusí zápasit s horami filosofických textů či složitými dialogy. Kromě mladšího publika pak situační humor nejspíše ocení i dospělí, kterým to může až nápadně připomínat pracovní den či kanadské žertíky kolegů na pracovišti.
Stripy nejsou provázány žádným hlubším příběhem, ale jsou samostatné. Byť nedosahují kvalit a promyšlenosti např. Garfielda či Barta Simpsona, skvěle splňují svůj účel zábavy a dotvářejí mimoňovské univerzum. Na více než padesáti stranách kvalitního papíru se tedy můžeme příjemně rozveselit a odpočinout si. Není důvod v tomto komiksu hledat něco složitějšího než právě úmysl pobavit - a ten je zde zvládnutý na výbornou. Pokud nejste fanoušky mimoňů, máte příležitost se s nimi seznámit. Pokud je máte rádi, tento kousek vám nemůže chybět, protože (jak známo) když je milujete, není co řešit.

Hauskoja yhden tai aukeaman pituisia sarjakuvia kätyreistä sekä heidän touhuistaan. Tarinoita oli helppo tulkita, eikä kielitaitoa oikeastaan tarvita, sillä kätyrit puhuvat omaa epämääräistä kieltään.
Osa teemoista tai tarinoista toistui, mutta se on ymmärrettävää, sillä ei näillä pikku otuksilla oli elämässään muuta kuin pieni kiusanteko tai banaanit. Sopivaa luettavaa myös yhdessä toisen kanssa, varsinkin aukeaman kokoiset tarinat, joissa on paljon löydettävää.

This book is so adorable. This is one of those comics/ kids books that will keep anyone at any age level entertained. Children will laugh at the silliness. Adults will laugh at how relatable the situations are. The illustrations are amazing. I look forward to reading more books in Minions series.

Funny! This is a great read for little kids, there are very few words (minions are unintelligible) and the story is amusing. I think it will appeal to a range of kids, both boys and girls.

It was an ok book - wouldn't buy it from a store as its a very thin comic book with just drawings. Thank goodness for the library to satisfy my minion reading needs :)

My review: Minions Banana! is a great graphic novel with exciting illustrations. I liked that a lot of the language is in minion language so the students must look at the pictures and make inferences about what is happening.
1-2 Possible in-class uses: Minions Banana can be used during Writers Workshop because the students can write what they think the minions are talking about in the story. This allows the students to make inferences about the story and start writing dialog.

There is hardly any text in this book, but the pictures say it all. I love the illustrations of all the minions. It's quite funny, but some are just okay. All the comics aren't one big story. They are short stories kind of like snippets of the minion's world which is nice, but for me, I would have preferred one big story.

Minions Volume 1 Banana! I loved this book as it had alot of plot twist and was very indeepth about what the characters were up to in the story and how the story had a really big cliff hanger (spoilers) when bob decided to become the housekeeper and was cleaning but got kidnapped by el macho and was turn into the evil minion

This was laugh out loud funny! There are no words and every page is a new "story." It is a very short, easy, entertaining read and I highly recommend for a good laugh. And, come on, Gru's minions are the best!

I think that Minions Banana! is very funny and I like watching them run for their banana. The big plant is funny too.
