Promise Me #1-4

Promise Me

Rate this book
It was just one night. That’s all I had time for. I didn’t need a relationship. Just a quick escape from the demands of my high stress career. It wasn’t even on my radar until my eyes locked with his. Call me easy, but that was all it took. I gave in and I chose him to get me through the night.

The problem was, after that night, I couldn’t get him out of my mind. This wasn’t supposed to happen. I didn’t have time for a relationship. I was too busy with work. But one night quickly turned into two. Then three. And four. And when I learned some devastating news myself, I saw him for what he really was and knew that finding him was no accident.

Note from the author: This is your classic love story, dangling on the edge of romance. It is meant to make you laugh, cry and hug the ones you love.

OMG no words can truly describe this series except....WOW
Trent and Paige....just wow.
I bawled my eyes out .... Such a touching story even though it had a sad ending it touched me in ways I couldn't have imagined. The depth and passion that was wrote with those love scenes was phenomenal. The rawness had me in knots... (Good knots) .... This wasn't so much of a story as it was a testament that this is the way we should view our own lives... Have a bucket list... Fulfill your life to the upmost best of your ability one moment at a time.

Trent sees Paige in his bar one night and his world simply gets knocked off it's axis. He wants her and wants her bad.
Paige walks in this bar with her best friend and sees Trent and knew in that moment she wanted him. She had never felt so bold and never felt such a powerful "want" and knew she had to have him. With both of them having stressful busy jobs that consumes their lives they want one night....but that one night will forever change them. They have a connection from the beginning that has such a powerful pull that they simply can't stop what has begun. They begin to see more of each other and fall into a routine that as they say "could work for them both with their busy careers" but soon realize life simply has a mind all of it's own and things can always change in a heartbeat. They get thrown into a life changing world when Paige gets some extremely heart wrenching news that will forever change their outlook on life. This series brings forth a whole new meaning to life that we simply take for granted everyday and Paige makes everyone see that their is more to life and that we should all live life to it's fullest.
"I want to be the best of your bucket list, because you certainly are the best of mine." We all need live this motto......
A must read series....

One of the best books I have ever read. A 2016 top 25 favorite for sure.

I love the way these two people love each other

, I don't know how to really give a review without giving away the book . Trent is my new book boyfriend . He is kind gentle loving person and that's what made is an page's story so sweet . How do you move on from a love like that , how do you replace someone my Paige ? I don't think you really can . I'm not saying he should live the rest of his life alone but I don't think you can find another love like the one he had with Paige. I wish they had had more time together . I cried the entire last two chapters I was a mess . I want to Trent to have a happy ending I just wish it had been with more Paige... My statement or my wish will make sense when you read the book .

OMG So worth reading

I cried buckets reading this book. So well written. I felt like I knew Paige and Trent personally.
So sad but strangely so happy at the same time. Can't wait to read the next book about Trents HEA
which is what I'm going to do right now. Couldn't put this book down.

not a favorite. Too sad.

First, I quit about 75% in to read the last two chapters. Have a box or two of Kleenex ready. That’s why I went to the end, couldn’t take the sadness and trauma of a dragged out demise of this love story. Needs proofreading! Will read the next one and hope it is less sad. Okay, have really thought about this book and I think it is my issues with death that leave me unable to have skipped to finish it. It is a good story, just so sad and having lost too many loved ones in recent years, a very hard story to read. Another thing that authors shouldn’t do: write about medical issues they know little about. That’s all I am going to say! Probably better then my 3 stars, but it was so sad for me to read. Others may love this.

Amazing story...eye opener

This story it close to home with me...I’ve been told those words. Brain tumor, but we were the lucky ones. Our daughter is with us and doing well. Although I don’t think she’s living her life to the fullest. This story made me realize that. I’m going to help her change it. Live life to the fullest in honor of Paige and Trent! Thank you for the eye opener.

Sad, heartbreaking

I like happy ever after endings. I admit ,I expected a much more happy ending. Yes, that's life, but I can get sadness from the daily news. You are not a new author to me, I have read many of your books. Their love story broke my heart. They were so deeply in love. Her book that she left Trent was a beautiful touch to the story. I had to skip book 3, for now. I will come back to it. Interesting, but sad.

Definitely not what I expected! It was emotionally draining, and I kept hoping there would be a different outcome, but it never came. I was in tears at the end. Definitely a good story

Life is hard enough

Maybe I didn’t read the description correctly, but I don’t read romantic fiction for real life pain. Life is hard enough, is it really too much to ask for a happy ending?

I can truly say I loved everything about this book. Trent and Paige’s story is living , thought provoking and insightful. I laughed and then cried. I was distraught at the ending but also uplifted. Would I read it again? Absolutely

Made Me Cry

Sometimes you find an author that makes you feel what they write. This is one of those. Not the ending that I expected, but so well written.

Beautiful story. The love and selflessness Trent had for Paige to help her through her life shattering condition was unending. What a beautifully written love story.

Packed with emotion

This book is packed with lots of emotion. It has depth and character. Make sure to have a box of tissues handy, you'll need them. Personally I felt that the continual references that seemed to be on nearly every page, sometimes twice regarding her pending fate was distracting. All in all a externally good but emotional read.

Fantastic!

Wow what a book. I really enjoyed this book. I mean really enjoyed it. This book hit so many key points when someone is ill that you love so very much. Then it's so hard to say goodbye. Or if there was something that could of been done different.
I was so happy that Trent and Paige were able to spend a lot of there time together, before things came to an end. Great book. I recommend this set of books to all romance readers.

What a roller coaster of a series. I laughed and cried. And I don't cry

I was so moved by this book. It ripped my heart out while making me so believe in true love. Trent and Paige are so lovable and I wanted to make everything ok for them. At first I just thought they were so cute but the the story takes this giant leap and the reader is along for the ride. CJ Thomas just moved to the top of my favorite author list. Thank you for the wonderful book you wrote.

Kept me on the edge

I loved this book in that it kept me on the edge wanting to know what was going to happen next. The ending was unexpected, which is good in a way but it was sad and that is why I gave it 4 stars. If you want a fairytale ending this isn't it, however, I was intrigued all the way until the end and I loved that part.

Bucket list

Paige's life was all about designing and didn't allow love or much fun. But one night she met the bartender and instantly fell in love. But one day she was given news that everything she wanted to do someday would be shortened by months.

Promise to keep.

This book was awesome and I totally enjoyed reading it. I hated how it ended because they was really in love with each other. But to have loved once in a lifetime is better than not loving at all.

I liked this set from the get-go, but around the end of book three I had had enough. By then it was disheartening, and I really didn't see it getting happier, and the truth as, I wasn't willing to stick around anymore.
