There is a lot to read for the price, that is what prompted my purchase. It started good, struggled to keep my attention in the middle, and came back strong.
I purchased this book on Amazon for .99 cents that includes the below series of books.
Obsessed with Him - The writing was ok however it needs and editor and has other problems like at the ending of the book it says the uncle buys Colt out of the club when it was the other way around. Olivia was raised in foster care and is turned out of her group home when she turns 20. Looking for work and living in a women’s shelter she goes to audition as a stripper. She meets the owner of the club, Colt Cannon. During the audition things get intense between them and she runs out of his club. She is accosted by a couple of men on the street when she runs out with her shirt open in the front. Colt comes to her rescue and takes her home with him. This book also deals with cutting. She is desperately trying to find her foster boyfriend Declan and for working at Colts club he promises to find him for her. The whole book takes place in less than a week but has a 6-month in the future HEA ending. This book rates a 3 stars.
The Billionaire’s Fake Fiancé - The writing was good but needs a good editing! Skylar is running from an abusive boyfriend. She gets to Boston and is hired as a night janitor for Madden Cross. While working she sees him having sex on his desk with a woman and he sees her watching. He fires her however she can’t loose the job and begs him not to so he makes a proposition. She spend the weekend with him for 10k, she needs the money so accepts. During the weekend bad press breaks and Madden needs to divert the press so he decides to have it reported that they are engaged. This lets her boyfriend find her after she breaks it all off with Madden over his coolness. He saves her however after a few more days with him, he tells her he is no good for her and she leaves. He helps her get a job in Miami and after a few weeks he decides he can’t live with out her. This book rates 3.5 stars.
Club Alpha – I had a hard time with this series, its actually 2 series, books 1-7 are about Raven and Jake, a movie star. Books 8-13 are about Paige and Chase, a football player. You really have no clue when the first couple ends and the next one begins however Jake and Raven do show up at the end of book 13. Club alpha tricks women into being their employees once they meet their rich clients. After signing what they think is a non-disclosure, they are now their employees and the club tries to control them as well as their rich client. A mafia sort of organization. Raven and Jakes story is over the top, unrealistic, annoying, never ending drama. Started as a good 4 stars and ended at 2.5. Paige and Chases story was much more real and better written however both need a good editor! A 3.5 Star rating. This series may have worked when each book was read months apart so you could take the unending drama in smaller dosages, all together, not so much.
Naked – I had previously read this in the Hurt so Good (Twenty Book Alpha Romance bundle) I enjoyed the story of Elijah and Caelyn, he a “hot” low life criminal and she a college student who meet on the side of the highway when her car breaks down. She is running from a traumatic event in her life and he is running from a life he can’t get away from. They go through much worse being on the run together several different times, her recovery from a brain injury from a wreck, her family, his family and then the book suddenly wraps things up nice and neat with a bow on top!. He gets off scott free with a new chance at life. No conclusion to what happened to her sister, what he had been doing for 6 months while she went back to school, how he can get away from his family of criminals to move forward, etc. How she all of a sudden had a cell phone for him to call her after it was broken the day before, lots of editing problems in the book also but overall a good storyline. Good 3.5 Stars
Take Three - I chose not to read this book. Its only 44 pages long, a novella at most or is probably another series in the making. I try not to read anything less than 250 pages to get my monies worth.
Obsessed With Him (6 books) by Hannah Ford was easy to read with many dialogues. Olivia and Colts story didn't go deep but was okay. Olivia try's to get a job as stripper but Colt takes an interest in her. Colt is running a strip club together with his uncle, but he's uncle are up to some sketchy things that Colt don't agree with. There is hot scenes and action but I missed some more background of the male character. I didn't get the feeling I like to have when I read a book, the one where I disappear in it. 4 stars
The Billionaires Fake Fiancé (3 books) by Ella London. Madden is a cocky guy on the outside and he is disgusting when he "buy" Skylar and she accepts it because she is desperate for money (why is it always the girl that's poor?) Skylar is running from a crazy ex and accept the money so she can get farther away from him. But everything is not going as planned. The story is good and I loved the writing style, it's easy but filled with emotions. There are some great hot scenes. Still it's not enough for me to give it the best review, I give 4 stars.
The Dept (13 books) by Kelly Favor. Jake is a arrogant ass, I want to smack him. That was my first thought. He's a star in movies and singing and he wants Raven. Raven is being tricked in to signing papers under pressure and the troubles starts. The story was very good and the characters are well described. The writing style is to my liking so the book gets 4.5 stars from me. The second part of this series is about Faith and Chase. Faith is tricked in to a on-night stand with Chase whom is a star football player. But of course it gets to be more than one night. They both fall in love and the story is good. Chase had a tough childhood that the public don't know about and things get complicated as always in a book. The characters are well written and there's a lot of hot scenes. 4 stars
Naked (7 books) by Kelly Favor. Caely is running away from her ex but her car breaks down and Elijah gives her a ride and they connect. I think the story was a little all over the place. I got a feeling that the author wanted to put to much in the books at once. The characters are described a little superficial in my opinion but maybe others will disagree. In the end I just wanted to get threw the book. 3 stars
Take Three by Kelly Favor. This book is about three friends, Kylie, Lucas And Ben. Kylie has a crush on both man but it it isn't described well so I get the feeling she only loves Lucas in the beginning of the story. It's a sweet story about a two guys in love with one girl. Not to good described but it's okay for a short story. 3 stars.
I actually discovered one thing about my preferences while I read; I like when the books alternate between the two main characters because then I get a better insight in the relationship. That's what was missing in this book. I only got one main characters thoughts and feelings and that wasn't enough. Still this box-set is a 4 star read.
I would have given this 5 stars if the second to last story didn't leave me wanting to punch the main femaile character. I just didn't like Cayleyn and that's all there is to it. I've heard of doing really stupid things when you are in love but her decisions and actions were beyond stupid. The remaining stories were very well written and enjoyable.
Thirty books...wow! Each and every single one kept me going back for more. The stories are great and easy to follow. They are also a fast read when you don't have a lot of time. I'd recommend this set to anyone!
This book, although having some good stories, it was all the same. They all pretty much had the same basic story, just different characters. And the last "book", absolutely AWFUL!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
These series were so awesome and the authors are super!! These books are great and I strongly suggest they be read. One is about a strong marine,a strong football player, a bad boy turned good a billionaire with demons. All the alphas in these books are so hot!!!
These were so great books, and very, very interesting characters. You get your fill of every story and everything that happens in there lives. There's a lot of romance going on. I recommend these books to all romance readers.
This is an excellent set of books each being part of complete series,so you are not left needing to buy more books to complete the read. Each series is very good in its own way it is excellent value and most enjoyable.
Though it took me a while I got immense pleasure from the grind series. Each story had its own unique flavor and I enjoyed each and every one. I'm looking forward to reading more from these authors
