The information in this book is invaluable for anyone with COPD, or anyone assisting a family member who has COPD. The first 70 pages cover what COPD is, how it's diagnosed, and what it's like to have this chronic lung disease. The balance of the book covers the 10 steps program. Each step thoughtfully and informatively delves into crucial areas including: accepting the diagnosis, oxygen therapy, energy conservation, medication, pulmonary rehab, food and diet, exercise, and staying socially engaged.
Thank you to the author for providing a valuable resource to COPD patients and the loved ones who want to understand what they are experiencing and want to assist them.

This is very helpful. It has an amazing breathing exercise which can sure get my oxygen level up. It is called "pursed lip" breathing and is used when you breath out. I highly recommend using it.
I use this breathing method constantly now so I had to add another star!
