Picture a pre-school group dancing and singing along as the Topp Twins sing:
I'm a dingle-dangle scarecrow
with a flippy-floppy hat.
I can shake my hands like this
and shake my feet like that.”
Or joining in as the teacher reads this story, emphasising the differences between said, shouted very loud, whispered very soft, sang, loud remark, hollered, and yawn...
As night falls most farm animals rest. But not so the cats out mousing or the scarecrow. For him this is fun time, song and dance time.
The Topp Twins have created a delightful character which illustrator Jenny Cooper has brought to life in her full-page full-colour pictures. Her farm animals and birds are fully realised personalities too.

The pictures are wonderful and Miss 3 likes having the book read to her (as well as listening to the CD). We've read it many times!
