Yoshiki Takaya (Japanese: 高屋良樹, Hepburn: Takaya Yoshiki, born February 21, 1960) is a Japanese manga artist best known for creating the manga Guyver, which has been adapted into multiple anime features as well as live action films. Guyver was serialized in Monthly Shōnen Captain (published by Tokuma Shoten) for the lifetime of the magazine from February 18, 1985 to 1997. When Captain was cancelled, the manga moved to Shōnen Ace, published by Kadokawa Shoten, who also reprinted the collected volumes from the beginning. There are 31 tankōbon available.

Takaya began however as an hentai manga artist under the pen name Moriwo Chimi (ちみもりを; Chimi Moriwo), with several works printed in the adult manga magazine Lemon People, published by Kubo Shoten. The best known of these is Hades Project Zeorymer, which was adapted as a four episode original video animation by AIC. He also had stories published in the manga anthology series Petit Apple Pie under this pen name.

Again, a perfect blend of mystery, drama and action. Now with one of those cool characters with racing car. Always loved the Masaki Murakami's design. But well, that's yet another thing about Yoshiki Takaya. Both his armor and character design is very nice.

Merged review:

Big battle, a proper introduction of Masaki Murakami and even more complicated things for Sho. It looks like this issue wants to clarify things, but as usual with Yoshiki Takaya, it has its own things that only make things even more complicated. A lot of great writing and cool action again.

Merged review:

Another great development. Not only the story doesn't stay still, it keeps getting more and more interesting. Finally, we've got a look on Sho's father, there's a new mysterious character introduced and it looks like things are getting more and more complicated for Agito. Yet another great issue of this amazing manga.

P.S. Note that cute little Ultraman tribute.

Now that's how you do it. So many amazing things happened on only a few pages. More about Richard Guyot, a new kind of enemies, personal development for Sho and Mizuki... On just a few pages. Without feeling rushed... That's what I call a good writing. Also, I really love it that Yoshiki Takaya didn't forget about the most unique thing here and added some blood. I'm not a big fan of blood and gore, but since the entire thing is based on flesh-oriented armor... it's nice to see that it didn't become a gimmick with time.

Merged review:

Activation of the new weapon and more about personal side of the story. Which is very nice thing to see, because, unlike the original three Kamen Riders, Sho have much more things to care about. Mizuki, for example. And in this issue Yoshiki Takaya decided to play on it. Which worked perfectly good.

Merged review:

Another secret of the Control Metal. Yoshiki Takaya keeps showing us more and more Guyver powers in his own amazing way. With a lot of mystery and cool battles.

The second issue that collects the chapter from seven to twelve. And I must say that this issue shows another side of Takaya-sensei and his talent. The thing is - he doesn't waste our time. Even though the events here don't feel rushed, it doesn't feel like we're wasting our time reading some "fillers". It's only a second issue, but a lot of important things already happened. We've got more drama, more personal stuff, more mystery and more story with a new important character introduced. Who's very charming and comes with a stylish gun and racing car. Which gave this issue a nice little aftertaste of the old TV shows about police detective and private investigators. Absolutely brilliant reading for those who like the genre and for those who didn't read anything like this before.
