A Mortal Indiscretion

Rate this book
Justin Bertolli lived as any typical 29-year-old bachelor would live his life-until he had a chance encounter with a woman unlike any other. Ambra Taylor was everything he had ever envisioned. Young and beautiful, seductive and sensual. Justin was enamored by this enchantress. But there was something puzzling about Ambra as well. The way she drifted in and out of his life, and questions that he could not answer. Why wouldn't she enjoy one day with him? Why was she so ambiguous about her career? Her life? Her past?

A Mortal Indiscretion is a love story between a mortal Justin, and a vampire named Ambra. I never like to give plots away in my reviews but what I will say is the author takes you on a journey. This novel is very different than most vampire books I have read, as it does not focus so much on the whole killing and turning aspect. This focuses more on the relationship between Ambra and Justin and the hurtles they face in falling in love with eachother. The book is quite long however, it gave the author plenty of time to develop the characters and the story. It jumps from point of view and it goes from modern day all the way back to the 1700's explaining how Ambra became what she was. There of course is plenty of little plot twists and turns that will make the reader want to keep on reading. If you are a lover of vampire books or even just a good love story than I highly recommend this book.

Couldn't get enough of this book...can't wait for the next in the series. I would highly suggest to everyone to read this if you are into vampire novels and even if you are not!! I honestly think it was better then Twilight and any other vampire book or movie...

I read the authors cut of Mortal Indiscretion which had a few typos, thus a 4 star review.

Updated to 5 stars with this version.

Justin, a human, meets Ambra a vampire. Can romance endure between to totally different people?

No spoilers here.

Book is well written, holds your attention and is a page turner. Well developed characters.

Highly recommend

I cannot say this was one of the best books I've read. There WAS something about it that kept me reading. I really liked Ambra and her soft vulnerable personality. I am getting a bit tired of the strong, sassy vampire and Ambra was a breath of fresh air. I really wish the love scenes would have had more detail. No one wants to read "they made love" and then move on. Overall, I did like the book, not love the book.
