A both a potter and gardener, author Jim Keeling combines practical horticultural skills with a visual appreciation--not only of the plants but of the pots themselves.
Most of the time, I felt like I was reading the author's blog. I don't care for the "When the sun is low on the horizon, I count my daisies then slip my fingers into the cool clay," sort of vibe. Useful information? Sure, if you can cut through all the purple prose to get there. I prefer my non-fiction and reference books to feel like their genre when I read them. It might be just the book you're looking for, it wasn't what I wanted.
