"Guide to Dinosaurs" by ICR is a welcome change to the majority of dinosaur books. It teaches from a biblical creation perspective, but it's laid out like a Dorling Kingsley book. There's well-written content and (mostly) good quality pictures with a clean, easy-to-read layout. This book is short, but comprehensive. It covers everything from dinosaurs in the Bible to the pre-Flood world, to dinosaurs on the Ark and the great Flood. From the post-Flood world following the Ice Age to dinosaur myths, to the great fossil hunts and other discoveries of the 19th century. The last third contains a comprehensive look at the different dinosaur kinds. The book's content is sometimes repetitive and some watercolour illustrations are lacking, but as a whole, it was very enjoyable. Although I've read many dinosaur books throughout my life (most that were unsurprisingly evolutionary-based), I still found something new to discover in this "Guide to Dinosaurs".

In our house, we are very much in our dinosaur-loving era. 🦕 We have so many dinosaur books in our house! 😆 And yet, when someone asks for a dinosaur book recommendation…I’ve hesitated because it’s hard to find ones that aren’t full of evolution.

And then I saw this one from the Christian publisher @harvesthousepublishers . 🥹 I can hardly express how excited I am about this book! 🦖 It is packed full of facts and fossils, but also comes from a creation perspective, for which I am so grateful.

If you too have a dinosaur-loving member of your household, I highly recommend getting a copy.

By the Institute for Creation Research, so it contains a biblical worldview on dinosaurs, how they lived, and how they died. They spend a little time refuting and bringing to the forefront some problems with evolutionary and secular theories, however, much of the text focuses on what we know and what we suppose about these land reptiles. It includes many pictures of dinosaurs and related research, such as fossils, digs, discoverers, and comparably sized animals.

This is a phenomenal resource. Not just for my kids, but for myself as well. Although I’ve known and heard many of these things over my years of digging into apologetics and resources regarding the Flood and a Young Earth, this book explains them all so well and even more that I hadn’t heard about yet. I don’t think you’ll find a better resource out there for both young and old alike. This book is extremely comprehensive from the types of dinosaurs to their functions, the fossils and problems with the current, accepted “evolutionary model,” and so much more. Every sentence of this book is both Bible and Science based and full of useful information that is good for both teaching and rebuking. I highly recommend this book!!
